Just seen a thread about not being able to source FRERs - what is going on!! Does anyone know why they have actually been discontinued? God I hope it's temporary!

@bunnykins123 I can't find any info about it but I've also not been able to find FRERs for ages so I think it could be true.

It's odd - there's obviously something going on in the FRER supply chain, but everything I could see on Google related to other countries and/or a few years back, false negatives and something related to a FR app they promoted on some packages, but nothing recent or UK-related. I noticed they don't appear to have a Twitter account though, which surprised me.

@curliegirlie @TheBirdintheCave so weird! Especially as there seems to be no announcement regarding it either. I wonder if that's it for FRER or whether it is just a case of recalling the dud ones 🤷‍♀️

I'm having an absolute nightmare at the min. So I bled 8 days ago (Sunday) with clots and bright red. Then really nothing bar the odd bit of spotting. So as you all know I'm having a break atm but decided to carry on checking OPKs which I started on Saturday.

Yesterday at work typing at the computer I felt like a warm flood. Ran to the toilet and blood was literally dripping from me. It was all over my trousers and I threw a tampax in and a tena lady pant (for pee🙈) (my staff members are old) soaked threw both in a couple of hours. It finally tailed off at 3 this morning and the pain, unbelievable.
Thank god for black trousers 😢

@MrsJGrealish Jeez that sounds awful :( I'm glad it's stopped now.

I have a FRER in my bathroom cupboard, I could get a fortune for it on eBay 😅

@MrsJGrealish oh god sounds awful, I hope you’re feeling ok now. Any idea What might have caused it?

@LuckyMoonstone I think I've one too 🤑 no. I know I didn't bleed enough but kinda thought oh well maybe that's the new normal. OPKs were very low 3 days ago. But yesterday was not normal. I was for a@e if it didn't stop. Another dr apt for me 🙄 I'm just reeling from it today.

DH is going to Dubai to work for a week at the end of the month too 😔

You guys, I'm so annoyed. I took an OPK this morning expecting it to still be pretty low as I'm CD11 but it's at 0.54 according to PreMom and looks quite dark. I'm now really worried that I'm going to ovulate early this month which means I can't have my FET in September as the first check in scan would fall at the end of our holiday to Cornwall 😭

@TheBirdintheCave when do you normally ovulate? Even if it's dark it doesn't mean that your egg is necessarily about to pop, but it could be gearing up for it. I guess the only way you'll know is if you test again on a long hold to see if it's getting any darker? I always found mine were darker in the evening if something was about to happen!

@bunnykins123 Average is CD19 so I thought I'd have a long way to go yet. The earliest it's ever gone is CD16. I will test again this evening and see what it's like.

@TheBirdintheCave how's the test looking this morning? Hopefully yesterdays was just a blip - I've defo had strong ones that didn't amount to ovulation! I'm okay thanks, section booked for next Tuesday - feels a bit surreal that we will be meeting him so soon!

@bunnykins123 Yesterday was still dark so we dtd anyway. I do them at 9am and 9pm so this morning's isn't for another hour.

I can't believe it's so soon now! Do you have everything ready? :D

@bunnykins123 Darker again this morning but still not there yet.

@TheBirdintheCave I think that's all you can do, keep dtd in case one goes pop out early! My O date did occur any date between CD11 and CD17 when I used to regularly be CD17 when I conceived DD. So it can happen, nothing to worry about but it just makes planning a bit trickier. Let us know how tonight's is!

Also I emailed FRER (you'd think I had nothing better to do 😂) and this was their response:

'I write in response to your email enquiry regarding the First Response Pregnancy Tests.

Church & Dwight discontinued distribution of First Response Pregnancy Tests within the UK and Europe in September 2022, but there maybe could be some remaining in shops.

First Response products continue to be distributed in other International locations.'

I wonder why they were discontinued 🤷‍♀️
