Anyone else 1dpo? Keep me company!

Hello! I'm 36 and TTC no. 2. This is cycle 6 but I only weaned from breastfeeding a couple of weeks ago so feeling cautiously optimistic as I think it was wreaking havoc with my hormones. Know it may well take a few months for hormones to regulate but remain hopeful!

Premom has me down as 1dpo. Anyone want to keep me company during what I suspect will be a painfully slow two weeks?! DTD 6 times in the last 8 days so i don't think I could've given it anymore if I'd tried - especially with a 2yo to look after! 😴

Aww I'm so sorry lovely! Hope you're ok 😞

Thank you feel a bit sad tonight, never mind not meant to be.

etaketak1991 · 03/10/2023 07:07

@Bey I'm sorry lovely, hoping next cycle is the lucky one ❤️

Does anyone else constantly get targeted ads assuming you're pregnant? I'm just having a down day I guess but the Argos "congratulations, you're expecting!" advert on Instagram got to me a bit this morning.

Oh that's rubbish! Hope you're OK.

All my targeted ads are about infertility, IVF and the occasional home insemination kit! Definitely catering to the over 35 market...

@secondtimelucky87 Oh yeah I'm fine! It's because all of my Google searches from about 8dpo onwards are always "X early pregnancy symptom" 😂 so clearly Google thinks I'm pregnant. It's shitty but I guess that's targeted ads for you. I've started seeing the home insemination kits too after reading a thread on here out of curiosity!

My temp still hasn't dropped below cover line but I've got one of the colds going around atm so guessing that's why. Might have to delete some of the entries later! I've also bought the Conceive plus ovulation support vitamins so fingers crossed they help. How are we all doing?

Daniki · 04/10/2023 09:15

First time I can say I'm glad AF has arrived today because now I can start my letrozole tomorrow! It's all go for me this month so hopefully it all works for this cycle 🤞🏻

Has anyone here had a HSG test before? Can you TTC in the same cycle?

Are you taking those on top of a pre-natal? I'll have to look them up! I'm taking Proceive, omega 3, extra vitamin C and iron. Already feel like I'm rattling 🤣

Hope you're feeling a bit better! So many viruses going around.

I'm OK thanks. Work insanely busy atm so mind has been kept occupied at least! Got a particularly busy one during fertile week so it's going to be an effort finding any energy! Not sure what the game plan is this month. I've got the Clearblue Fertility Monitor ready to use but wonder if it's going to be too much using that, temping AND doing LH tests. Really like having the premom chart for a visual though.

@secondtimelucky87 Yes, on top of a Tesco pregnancy support multivitamin and vitamin d with calcium. My cycles have been a bit weird recently so hoping it'll help settle them. I get what you mean about rattling 😂 When do you start using the Clearblue monitor?

@Daniki Hope things go well this cycle for you 🤞🤞🤞

I hope they help! Heard really good things about Coq10 which they contain.

You start using the CBFM on CD6 which is tomorrow for me so we'll see. I'm still going to temp and do LH sticks this month while it gets to know my cycle so it's going to be a lot of tracking but feels like it's worth a go! Seems to do the job for a lot of people. Fingers crossed! My period was really manageable this month too which is good. Got my doctors appointment Sat morning so we'll see what comes out of that. Feeling positive about the next cycle. Onwards! 😊

@secondtimelucky87 That's good that you've got an appointment so quickly! Good luck for today and tomorrow 🤞

Daniki · 06/10/2023 09:20

@secondtimelucky87 great about your app! I think it reduces the pressure and brings a bit of positivity! 🙌

secondtimelucky87 · 07/10/2023 12:21

Hi ladies, hope you're all well. Had a really positive appointment with GP. She was lovely. Was lucky enough to have all my bloods done this morning and have been referred for scan too, which hopefully won't be needed. Will get bloods results in a week so next steps (if any) will follow from there. She also agreed it makes no sense for me to have investigations but not my husband so will try to put him on the waiting list for SA.

@secondtimelucky87 That's great news! You must feel relieved. What a quick turnaround time too!

secondtimelucky87 · 09/10/2023 07:33

Well my CBFM gave me a high today and said I've had an estrogen rise so despite negative LH test and low temp, it's go time again for another marathon. Can you tell how enthusiastic I am? 🫠🤣🙈 Been awake since 3am this morning so it's gonna be an effort to find the energy later. Will be interesting to see if it gives me any peaks this cycle and if they line up with LH tests.

How are you all?

@secondtimelucky87 Hmm curious! Bodies are strange, aren't they? It'll be interesting to see how it matches up in a few days.

I got some EWCM yesterday but I've also had a fever for two days and up all night coughing last night 😂 DH says he doesn't mind doing AI this month seeing as I'm so poorly so actually might try that?

Daniki · 09/10/2023 10:07

@secondtimelucky87 is this your first time using the monitor? Wondering if I should bother with LH strips this month being on letrozole will it give funny readings!?

Oh no! Is this a new illness or still lingering from your last one? Hope you feel better soon.

Sounds like a good idea re the AI if you feel so poorly! I really CBA today but will try to summon up the enthusiasm. 🤣

Yeah I always seem to start getting EWCM super early too like CD7.

Hmmm yeah good point! GP did say to me that usually aiming for 2-3 times a week is enough.

Yeah first time using it. Have had two lows and first high today so should really start BD today I guess. I think we stopped too early last month though so tempted to skip tonight as we're both so exhausted and just try to go for longer this cycle. It's tiring work this TTC!

etaketak1991 · 09/10/2023 16:58

@secondtimelucky87 A continuation I think! Saw the doctor and got some antibiotics so fingers crossed I'm feeling in better shape soon! I got a very negative OPK today so hopefully still time 👍 Good luck with gathering the energy for your own BD 😂

secondtimelucky87 · 10/10/2023 07:20

Well no BD for us last night. Instead, I fell asleep putting my toddler to bed and woke up very confused at 9:30. 🤣🤣🤣 Still nowhere near an LH peak though so despite Highs on CBFM I think we're OK to start tonight. It's just taking FOREVER to get my LO to sleep atm. She's having mega naps until past 2pm at nursery so I think it's time to have a word about capping them 🤣

OP posts:
etaketak1991 · 10/10/2023 08:24

@secondtimelucky87 Haha I hate when that happens 😂 Did your DH not come wake you up? I agree, might be time to start capping those naps! My girl dropped her naps at just past two but we had building work on at the time which basically forced it 😩 I miss the days when she used to go for 3 hours!!

Nah it's just been taking so long to do bedtime I think he assumed it was just that. 🙄🤣 In fairness I'm not sure I could have faced it last night with how exhausted i was!

Ah mine is at the stage of definitely needing to drop it from a bedtime point of view but also needing it to survive the afternoon! I quite look forward to it being dropped soon!

@secondtimelucky87 I think we're living the same life atm 😂 my son takes AGES to go to sleep at night I struggle to keep my patience 😢 I have to lie beside him last night took 1.5 hours. A few weeks ago I cut his nap and it helped but he was falling asleep in the floor and all in creche and was really cranky when I collected him and for the whole evening and falling asleep in car on way home. So we reintroduced a 45 min nap but it's not really helped. The last week he has been having 2 hour naps because he's unwell so prob why it's back to been up for hours 😖

Aww I totally get you! Up until last month I had the magic of BF to get her sleepy - even though she didn't feed to sleep, it definitely helped! Yeah we lie down with her, cuddle and sing songs until she falls asleep too. Just takes a while!

Tonight was actually quite quick at 40 mins and it was my husband's day (we take it in turns) so I got to chill on the sofa! 🙌

Definitely affects their sleep when they're poorly though! Hope your bedtime wasn't too bad tonight.

OP posts:
Daniki · 10/10/2023 21:29

@secondtimelucky87 only took half an hour so that's not so bad 😂 I'm always the one to do bedtime as my husband farms in the evenings but we take it in turns with the monitor and the night wake ups, which thankfully are getting less 😖 god I remember the ease of when he was little and he was just feed right back to sleep 🥹
