@calimc83 I'm feeling totally fine with it, I quite like the idea of having something that's planned rather than waiting for something to happen 😂 omg I know, I should have taken a picture but felt that wasn't v appropriate 😂. Any tips for the section? X

@FfoxRedN yaaaay! Awh I'm so pleased for you! I thought this one was a girl too initially - symptoms, blood results, nub all looked girly but I've had lots of scans since that have confirmed he is indeed, a boy! Tbf I don't actually ask, they tell me as they say it's v clear with boys 🤷‍♀️ do you have any names planned?

@MrsJGrealish I've used one after mistaking it for the earlier results one. I don't remember there being much difference tbf. How many DPO are you now?

curliegirlie · 19/07/2023 20:10

Does it say the sensitivity on the leaflet? What dpo are you now? I'd guess 25miu as that's the standard non early sensitivity isn't it?

MrsJGrealish · 19/07/2023 20:18

@bunnykins123 not a clue. I stopped doing OPKs on CD17 because was fed up with super low readings. Started again on CD23 and got a high reading now CD30? Could actually count on one hand the times we DTD though😂 leaving it to the weekend anyway xx

@bunnykins123 we have 4 potentials but we're not 100% on any of them! Have you got yours sorted? xx

MrsJGrealish · 19/07/2023 20:22

@curliegirlie I could actually look..that may be helpful 🤣 actually binned the box with the cardboard recycling yesterday but I'll google xx

@bunnykins123 😂😂 stock up on peppermint tea and peppermint capsules, painkillers if your hospital doesn't provide..honestly the first few days I felt like I'd been cut in half and then hit by a bus. But then I suddenly felt a million times better, found the recovery so much easier than a vaginal birth plus it doesn't hurt to go to the toilet or sit down 😉 xx

MrsJGrealish · 19/07/2023 20:52

You girls are brave. I couldn't go through that. I've a needle in spine phobia after watching ER years ago 🙈

@bunnykins123 if you haven’t already, treat yourself to an amazing body pillow as you will probably want to sleep sitting up slightly for a while, or at least with some extra support! The first time I was able to roll over and sleep on my side felt amazing 😅 if the hospital offer you liquid morphine afterwards, take it, it melts all your troubles away.
Dont let your husband make you laugh on your first night home like mine did, it was sooo painful but i couldn’t stop 🤣

curliegirlie · 19/07/2023 21:24

@MrsJGrealish I think a c section is my worst nightmare...I'm fine with epidurals though (despite both times them taking two attempts to work!) but the idea of c section recovery gives me the heebie jeebies after seeing how long it took my mum to recover after having my brother!

MrsJGrealish · 19/07/2023 22:11

@curliegirlie I visited my friend the day after. I've never seen her cry before begging for pain relief 🙈 anyways all the best girls 😂 take the morphine

Seriously though i go into labour with the expectation of my death at about 7cms and I'm pretty sure I went into an animal state around this time. Grunting and everything. The midwife just got in my way. If you've had a traumatic birth with 3rd degree tears I totally understand why a section is preferable 😢. I was very lucky xx

curliegirlie · 20/07/2023 00:03

@MrsJGrealish oh completely and I really didn't mean fear of any one birth type is any more valid than another, it's just really interesting how different people (probably prompted by different experiences) have completely different views of what their preferred birth would be!

TheBirdintheCave · 20/07/2023 06:56

Unfortunately I think I'm having a chemical/blighted ovum. The line is no darker this morning and still not photographable.

By 11dpo last time I got a clear picture of the line.

Pretty sad as we won't get another chance at a transfer until October because of booked holidays :(

TheBirdintheCave · 20/07/2023 07:43

Am I doing something wrong? Do I not deserve to have something work out well for once? 😭😭

calimc83 · 20/07/2023 07:55

@TheBirdintheCave oh sweetheart please don't give up hope yet..could that earlier line be left over triggershot? I know in the very early days my lines were all really faint and I didn't see any progression within 24hrs, would have to wait a few days. Remind me when the official test date is? xx

TheBirdintheCave · 20/07/2023 08:26

@calimc83 Officially testing date is the 25th so 16dpo but we all know here that if you don't have anything by 12dpo then you're out. I'm now 12.5 days post trigger shot so my line should be real. I don't know. I'm just so depressed.

bunnykins123 · 20/07/2023 08:53

@TheBirdintheCave oh hun, I'm so sorry to read your update 😓 perhaps wait another couple of days until your next test? There must be a reason why they tell you to wait to 16dpo?!

@calimc83 @LuckyMoonstone thanks for the tips ladies!

TheBirdintheCave · 20/07/2023 08:59

@bunnykins123 I guess because they don't want people reporting chemicals? :/ Not everyone is a clued in about line progression and early testing as we are 😅

bunnykins123 · 20/07/2023 09:13

@TheBirdintheCave I guess. Perhaps use a digital to see if it's a true chemical? I'm not sure how you would feel about using another test though.

TheBirdintheCave · 20/07/2023 09:20

@bunnykins123 Going to experiment with a few things first. I'll take another test at 10am and see if SMU is better than first as it was yesterday. Then tomorrow I'll take my last ClearBlue and see if it's darker than yesterdays. I don't think I even have 25miu in my system at the moment so I don't think a digital would register it. An early one might but it wouldn't tell me anything I don't already know.

TheBirdintheCave · 20/07/2023 09:49

Well shit 😅 Turns out my FMU is garbage 😂

POAS..the last hurrah 🌈
LuckyMoonstone · 20/07/2023 10:17

@TheBirdintheCave ooh! So what are we thinking, this is the real deal??

TheBirdintheCave · 20/07/2023 10:28

@LuckyMoonstone It's now as dark as it was from the trigger test on Saturday afternoon, so I'm thinking (hoping, praying etc) yes.

MrsJGrealish · 20/07/2023 10:35

@TheBirdintheCave that's a lovely line ❤️

LuckyMoonstone · 20/07/2023 11:16

@TheBirdintheCave oh wow I really hope so! Can’t wait to see some progression pics 🤞🤞

TheBirdintheCave · 20/07/2023 11:18

@LuckyMoonstone There will definitely be lots of pics, of that I can promise 😂
