Last night had more but it was a brighter pinky red.

I am roughly 6/7dpo as I don't actually know when I ovulated.

ReginaPhalange12 · 14/10/2023 08:41

@bumptobean it's still so early so try not to worry. Me on the other hand... 11DPO, AF due tomorrow & a stark BNF 😣

My cycle is quite short at 24 days, on one hand it's good so I can start trying again quite quickly but on the other hand I'm back to testing and TWW so quickly it all feels too much sometimes

ceruleansky · 14/10/2023 11:17

@ReginaPhalange12
Are you planning to test again? I've heard working out helps tons in regularizing hormones. Fingers crossed for you!!
Thank you for the wishes!!

@wanderlustre
Yeah, DH and I have decided to have a spa day.. 😄 and we are visiting my parents tomorrow.

I hope you get better answers from your clinic! Unexplained sounds so unclear. What kind of treatments/procedures have you tried before?

@hicketypickety
Thank you! Yes, hoping it works with the new drug. I feel like carbs are the reason my hormones are whacked. I read that there is a corelation.
Anyway, how are you doing??

@Lushfanatic123
Looks promising!! Good luck!

wanderlustre · 14/10/2023 13:39

@ceruleansky We haven't tried anything yet tbh. No one would really touch is until we got over a year of trying under our belts. We just keep getting sent for basic tests that don't seem to show anything.

ceruleansky · 14/10/2023 16:10

@wanderlustre
Oh, if you haven't tried other treatments or scans it's strange that they would directly ask you to start IVF. That's usually the final stop..
Maybe you can discuss possible options with your doctor and decide what you're comfortable with..

ReginaPhalange12 · 14/10/2023 16:36

@ceruleansky AF is due tomorrow so if she hasn't arrived in the morning I'll probably test again but I'm feeling crampy today 👎🏼

Wonderpants3 · 14/10/2023 18:01

I’m currently TTC Number 2, DS is 1 is around 2 weeks. My periods have been back for about 8 months and range from 30-35 days at the mo, I’m CD 22 and still no Peak on OPK, does anyone have longer cycles and ovulate late? Feel like I’m driving myself mad testing every few hours to see if my LH is rising!

MsDeanna36 · 14/10/2023 21:23

Hi everyone. I got my positive 3 days ago. Its gotten a bit darker each day. I'm not even due my period for another 2 days, so got a really early positive.
I want to be happy, but I've had 3 consecutive miscarriages that haven't made it past week 6. I just want to be at week 12, get a scan and see a heartbeat.

wanderlustre · 14/10/2023 22:04

@ceruleansky I did think that. At our first appointment the nurse who took our history said the wait between the test appointment and the results would seem ages (we were told 12 weeks and it's turned out to be 24 weeks) but then afterwards we'd find the next steps towards IVF would happen really quick. But looking at the guidance for our area we should have been trying for 2 years before a referral for IVF whereas it'll be 15 months for us so far by the time it comes around so I don't even know.

Sleepysheepish · 14/10/2023 22:46

@MsDeanna36 that must be so difficult! Try and celebrate each day as it comes 🥰 Easier said than done I know!

bumptobean · 14/10/2023 22:52

@MsDeanna36 congrats on your positive!! Totally know how you feel. It’s so upsetting after a loss that you’re so aware a new positive line doesn’t equal a baby anymore.

Really hope this is a sticky one. Easier said than done but try to distract and treat yourself to make things feel a bit easier. X

Katexx091 · 15/10/2023 00:10

Hello

I have been trying for baby number 2 for 2 years now, but been off contraception for 5 years, just started clomid on day 3 so hopefully it will help. X

ceruleansky · 15/10/2023 02:47

@ReginaPhalange12
Hope she doesn't show up! :(

@wanderlustre
Hmm, it might be worth getting another opinion.. I would assume they'll try things like clomid, IUI or do a tube check first. Did you have the test which checks your tubes already?

@MsDeanna36
Congratulations to you!! Hope things work out for the better this time.

wanderlustre · 15/10/2023 08:21

@ceruleansky Nope, they literally just took bloods and gave me a pelvic scan (both of which my GP had already done for me at 6 months of trying and said were all fine). The only new stuff was that I had a vaginal swab done and my DH gave a sperm sample. So highly doubt there will be much to go on there. So frustrating that we've waited 6 months for tests we know 80% of the answers from already. I was referred slightly early (at 9 months of trying instead of a year) because I've had a couple of out cycle bleeds my GP can't explain but I can't imagine those tests would give much info about that either.

MrsHousePlant · 15/10/2023 08:48

@ReginaPhalange12 hope that you’re okay and AF stays away for you 🤞🏻 I have 25 day cycles so completely understand how you feel. It’s good because there’s no long waits but it also feels a bit relentless sometimes.

I’ve had a flashing smiley face on the CB ovulation test today, one day earlier than the last couple of months that I’ve tracked (where everything has been identical timeline wise). I’m fully on the rollercoaster of wanting this to be our cycle for a BFP, reminding myself not to get my hopes up too much and knowing only a week ago how crushing the feeling of AF coming is.

Sending you all love ladies, it’s so hard sometimes especially when we all go about our day to day lives overthinking while pretending nothing is wrong!

KM8 · 15/10/2023 10:37

With the OPK's do you all test with first morning urine, some say to and other say to test between 10-5 etc? Going to start testing on Tuesday 😄

wanderlustre · 15/10/2023 11:56

@KM8 I usually test twice a day, about 2 and 6pm. That said, the only time I actually got a strong positive off one I took it at 11pm because I'd forgotten to do one earlier.

TTCNumberTwo23 · 15/10/2023 12:00

@KM8 I use Premom OPK's and they say to text between 10am-8pm but I think Clearblue is FMU. I've JUST tested and got my peak about 10/15 mins ago so will text again probably 3 hours and once again before bed to check if it goes any higher :)

BelBabe · 15/10/2023 13:59

Jumping off the fence definitely now for baby no 2. I had been back and forth as I applied for a few new jobs bit got rejected from them on Friday so frig it! Taking it as a sign

I just did an ovulation test, does this look peak? I was planning an early night but I'll horse the coffee into me and entice the hubby tonight if it is lol 😆

TTC October 2023
ReginaPhalange12 · 15/10/2023 16:23

@MrsHousePlant unfortunately AF is making an appearance 😔 I already sort of knew a day or so ago so it's not a complete shock but that last bit of hope. Onto the next month (although apparently my fertile window starts a week today!)
A flashing smiley is always exciting. Is this when you start BD?

I'm not sure if I'm timing things correctly. When is the best time to start & finish BD (in terms of TTC) ? Is it a day or 2 after a peak ovulation test? I wonder if I stop too early?

KM8 · 15/10/2023 16:39

Thanks @wanderlustre @TTCNumberTwo23 I will probably do both morning and late afternoon as I'm using clearblue but they're so expensive so will try to figure a pattern 😂😂so I don't waste any!

Has anyone tried the Seven Seas Trying for a Baby supplements? I already take 5mg Folic Acid which is a high dose from my GP daily due to my body not absorbing enough. But wondered if anyone else takes 5mg and also these supplements on top? Can you do this? Is it even advised? Doing anything I can!

MrsHousePlant · 15/10/2023 18:06

@ReginaPhalange12 ahh so sorry. Even when you know it’s coming it’s not fun.

We’ll BD every other day until I get a static then try for 3 days in a row this month I think. I think we’ve maybe been going for it too much too soon? I’m no expert as this is our 4th cycle trying and I’ve never been pregnant before. Just hoping for the best. Back to exercising, taking some supplements and BD when we can without it being too much!

wanderlustre · 15/10/2023 18:26

@ReginaPhalange12 Our nurse at our initial assessment said every other day is as effective as every day. She recommended 2-3 times leading up to the day of your peak/up to one day after.

@KM8 I currently take a sachet of Proceive Max a day, one Omega 3 tablet and I take one 300mg CoQ10 twice a day. All of this is off my own research though. Haven't been told to take anything by GP/clinic yet.

ceruleansky · 15/10/2023 19:18

@ReginaPhalange12
My Dr advises to dtd for 2 days after you've ovulated and every other day before ovulation during the fertile window. We end up dtd 8 days in a row with maybe one day off in between since we don't want to miss it lol.

ReginaPhalange12 · 15/10/2023 23:03

Thank you @MrsHousePlant @wanderlustre and @ceruleansky I think we've possibly been BD more before my peak than after so I think we'll try a different tactic this time & hope for the best.

Good luck to everyone in the TWW, I really hope this is your month 🤞🏽
