So that sounds better.

Fingers crossed for friday.

Managed a BD last night, finally.
How do you tell the difference between his guys and my stuff again? Had sort of cloudy stuff this am.

Moonlit · 03/03/2008 11:35

Hi twinklingfairy - I told my husband and he started laughing...git!!! He thinks I am going mad and that TTC number 2 has finally taken it's toll I am not mad I assure you. But breasts producing milk is a bit weird isn't it????

We shall see!!!

JollyBear · 03/03/2008 11:38

Hello TF EWCM is usually stretchier than your man's boys, i.e stretched between thumb and finger without breaking, and can be clear or cloudy. It can be really hard to tell though!! Fertility friend suggests checking your CM after a bowel movement .

MollieMooma · 03/03/2008 11:42

TF - do you know what I always wondered about that (knowing the difference between CM and your bloke's "stuff") but I was too nervous to ask so glad you did!
Moonlit - you are so restrained not testing before Friday, will keep fingers crossed!

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 03/03/2008 11:49

Did you BF your LO moonlit
I can still get some milk from my boobs (by doing the squish and squeeze) but I think it is cos I BF DD until 13.5mo, she is 17.5mo now. I have a friend who stopped about the same time, her DS is 21mo nd she can still get milk. Not much, but still.
But if you did not BF then it prob is a bit strange. If you LO is over a year, I would imagine by that point all milk would be gone).

Moonlit · 03/03/2008 12:07

I did BF my LO for the first 6 months. She will be 2 on Friday . I just spoke to my sister (she is a doctor), she says it could be a hormone imbalance, but it's unusual that the 'milk' is coming from both breasts. Friday seems so far away

By the way, well done you...... for BF for over one year, that is impressive. I hope I can BF longer than 6 months next time, whenever that is

thanks mm

twinklingfairy · 03/03/2008 16:08

Aw, Thanks moonlit I would have gone on for a bit longer, but DD decided that she had had enough. Also I wondered if it was stopping me from concieving.
Nope, not that then4 months down the line and still no BFP.
Sometimes wonder, if I had tried a bit harder, could we have kept going for a bit longer. I worry that I stopped for my own selfish reasons.
Then I think, even if I did stop sooner than I hoped, it was DD's choice and it is not entirely selfish to want to give her a little brother or sister.
Oops, where did that come from

I had myself convince 2 months ago that sore boobs and milk was cos of a BFP, but no, I think it is norm to still have some in there for a while after. Now it turns out to be pretty norm for me, after ov, to be a bit sore. As if they are swelling up with the milk.
S'not fair that my body has decided not to have a baby just now but to throw some sore boobs in just for fun Oh yeah and extra pains here and there. By my count I have ov'd at least twice already, and due to tommorrow too

But that is just my body, sore boobs is unusual for you, roll on Friday.
Do you have a party planned?
Pos party and a BFP

Moonlit · 03/03/2008 16:59

Hey MollieMooma, Ei, NOAM and last but not least Twinklingfairy

Thank you for all your best wishes ladies. My sister called back and told me to make an appointment with my GP, ASAP for a blood test. As leaky boobs could be a condition that needs to be treated. Pants!!!!! Also, this could be the reason I have not been able to get pregnant for so long, as it causes infertility

In some ways I am pleased, because when you can't pregnant and everyone else can, you wonder 'what's wrong with me'. Anyway, I will be seeing my GP next week on Wednesday. I will still do my pregnancy test on Friday as planned

Twinklingfairy
My daughter hated being BF after I had Mastitis, so I stopped. Although I did try really hard. I think you did brilliantly, you should be proud of yourself, I don't even know you and I feel proud of you. We are having a big party the following weekend as it's my 30th. I have been quite strict with family and Friends and have made a birthday present list for my DD. She is the first grandchild and is very spoilt. Our house is turning into Toys R us. My hubby's family is miffed, but I don't bloody care.

Gosh that was an essay....nice to let it all out.

xxhunnyxx · 03/03/2008 19:17

Hey guys!

I don't know what's going on with my body today, I can't work out if AF is about to arrive or if I've got pg symptoms.
I'm totally exhausted, so so hungry all the time, and got a funny feeling in my tummy, like a heavy achey feeling. AF isn't due til Friday but it feels like it's going to turn up tomorrow hope not.
Please someone tell me they've had these feelings and gone on to get BFP x

ClairePO · 03/03/2008 19:21

Hello all!

SparklyMummy · 03/03/2008 19:55

Hello all.
*xxhunnyxx I've had achey feeling today but think AF might be on her way. Should be due on Fri/Sat i think. Hope it isn't a sign of AF!!
Moonlit I hope it isn't anything serious. Good luck with testing on Fri.
TF I agree about the sore boobs thing...mine have been getting sore and then not sore for the last few days. Prob even more of a sign AF is on her way.
NOAM Was thinking of you today. Hope everything is ok. XXXX
MollieMooma Congrats on your BDathon. I hope you got the egg!
Pinkgirl Sorry about BFN...I got another one today but didn't test until 4. I'm 10DPO I think so prob would have got BFP if I was pg.
EI How is Sian? Did you go to doc?
Piper How you feeling hun? Better today I hope.
FL Only 2 more sleeps...wahooooo!! Where ru tonight?
Emmsy Hiiiiiiiii!! How you feeling?

Sorry for long post and also sorry to anyone I might have missed.

cricri · 03/03/2008 20:14

Evening everybody - I'm still lurking and keeping up with everybody's news.
xxhunnyxx I had the bloated, achey feeling you describe in my bladder area last week before I got my BFP. Coupled with sore boobs, that's what made me wonder... Keeping my fingers crossed for you! And for you too Sparklymummy.
Hope everybody else is OK.

pinkgirl30 · 03/03/2008 20:44

thanks sm sorry about yours too!!

josiejellybean · 03/03/2008 21:29

hey guys eventually found a spare 5mins to catch up with you. ive missed u XXX
pipper i dont know what to say exept !"@@"!* plumers im defo going to join in the angry mob group ei* is forming. i hope your eyes are better and your taking things easy.
pinkgirl im sorry about your BFN
moonlit im really praying that it pg symtoms and nothing more serious. at least you will get the best possible advice from your sister, im thinking of u.
NOAM how r u?
XXhonyXX i hope af doesnt get u
im sorry if i missed anyone but there was alot to catch up on.
Im feeling sorry for myself at the moment because im back at work tomorrow i cried all over the weekend and took it out on my DH which made things even worse because now he thinks that i dont want to leave our LO with him which couldnt be further from the truth as id rather DD was with him than a stranger in a nursery but im just going to miss her and hope DH starts getting up in the night because at the moment he 'doesnt hear her?!' then my LO has started teething i think? and has massive tantrums that last upto an hour! DH leaves her to cry and i can see his point as there is nothing you can do to settle her, but i feel that leaving her without some comfort for that long is too much. i dont know ??? maybe i need to be more accepting of his ways and just get on with things. god this post is an essay you'll be sick of reading it!! take care all of you just incase i dont get a change to talk to you all for a while what with work etc i hope the next time i log on you have all got your BFP's XX thinking of you all JJB

xxhunnyxx · 03/03/2008 21:53

Thanks cricri I'm now feeling more hopeful that AF may not show up.
Also been getting indegestion a lot today, woke up with it this morning, it may just be because I've been eating so much lately, who knows.
DP is away till Thursday now though and I'm under strict instructions to wait till he's back before I can test, so that means I have to wait till Friday morning....don't know if I can wait that long! Then again if AF turns up I wont have to.

twinklingfairy · 03/03/2008 23:21

JJB your DD is 4mo, yeah?
I don't think that she should be left to cry for up to an hour at her age.
Sorry, just my opinion, but any book I have read say 10 mins top, then check.
At that age I could only manage 5. Poor wee mite Does calpol not help?
My DH is the same, even through the monitor (which is now at his side of the bed, I moved to be nearer the door) How can they not hear it(it being the crying, not the baby)
I am not surprised you are upset at having to go back to work. I am in the fortunate position of not having to at the mo and it would just be awful if that ever changed.
Are you going back full time? Hope not, that way you could ease yourself away from you LO.

Aw, thinking of you, would like to give you a hug.
Right ready? Here it comes >

Bit better?

scully · 04/03/2008 04:08

yep, most dh/dp's have the knack of being able to sleep through children's noise . I wouldn't be leaving a little one to cry for longer than a few minutes either, different to my whingey 2yr old who needs a good wail once in a while
Piper, hope you are feeling better, what did the plumbers say when you contacted them? Well done Mollie for exhausing dh How's dd EI, did those symptoms mean anything specific?

pinkgirl30 · 04/03/2008 08:21

morning all
thanksjj
how are you doing scully

Moonlit · 04/03/2008 09:01

Hi Sparklymummy and JJB - Thanks ladies. My DH came home from work yesterday and was really excited at the possibility I might be pregnant. Sometimes I forget how TTC affects him to.

JJB - Teething is horrible for the LO's. One thing that really worked with my DD was to put her head and upper half of her body on a pillow and gently sway her. At the same time say something to her in a soothing voice. She would always fall asleep. Whenever she is teething/ill we do the same and it works. Good luck with going back to work. I went back for 6 months part-time. But when I requested parental leave in an emergency, I was denied this and told to 'choose your daughter or your job'. Obviously I resigned, and hired a solicitor to take them to a ET. They quickly handed over compensation, which will keep us going for a while. Obviously hun, everything will be great for you. But if there are any problems let me know. I know everything about a Mums rights at work .

MollieMooma · 04/03/2008 09:21

Morning ladies, hope your all well?
EI have you taken dd to docs yet?
Moonlit-hope all is well with your boobies hun, let's be positive it's pg symptons and you xxhunnyxx I bet you end up testing before Friday!
Sparkly-sorry you got a BFN
