just wondering if anyone else is in limbo land? I am 4 DPO and been having some symptoms, tender boobs, nausea, cramping but obviously to early to test .

Just wondered if anyone in the same situation

I'm cycle 1 ttc #2. What cycle are you on? I started quite obsessive but I've chilled a bit now!

i am going on the first day of my last AF as 19th Nov are you roughly about the same ?

I don’t know if I’m just more aware of these symptoms as thinking about it more but my boobs used to get tender the couple of days before AF but this was like a day after i was suppose to of ovulated. Do you track ovulation?

Yes cycle 1 meaning the first month trying to conceive. How old is your first child? Mine is 2 at the start of January 🙂

My last AF started on the 15th Nov. I didn't ovulate until day 16 though I think so I'm roughly 6 or 7DPO today. Yes I've been tracking with ovulation strips as when we tried for our first baby -the first couple of cycles I just went by the Flo app. I realised after I started tracking on month 3 that I'd most likely been missing my fertile window completely! I wasn't sure where my body would be at since having a baby so thought I'd start tracking straight away.

Do you remember what symptoms you had last time? When we were TTC last time by body kept playing tricks on me. First cycle I had loads of nausea and 2nd cycle AF was 4 days late and both were negative. For those reasons I try not to pay attention to symptoms. However saying that, the cycle I got pregnant last time I had a horrendous cold and I'm the same this time so time will tell!

Hi @Mumma8538@Daisyrobin123 , I'm 4DPO according the BBT chart, and this is my 3rd cycle since July - I have PCOS so have longer cycles 30-45days however current one CD74. I've been taking some supplements a few months now, cut back all sugar and low carbs and started metformin a week ago and although not lost any noticable weight, I seem to have ovulated on CD70. Will know for sure when AF arrives or even better BFP!

I'm also trying not to pay too much attention to symptoms, but it's so hard!

Are you guys observing BBT past ovulation?

No not observing BBT, I've not done that to be honest and don't really know much about it! Do you?

Yes I've not had a cycle this long for many years. But I'm chuffed over the possibility of having ovulated this month, so even if I dont get BFP, I will still celebrate my period 😅 feeling quite excited and definetely impatient for the outcome.

I'm still very new to BBT recording but have been reading quite abit on here (If anyone else reading has anything to offer please do so). I've read on here about 'implantation dip' in BBT chart, which appears in the luteal phase of the cycle, if you google theres lots more info. So it might be worth looking out for that too

See my BBT chart below, according to this my luteal phase started 4th Dec (ignore the cycle day count at the bottom, I only start recording BBT in Nov hence why its calculating the first BBT as CD1). My BBT continues to rise in the luteal phase, as heading towards a period. Will be keeping an eye out for a dip!

i have just been going by the app so could be completely wrong, I may look into the ovulation test strips if we struggle .

my main symptom last time was sore boobs but I remember them being more tender then they are now. Maybe shouldn’t symptom spot, can play tricks but then could be some the same.

hey @Soulsta sorry I am new to this was does CD - stand for ? Is this because you don’t have regular AF? Sounds like you have been working hard on lifestyle changes which they say massively helps with becoming pregnant. No I’ve not tracked BBT and wouldn’t have a clue where to start . I see so you know if implantation has occurred as it dips.. has there been many positives from this? What do you use?

@bulletproofcoffee Oh hello welcome - we can all wait together I think mines 18th Dec which is the day after my period is due they say is best to take a test but I see lots of people do it early - when will you test from?

I think because it is a waiting game you focus more on symptoms as that’s the only thing you can look out for at the minute.

@Soulsta Ha ha we will all celebrate your period with you if it's not a positive (which hopefully it is!!)

@Mumma8538 Definitely recommend the test strips for checking when you ovulate if it gets a few months down the line and nothing is happening. With my first baby, the app said I ovulated on CD14 (cycle day 14. Day 1 being the first day of your period). But when I used the strips they showed me that I actually ovulated on CD16/17 so I was probably missing my fertile days.

At the start of the month I went in a bit obsessive (which led me to being back on here lol) but I feel quite chilled about it now. We do lots of travelling so I tell myself I can just book another trip if it doesn't happen yet. I remember by month 3 last time though I was getting quite impatient, even though I absolutely know that it's no time at all compared to a lot of people. Sometimes I look at the infertility forum on here which puts things into perspective.

Are you both planning on waiting to see if AF comes or testing beforehand?

@Daisyrobin123 I just fell pregnant last time so I haven’t had to think about ovulating etc so this is all new to me, so is good to know as I am a lot older now (38) so I imagine if I don’t get a BFP that I will have to think more into test strips… do you just wee on them and it tell you right ovulating … have sex now !! In my head, I’m thinking if you do then surly you will get pregnant but I suppose lots of other factor to think about. I would be intrigued to know when I actually ovulate as I think I know as I get sharp pain but be interesting to confirm it.

I joined on here as when I was looking at symptoms and bits it would come on to here and previous chats. Quite nice talking to people who are waiting too.

booking trips sounds good fun and then you get all relaxed again , each person is different in what they class as a long wait, as 3 months bearing in mind you only get 3 tries in that is frustrating !

I keep thinking shall I just wait as with my last pregnancy I didn’t get a BFP until 2 days after my AF was due, last time I knew I was as I said I feel pregnant in the few days running up to when AF was due. I could barely touch my boobs and I’ve never had that before. I also got looking back sharp pain on implantation up my mini, I didn’t know it at the time but looking back it def was!

when do you think you’ll test ?

@Mumma8538 sore boobs around implantation and after seem to be reported alot by women, also a symptom before AF. Is the pain different or similar? CD = cycle day, so CD1 would be the day you start your period. All of these acronyms, took me a while!

Yes because of my PCOS my cycles are irregular, so I dont get period every month on the dot. And this is at the back of irregular or no ovulation. I'm really hoping I have ovulated this month, BBT is indicating but like all things we can't ever be sure.

In re to implantation dip it's a hit n miss some get it some don't, alot of women have had successfull implantations but no dip.

@Daisyrobin123 I'm going to hold out and test14dpo (days past ovulation), if I can. The wait is going to kill me but I might feel more down looking at negatives - coping mechanism lol.

@bulletproofcoffee it's so hard to resist testing early, isnt it? Being on this forum is helping hopefully it will keep me away from testing strips haha. Are you trying for #1?

@Soulsta not sore today just full and no other symptoms today . There is so many acronyms to work out! I will get there !! It really does seem pot luck if you get pregnant or not for everyone!

like a mind find, check this check that but if your body doesn’t want it, it’s like it’s not happening… try again!

I think I will wait as well as one they are expensive and two waking up on a negative when testing isn’t the best. As it could just be we are doing it far too early.

As of today, I definitely don’t ‘feel’ pregnant

If I am not pregnant I am in for a big nasty AF as the nausea has come back and I read that if you have a heavy AF brewing you can get this 😭

@Mumma8538 oh no, are you taking any supplements or meds that can be causing this? Hopefully it's an early symptom!

It really does seem like pot luck- I was so naive to think we could dtd around ovulation and boom we'd get BFP🤦🏽‍♀️

As days are passing, it's getting more difficult to not test!

Hi ladies, I'll join you 😊 currently a whole 1 day dpo cycle 1 ttc #2. I've been using OPKs this month (I had a bizarre 3 day very light period in november - my first since having #1). There's something really satisfying about seeing the little line come up! App says AF is due 22nd Dec but my cycle might be a bit off with it being my first, not sure when in going to test, what are you all thinking?

I didn’t think of that @Soulsta i started to take the pregnancy vitamins but folic acid is suppose to help with nausea .

I am wanting to do one too but for everyone it seems to be different when they get their BFP, I’ve read some DPO10 but some not until after AF

don’t I was like that thinking it’s just natural isn’t it you, I do think our lifestyles now play a big role.

hey @Impatient1987 you are on the dreaded wait too! Welcome to the strange , weird place to be 😵‍💫 hopefully with it being the run up to Christmas it will make this time go quicker! How old is #1 - I would for you to be temped to wait until Christmas morning.. imagine that Christmas present!

Hello, im am on cycle # 8 TTC, we are a 30 years old couple with no known medical condition. My AF due date is 13th December, I just did a clearblue digital pregnancy test and it was negative. I am not surprised because I have no pregnancy symptoms and I deeply know (but can’t explain how I knew) since the beginning of our TTC journey that we would be infertile.
I am out for this cycle again, and don’t even feel like celebrating Xmas ….

I'm currently 5dpo. Trying not to symptom spot this month but it's hard not to! I know it's too early for anything to really be going on but I've had a few symptoms, just not getting my hopes up.

We only BD once this cycle as I was away but it was two days before ovulation so we will see. This wait is killing me 😂 I’m only 4DPO and I’m driving myself mad lol
ive just turned 40. If I’m out this cycle then it’s onto trying for a September baby.

Im 6dpo now Trying not to symptom spot but I've been having noticable pain in lower abdominal left side, which sometimes feel like consipitaton (I've been pooping once every 2days sorry tmi) and other times menstrual cramps (esp upper legs inbetween), I've had them for 3 days worst when lying on back. I've never had pre menstrual cramps before, usually a twinge a day before that lasts a couple of mins.

It could just be the supplements I'm taking.

Anyone else familiar with this?

I would love to wait until Christmas morning but as the name suggests I'm not know for my patience 😂😂

#1 is just 9 months so I'm sure some people think I'm bonkers but I'm 38 now and have loved the whole experience (I wasn't sure I even wanted children 2 years ago!)

TTC is such a new world to me, I need a glossary to understand all the acronyms but it's definitely helpful joining these conversations with people in the same boat. Fingers crossed we all get some good Christmas news! I'm looking forward to seeing some lines!

I've been having night terrors again - got this after giving birth (so not a pregnancy/conception symptom) but they are bizarre, has anyone ever had them?

Hello @Internette i have read on other posts that people have said the clear blue ones aren’t accurate and best to go with a pink strip one? Maybe you could try that…. On my last pregnancy , I didn’t get a positive until 2 days after AF and that was with a clear blue ….it must be hard for you but try and keep positive and think if you don’t get a BFP you can eat all the cheeses and sink down with wine… but it could just be is too early !

@Karinx welcome to the waiting game… which symptoms have you had… when do you think you’ll test?

@Newmumwales snap you are on the same cycle and baby number as me 🙃 we only did the deed once and was about 2/3 days before ovulation- but that’s going by an app not testing. Do you test for ovulation?

@Soulsta i have been having cramping and I only normally get that 2 days before AF and I can go for a poo multiple times a day but I’ve been constipated also 😵

ha fair enough @Impatient1987 at least you are honest ! The wait is long enough to be fair ! It’s funny isn’t it how people can change their minds and then want more than 1. I don’t think you are bonkers as everyone is very different, but I’m not sure I could personally have a 2 young ones, I am also 38… so thinking time is against me too! I haven’t had night terrors but vivid dreams they have been a bit wild 🤪

We are most definitely on the same cycle, similar age I’m 40 and this is also baby number 2 for me. And you also did the deed once like me haha! I don’t track ovulation. Just go on what Glow or Flo apps say. My first I caught straight away more or less. Hoping this one won’t cause me grief lol x

Hi, this is my first post but been reading this forum for a while! I am 29 and got married end of August. I had my coil out just before the wedding so have been trying since (although not especially hard, no tracking ovulation or anything). I’ve started using an app and think we dtd a couple of time in my fertile window. I usually get ovulation cramps but didn’t notice them this month so fingers crossed the timing was right! AF is due 18th and my plan is to do a test Christmas morning if AF hasn’t shown up by then, as hopefully with it being a week late it should be almost a certainty. I am usually very regular, so have never been over a week late.
It’s going to be a very disappointing AF if she does show up as I’ve fantasised my life into a Christmas movie! Keeping my fingers crossed for all our Christmas miracles!!
