Hi all....A bit late but GREAT BIG CONGRATULATIONS! to you twinkling what lovely news!

Hope everyones doing ok, not long to the next test pink?! And Beanie getting close for you too....good luck everyone who is testing!

Not much happening here, think I probably ovulated Thurs just gone but as I'm not sure how long my LP just waiting for AF really. Had some sort of crampy feelings for a couple of days so won't be suprised if she turns up over the next few days!

ShayeraHol · 16/03/2008 15:23

Is there room for a newbie on the list? Have been lurking for a while, but now officially trying. It's cycle 1, CD7 (if I've understood properly!) and TTC #1.

Eep! Feels real now

pinkgirl30 · 16/03/2008 15:44

welcome sh thanksei and bss

beaniesteve · 16/03/2008 15:49

I just don't think I am pregnant. Hrrmmph. Just a feeling I have. Though I got into the car to drive home from my sisters and could smell something really strongly, a flowery scent. My car has no air freshner so I don't know what it it but this is the 4th time I have been really smelling things.

Is it a sign, am I hoping against hope, will Thursday ever come...?

Other Half is asleep big night out lastnight into the arly hours hence me staying at my sisters, but I want him to wake up and entertain me as I am bored...

perhaps I should go and check he's alive...

pinkgirl30 · 16/03/2008 15:51

good luck bs

fairydustcomingover · 16/03/2008 15:57

fairydustcomingover · 16/03/2008 17:03

thanks e love yours too makes me feel hungry!! lol
cd 50 form no af testing tom first thing

JaamyButty · 16/03/2008 17:26

Lots of baby dust for you for tomorrow fairydust. BS - sense of smell def improves when pg. Fingers crossed for you for Thursday.

BSS - hope the red witch stays away. Cramps could be sign of pg...or food poisoning!

Welcome ShayeraHol - hope your stay is short but sweet.

Sparklymummy - may be if you talk nicely to Welsh rugby team they might get another win on the right day for you!

Now, here's the thing... Look away now if you can't be bothered don't have time for a long post.

Had mild D&V last Sunday and have been feeling queasy all week very much like morning sickness which I suffer from terribly when pg (today is first day I have felt normal). Thought perhaps food poisoning. But AF started on 6th and lasted (though very light) until 13th so had talked myself in to early miscarriage. BUT DD1 came down with same bug on Thursday so changed mind again to thinking I've just had a bug. First chance I have had to go out and get pg test was today. Just done test and there is a very definite (verified by DH) feint BFP. Ordinarily I'd be delighted but now am just worried that it's the hormones left over from miscarriage hence feint line. DH wants me to go to docs asap becasue if it is a pg then need to get checked out after a bleed but I know our doc has very strict policy of not seeing pg women. Must go through midwife who has a waiting list of about 4 weeks for first appt.
Anyone know how long it takes for homone levels to drop again after mc?

Sorry for ramble.

Any thoughts please.

JaamyButty · 16/03/2008 17:28

Ei - you really dont want a laptop. We have 2 plus pc and end up spending far too much time surfing!

BrightShinySun · 16/03/2008 17:41

Hi jammy thanks but am pretty sure shes on her way! I dont know much about mc's but wouldve thought it would be a good idea to see doc. Sounds unreasonable to not see pg women i would get really stern and demand an appointment!

fairydustcomingover · 16/03/2008 17:43

thanks jb would definetly go 2 c dr

JaamyButty · 16/03/2008 17:45

I know bss but although he's nice enough he just has this way of making you feel like a 2yo and daft for making an appt in first place.

BrightShinySun · 16/03/2008 17:57

I know what you mean but i think if your concerned its worth fighting for. I guess the only other option is to wait a few days and test again.

mibbes · 16/03/2008 18:04

Welcome to the thread ShayeraHol
Love the new name fairydust Jaamy sounds like you need emergency appt with MW, are those available ? How rubbish GP won't see you, but then given you have just had AF you are maybe not really PG (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) so you could maybe sneak an appt with GP ?... but then if he is not much good then could you call NHS direct and ask advice ? Maybe they'll suggest something or manage to get appt for you...? Sorry am not much help just can't imagine how rotten this must be for you. Obviously BFP is great but given the circumstances I can unsterand why you are concerned.
Ei we also have 2 laptops and a PC and spend way too much of our time surfing in front of the TV - not good !

JaamyButty · 16/03/2008 18:14

Thanks everyone. Think will phone gp in am and speak to receptionist who is usually very helpful. We also have a very accommodating practice nurse so may be could ask for appt with her. Deep down I don't really think I'm pg (if I ever was) but want to know for definite.

Will keep you posted. x

SparklyMummy · 16/03/2008 19:38

Evening ladies.
ShayeraHol Welcome to this lucky thread
Bright Hope AF doesn't get you. WE NEED MORE BFPs!
BS Best of luck for testing! I remember having a stronger sense of smell when I was pg.
fairy Lovely new name.
JammyButty Just to say that I read your post and am thinking of you. I have no idea about hormones and m/c but I think you should push for an appointment. Can't you turn up at EPU and tell them you've just started bleeding (a little white lie I know) but if your blood type was RH- (is it?) then you could need anti-d. How many weeks could you be? Could it have been an implantation bleed? I hope you haven't m/c. Really keeping my fingers crossed for you. xxx

EiWishFor3MoreEasterEggs · 16/03/2008 19:54

hey jaamy why dont you ring the gynea emergency in LWH. i was a regular there in early preg with DD and they are lovely. tell them you did the test and then started to bleed they may ask you to go in for an appointment they did for me and they scanned me too but i was about 12 weeks at that point so it could be slightly different but either way you do need some sort of urgent medical advice IMO im so sorry this is happenin to you xx you have my number if you need to talk etc xx
xx ei xx

Emmsy1 · 16/03/2008 20:08

jaamy when AF started was it the correct cd, (was af actually due then) sometimes when pregnancy hormones are quite low because of early pregnancy you can experience break through bleeding, some women get it most months of pregnancy at the time AF would normally be due.
or it could be a chemical pregnancy were there wasn't enough preg hormones to sustain the pregnancy and your faint line is the last of whats left. The worst possible scenario could be an ectopic, but dont think thats very likely, sure bleeding wouldn't have stopped, but yes you definately need to get something sorted first thing! Our epu always say, contact your GP for them to refer you to us! So god knows what your GP is playing at, if you get any pains and or more bleeding before the morning then please go straight to A&E, dont take any shit off anyone in the morning you need to be checked out! really hope that my first thought is the right one, good luck will be thinking of you X

blondieminx · 16/03/2008 21:51

Jaamy just to second the advice of the other ladies, do get yourself checked out.

I think your idea of seeing the practice nurse is an excellent one, as if the nurse then escalates you to the doctor he can't whinge, can he?!

I really hope you get on ok. Thinking of you x

twinklingfairy · 16/03/2008 22:13
