Anyone in DPO limbo land

just wondering if anyone else is in limbo land? I am 4 DPO and been having some symptoms, tender boobs, nausea, cramping but obviously to early to test .

Just wondered if anyone in the same situation

Ah amazing! Personally for me, my BBT even before TTC was the best way of knowing my cycle, where I was at and what my body was doing, I highly rate doing it and keeping a note, it's been my method of contraception using natural cycles for a year after I came off the coil due to complications. Ofc once you see a higher temperature you've already ovulated so need OPKs but I hope it makes you feel better and more confident in your body's cycle by using it!!

@elleaddams im sorry it was a BFN. When’s your fertile week now? Us ladies are around about the same week. Week leading up to new year. I’m going to need your help with tracking so please be near lol

Ahah I'm not going anywhere, we're in this together 😂 my fertile week will be likely 2nd-8th Jan. Knowing my body, I'll likely get a positive OPK on the 3rd/4th and ovulate on the 5th/6th of Jan
That first week back at work is gonna be a lot of work 🤣

I got the same one @Newmumwales ! When do you actually do the ovulation strips ? And when do you starting tracking your BBT? Is there an app to use?

@Mumma8538 ive downloaded the premom app and will log my BBT on there and ovulation. I know you do your BBT reading when first wake and haven’t got out of bed for your resting temperature. When it comes to starting ovulation strips I’ve no clue. I’ve got them all now but no idea how to know for sure when I’m going to ovulate. Had a chat with DP and he’s on board so BD through Christmas. I feel really nervous. First month trying baby number 2!! Agghhhhhhh lol

@Mumma8538 yes AF is in full swing, this is my first proper period since June 2022 so I have 18months of pms moodswings going on 😂😂

Question for the bbt experts (going to start tomorrow. How critical is it to track BBT at the same time every day....I usually wake up around 7am but on office days (2 to 3 a week) I'm awake at 6am.....Will this impact my measurements? Going to start tomorrow. Next week is fertile week according to the apps 🙌🙌

It's pretty important. So my average wake up time in a week is 6:30-7am. So they say 2 hours each side to be most accurate after 4 hours sleep.

Sometimes I go to bed at 10 and wake up at 5am naturally, so I take it then and go back to sleep. Other nights like last night I struggle to sleep so I took it after the longest sleep at 7:50 this morning.

It's important you do it before you do anything else, as it's your resting temperature. So I just take mine when I wake up naturally between 5 and 9. I put it on top of my phone when I go to sleep to ensure I pick it up

Thanks @elleaddams so I managed to take it today at 6, something. Along as its around a similar time and is the first thing I do it should be good then. Thanks for that.

@Newmumwales do you have to pay for the premum app? I’ve read that you should use the test between 10-18 days after the first day of your last period to find out when you ovulate. The test line has to be darker than the control line and then you know you are going to ovulate so it’s DTD time! I will try to remember to do mine as hoping I don’t forget with it being Christmas ! It’s official if DP on board !! Happy humping !

dies the @elleaddams BBT pick up when you are ovulating or if you have conceived or both? Which app do you use to track yours ? I’m going to say with your first month you don’t really pick up on much as you need a month to compare to… is that right?

So you can tell if you've conceived if you don't bleed and your temp remains high. You don't necessarily need months to compare to as you can see the rise as soon as you ovulate. Take my chart for example, I use natural cycles.

You can do it manually but finding your average follicular phase temp (from your period until mid cycle) so say you measured between 36.1 and 36.3, your average is 36.2, and then add 0.2-3 degrees to that and you get 36.4-36.5. You may get a higher rise but you know when you're hitting 36.4 and above you've ovulated in the last 24 hours. Hope that makes sense.

ladies how we all doing? We haven’t had a chance to DTD yet and today I’ve entered my peak according to the glow app but these are my BBT and tests. It’s so confusing

@Newmumwales sorry I’m not the best person to ask but that is confusing as how come your day 9 is darker then day 10?? I thought it would have got stronger. I did one Ovulation test yesterday and it was there but not very strong… I will do another one later to see. I’m hoping we are good after the Christmas rush!

We DTD yesterday on cycle day 11 as I’ve entered my fertile window. I’m supposed to ovulate on New Year’s Eve. That test looks pretty dark but still saying low.

That does look like a very dark line @Newmumwales do you think it’s because the picture is darker that it isn’t picking it up as much? I am CD13 today and my app says I ovulate on the 30th so going to pounce on my partner tonight 😋

@Impatient1987 im the same! Apps saying New Year’s Eve but I had my darkest line on 28th. Been all light. I’ve no bloody idea either 😢

@Newmumwales oh know! Wonder what it is?! Maybe we'll get a peak tomorrow? Sometimes I think using these apps just causes stress because our bodies go rogue. Have you been DTD just in case?

@Impatient1987 ive literally no idea. The LH test wasn’t peak on 28th though. We DTD the night before. We’ve not done it since as hard with daughter being ill and awake at night. Was planning on it New Year’s Eve night but looks like I’m not ovulating now ffs! I’m so confused. The darkest was on cycle day 11. How are you doing? DTD?

@Newmumwales this is my chart, my strongest was CD10... we DTD CD8 and CD10, and hopefully tonight (CD13) was trying to do every other day after AF but last night didn't have the energy plus I'd changed the bedding and it was just so comfy! Yes just jump him! This month I've started tracking BBT as well and not seen any variation in it so don't think I've missed it?! Also made a promise to myself to have no pregnancy tests until AF is late...though I'm using the app to track when it's due so no idea whether it's right!!

Amazing how difficult it is to bloody get pregnant!!

@Impatient1987 looks like you’ve not had your peak yet so you’ve still got a chance. BBT I’m doing every morning. How do we use it when we are in DPO and the TWW?

Tested 3 times today and all light lines. Only had one dark test cycle day 12 (wasn’t peak though) said low but line looked same as the control one to me.
DTD cycle day 11.
cycle day 14 tomorrow when I thought I would OV. We will see. I’m lost lol

Yes it's bizarre, last month I had steadily stronger lines until peak of around 150% then they tailed off so it was much more textbook. Who knows what tomorrow will bring...

God knows on BBT after ovulation, I'll be on Google and searching BBT + TWW + Mumsnet in a few days I hope, if I ever ovulate that is!! 🤞🤞🤞
