@ReginaPhalange12 thank you! Currently cd12, i usually ovulate around cd16 but my ovulation tests over the past few days have actually been getting lighter! I hope todays is a little darker🤞

I didnt have any symptoms with my little girl until after my positive test at 13dpo so your not out yet!🤞

MixedCouple · 10/10/2023 07:00

@TTCnewbies sorry to hear AF is arriving. Fingers crossed for next cycle.

I am currently 9 DPO BITing either a temp drop today after 4 days of consistent high. Could mean anything. Just plotting along and staying hopeful.

I started talking Ubiquinol 200mg me and OH with Maca root. I only managed 1 day of Castor Oil pack before ovulation due to getting flu. But heard amazing things about Castor oil packs for womb health and even live health.

pontipinemum · 10/10/2023 08:12

Well I'm out AF arrived today. On the good side though it was exactly a 28 day cycle, even though I don't think I ovulated (LH Peaked at 0.63) before DS my cycles were all over the place, I didn't track them but I'm taking months between periods.

I breastfed him for 13 months and had no periods, got my 1st period about 3 weeks after I stopped. This is the 2nd one

I used the easy at home OPKs, in fairness I do think they 'worked' it's just I didn't ovulate. Anyone rate those expensive digital ones? I need more sticks!

ReginaPhalange12 · 10/10/2023 13:43

You @MrsL2019 have you been testing 2 x a day?
That's good to know. I usually spend the TWW symptom spotting but have nothing to spot this time 😂

ReginaPhalange12 · 10/10/2023 13:45

@pontipinemum I found the digital CB ovulation tests work well because they show when you're in your high period as well as peak & I've found with other tests I either get low or peak & miss the few days before

MrsL2019 · 10/10/2023 14:44

@pontipinemum i use the easy@home ones, i fell pregnant first month using them with my daughter.

@ReginaPhalange12 i only test once a day until they start showing as high, once high i test 2x a day and then for a couple days following to make sure they start to go lower again

wanderlustre · 10/10/2023 15:38

I use the easy@home OPKs and I end up driving myself crazy taking like 3 a day so I'd spend an absolute fortune on the digital tests. I do wonder if I should give them a go though. My tests all tend to be low then I'll get a rapid peak of around 0.5-0.7 around CD11 or 12. I think I've only ever had a technically positive test (over 1.0) once in the 14 months I've been using them.

dg3131 · 10/10/2023 15:40

@wanderlustre this is my first month using them but could have written your post myself! Not had a higher than .6 peak but also read that can be someone's peak if they run low. And also doing like 3 a day. It's enough to drive anyone crazy!

pontipinemum · 10/10/2023 16:40

@MrsL2019 I got pregnant 1st month using easy@home with DS. I think I just expected the same this time! Before I just them I had only gone off flo. I had 2 miscarriages before DS and both times it took 6+ months to get pregnant.

@wanderlustre I didn't have a positive when I got pregnant with DS. My peak was 0.88 peak was 0.63 this time.

DTD wise we def didn't miss the time! With a peak that low I might not have ovulated IDK how high it needs to be to actually ovulate.

bumptobean · 10/10/2023 17:10

After joking how much of a clown I was doing a POAS yesterday at 3dpo, I just did another one at 4dpo as I don’t learn lmao. Two of my apps put me at ovulating at different times so I figured I have another tests to feel the emotional hurt everyday then I’ll just do it 🥲

I can see the faintest line ever, doesn’t even show up on camera. I presume it could be an indent as I had one last month similar. Still doesn’t stop me hoping for tomorrow though 🤞🏻

beaniesunrise · 10/10/2023 21:02

@bumptobean ahh it’s hard to resist isn’t it! Fingers crossed you see a line grow darker this month x

sorry for those that have started their AF, hope you all get your BFPs very soon, stay in touch in the thread for next cycle!!
i’m contemplating whether to test tomorrow or if it’s too early at 9dpo.. I was 9dpo when I got a faint line with DC1, so unless my OB didn’t happen on the day I think it did, I might be a day forward/backward. Let’s see how I feel in the morning and if I’m feel brave!!

I think I may have just set the record for the earliest pregnancy test ever taken. I'm on CD6. Not 6DPO. CD6. I only finished my period on Friday. 😳

I've been feeling poorly the last couple of days and my period only lasted 2 days so I got this little seed of an idea in my head that maybe it was just the world's heaviest implantation bleeding and maybe I should just take a test to be sure... it was a BFN of course. Feel like I'm losing my mind. Roll on my follow appointment with the fertility clinic on 31st before I go fully loco.

Givemepickles · 11/10/2023 06:35

Hi ladies, am update from me. Just got a squinter of a line at 11dpo using Boots Early tests. I've been having symptoms since about 4dpo, which I know sounds super early but that's how it happens for me. It feels like everything is being rearranged in there! My sense of smell had already gone wild, not enjoying that delightful symptom. I had v early symptoms with my first pregnancy too but they were a bit different. I didn't test positive till 13dpo then. No sore boots so far this time and the cramping is all in my back not my front.

I already have a one year old DS so feeling more anxious about pregnancy this time since I have to look after him as well. He's picking up lots of nursery bugs at the moment which is obviously horrid for him but also hope they don't impact new bubba if I get them. Keeping everything crossed for a healthy pregnancy. 🙏

Lots of baby dust to you girls. I hope you get a sticky bean soon.

ceruleansky · 11/10/2023 06:59

Just had my cd14 scan and my follicle still hasn't grown. My Dr said my body stopped responding to the drug and that we might have to change from clomid to something stronger.
Last month my follicle was fully matured on cd13.
I'm kinda bummed that I won't ovulate this month so it's just going to be an insignificant tww.
I don't know what else promotes follicle growth. Going to try restricting my diet even further. Last month I lived on salads and eggs and I hated it. But maybe that's what I have to do.
I didn't eat junk food this month but I did indulge in homemade rice and sweets.
Sooo frustrating. 😖

DoloresOnTheDottedLine · 11/10/2023 07:25

@ceruleansky I’m so sorry - nothing worse that doing all that prep, just to be told there’s no ovulation this month. You’re doing everything you can and I honestly cannot see how diet can really have that much of an impact, especially when you’re taking Clomid and Metformin so definitely do NOT worry about a bit of rice or some sweets. Apologies if you’ve told me this but are you taking the supplement Anafolic Alpha? It’s expensive but highly rated to support ovulation. Are they going to try you on Letrozole (sp?)? Hope you’re okay - it sucks.

ceruleansky · 11/10/2023 08:46

@DoloresOnTheDottedLine
Thank you, your words mean a lot each time. I know we are going through a similar treatment so you can understand.
DH says to keep my chin up and we still have several chances before we go for IVF.

I'm not sure what the next treatment will be. I was so shocked about the follicle not growing that I just said OK and left. My Dr didn't even charge me for the scan and consult today.

I think the next treatment could be FSH injections + clomid to induce hyper ovulation.
I have one last scan on cd16, that's Friday. If it grows by then we can try this month.

Anyway, even if it grows and I don't get pregnant this month, she will change the drug. She said clomid cycles will not help me. I'll try to ask her what the new drug will be during my visit on Friday.

ceruleansky · 11/10/2023 09:14

@DoloresOnTheDottedLine
I'm not taking Anafolic Alpha.
Only folic acid, Estradiol, metformin and a multivitamin called ovacare.

Does Anafolic Alpha help?

DoloresOnTheDottedLine · 11/10/2023 12:23

Sorry @ceruleansky , I mistyped. It’s called Inofolic Alpha. You can buy it from Amazon although it’s rather spendy. According to my Consultant, it’s the best “over the counter” supplement/treatment for PCOS and to stimulate ovulation.

Definitely worth a look although all the costs mount so quickly. My period arrived today so I’ve just forked over another £750 to my clinic to start my next cycle. My prescriptions cost about £60 a pop as well - all very painful!

thinking of you today and hoping you’re okay - my husband does a similar “keep your chin up” spiele but sometimes I think it’s okay to spend a day or two wallowing in self pity - I certainly do!!

HRHXO · 11/10/2023 12:43

@Givemepickles I have a DS who is 14 months and he is picking up every single bug at nursery too, nervous to catch anything from him (so far I've caught pretty much everything he has had!). I am basically planning on using it as a bit of an excuse at work though, when I was last pregnant I felt so sick every day for the first trimester so if I feel that way again I'm going to say it's just nursery bugs lol

ReginaPhalange12 · 11/10/2023 13:03

I'm 8DPO today and still not feeling anything, maybe a little bit of heartburn once in a while but I do get this occasionally when I'm not in the TWW. No cramping or aching, it's all a bit strange when AF is due in 4 days. Im not even feeling bothered about testing because the disappointment is so overwhelming at times.

@ceruleansky i'm sorry you didn't get the news you were hoping for. Look after yourself over the next couple of days, wishing for better news for you on Friday

ceruleansky · 11/10/2023 14:07

@DoloresOnTheDottedLine
Okay, I'll definitely check it out. Sounds promising. I'll try anything at this point to avoid ivf.

That is pricey! I agree though we're forced to spend a lot on scans and medication. Every. Single. Month. I hope your next cycle is the one. 🤞

You're right, it's only natural.
I'm just wondering how it worked last time and why it didn't this month. Trying to think about what I did differently. I generally try not to think too much about what my body can't do.

@ReginaPhalange12
I hope no signs is a positive sign!! Sending you tons of baby dust!!

Thank you, I will. 💓 I'll definitely update on what Friday's scan shows.

HarrogateGirl · 11/10/2023 14:25

@beaniesunrise Would love to join this group! We are ttc for the first time this month and im 36...almost 37 so i know age isnt on my side! I've been on the combined pill for the last 4 years and stopped taking it 2.5 weeks ago. I havent had a period yet so no idea about my cycle or ovulation etc which scares me a bit! Its great to read everyones experiences as im so excited trying and really want a baby but don't have anyone else to talk to.

HarrogateGirl · 11/10/2023 14:54

I've been taking these too for a few months to prep, also fish oil and CoQ10.

HRHXO · 11/10/2023 15:18

@HarrogateGirl I used to work in Harrogate! I'm a Leeds lady! X

beaniesunrise · 11/10/2023 15:30

@HarrogateGirl Welcome welcome! 👋
@Givemepickles ahh keep us updated! I’ve got a little one too so understand your concerns and also not wanting to tell anyone yet 🤗
@ceruleansky @ReginaPhalange12 sending you baby dusts and sorry to hear 🌹
