Couldn’t find a thread so thought to create one and see who else will join the community!

Preparing to start TTC early October based on my cycle.

TTC: baby no.2
Age : 29
average cycle is 28 days for me 😊

Also had covid last week and AF came after 19 days. Very light tho. Was strange but I can only put it down to covid messing everything up

TTC baby no2. My son is 9 months old but we struggled to get pregnant with him due to PCOS and long cycles. Finally cracked it by going private and had my metformin increases and taking inositol. I literally got pregnant the month after the private consultation! This was following 2 mc's and 18 months of trying.

I have been breastfeeding so only just got my period back last month (oh how I've not missed that!) and I'm delighted to have caught a very positive ovulation test a couple of days ago. Here's hoping we don't have such a struggle this time round 🙏🙏🙏 Officially 2dpo so nice to have others in a similar boat for support. I found these threads such a source of support last time xxx

Yes! Every other day until positive lh test then everyday. For four days. I think we did it 10+ times - very exhausted. Hope it works!!

I think I’m 9dpo/10dpo today and I caved with the tests. I took a frer Monday morning and I definitely imagined a line that only appears when I twist it every other way under a bright torch 😂 I’ve taken another one, Clear Blue, this afternoon and fairly certain it’s a shadow/an imagined one again. Anyway, I’ve made myself crazy. I’ve got one left which I’ll take in the morning as by then I should have a line without having to twist and turn it, otherwise I’ll need to accept that I’m out again this month. Wish I could be one of those calm, wait to see if AF shows up people.

I took another test this morning (12DPO). The brand I used says it's 99% accurate at 4 days before a missed period (which I am today - short cycles). It was a BFN so counting myself out for the month. No more tests. Just going to wait for AF on Friday now.

@justkeepswimming2701 I find it impossible not to test. I just think of my old headteacher pulling boys and girls apart and shouting TOUCHING MAKES BABIES, I wish they'd have told us how hard it can actually be

I need help
I got a very faint bfp on a cheapie yesterday morning and then again in the afternoon. Checked again at night, and it was negative. So I tried again this morning - negative again
I bought CB early test and the tests turn out faulty 😭😭😭😭😭

I've had symptoms like nausea, bad taste and cramps and it's all still there

What does this mean 😭😭😭😭 not very hopeful at this point

@ceruleansky I've had a static smiley on the CB but no peak on my easy@home but I'm worried I missed it as I only tested once yesterday. Have you?

Just caved and tested at 8/9dpo. Of course BFN. Especially as it's too early plus afternoon wee.

The same thing happened to me last month. It was my first month so I tested on AF day. I saw a faint line and got my in the evening. I hope you get a BFP!!

I see.. so both the tests are contradictory? That's difficult, maybe you can test again at a later time in the day..?

I'm only on cd6. Have an appointment on cd8 to check if I have a mature follicle, post which my Dr will give me a trigger shot and then I ovulate so.. still a ways to go before we can try. 😅

I'm reading a book on infertility and it has a section on symptom spotting during the two week wait. It says that whilst PMS and early pregnancy symptoms are similar, the pregnancy ones often come a bit later than PMS. So it's the absence of symptoms which can actually indicate pregnancy because you're not experiencing PMS because AF isn't on her way (actual pregnancy symptoms will then kick in a bit later on). Obviously this won't be the same for everyone but I found it really helpful and helped me ease off on trying to spot every little change in myself this month.

@ceruleansky I was away last week & should've started testing with my CB digitals a few days earlier so I think that's why I didn't get a flashing smiley, I also only used my easy@home once a day whereas I usually use them twice so I'm guessing I shouldn't done a 2nd easy@home last night & they both would've said positive. I'm worried I've messed up as didn't DTD before a positive OPK.

Fingers crossed for you. How long after your trigger shot do you ovulate?

@wanderlustre that's really interesting, I'm always symptom spotting and it's always a BFN but when I try & think back to my pervious pregnancy I can't think of any early pregnancy symptoms.

@TTCnewbies ah sorry you've got a BFN, it's still so early but I know the temptation of early testing 😂 good luck!

I tested at 8DPO and no surprises I couldn’t see anything…..that won’t stop me testing again tomorrow tho 🤦🏼‍♀️

That's interesting. Thanks for sharing, I needed to hear that.. I think with medication I've started to have symptoms I never had with my regular AF so I need to get used to these new symptoms.

I understand.. but don't stress yourself out calculating it too much, you did what you could! Let's hope for the best, and if it doesn't work out try again! I think you could maybe mark down the days you'd like to test and have phone reminders. I think with opk you have to test twice a day to ensure not to miss the window..

I didn't take a test tbh, I knew the follicle ruptured via the scan. My Dr asked me to dtd for the next 2 days. But I heard it's 24-48 hours after the trigger shot.

How are we all getting on? I'm losing track on days!

I'm 9/10 DPO today I believe. I was tempted to test this morning with FMU but decided against it. I just don't feel pregnant at all. I think I'll test either tomorrow or Friday now. AF due in about a week.

Morning @TTCnewbies - I’m 10dpo I think (could be 11). I just resisted the urge to test as well but I’m definitely going to tomorrow. I have to say I don’t “feel” pregnant at all either. Not sure when my AF is due as I’m so irregular but if it’s still BFN by Saturday, I think that’s probably conclusive.

@ceruleansky well done for pushing through on the Metformin - if I get a bfn this time, I will restart taking it and stop being such a baby 😂

@DoloresOnTheDottedLine ahh yes, I remember we were similar DPO. Keep us posted. I think I'll test in the morning. I feel silly for testing yesterday tbh! Like I knew it would be negative.

@TTCnewbies i tested on Monday and felt really silly too. But it was itching my brain and actually that negative has helped me hold out this morning - I’d rather wait another day and hope for a BFP! Good luck to you and crossing my fingers. Meet you in the virtual toilet at POAS at 6.30am tomorrow! 😃

@TTCnewbies @DoloresOnTheDottedLine I’m also 9DPO today and have absolutely no inkling that I’m pregnant. I’m mentally preparing myself for AF on Saturday but know I’ll be gutted when it comes. Still trying to talk myself out of wasting a test early this month.

I am feeling pretty down in the dumps about it all and this constant spotting/bloody discharge is doing my head in. DH is pretty worried about it but I don't see any point in going to the GP. I am also exceedingly tired which doesn't help - I'm putting that down to the tail end of my illness/constantly waking up at night (even though I go right back to sleep!). I just can't see a way through at the moment. Sorry that was really miserable!!!

Need some of you to get BFPs to put some pep in my step!!

@ceruleansky you're right & if it's meant to be this month it'll happen, I'm just frustrated with myself. I had ovulation pains last night so presume it's too late to try again today. Good luck for tomorrow

I’m 10 DPO today sounds like there’s a few of us with very close ovulation points! I’m telling myself to wait until Friday to test but I dunno if that’s still too early

Okay, so I went for a wee earlier and there was the slightest tiniest pink tinge when I wiped. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but could the timeline make that potential implantation bleeding? I'm about 9 or 10 days I think! The problem is, when I went for a wee after that, there was nothing when I wiped?! I guess I could also be gearing up to early AF. I think I'll text in the am.
Would implantation bleeding be more like most times i pee?
