NatalieJane · 25/02/2008 17:41

.... just need to convince DH... even.

kayzisbroody · 25/02/2008 17:43

I have real trouble typing today.

Why do our bodies make us have symptoms?

I feel I have used the toilet as many times today as I did when I was around 9 months with ds. I havent even drunk that much.

Stupid hormones!!

NatalieJane · 25/02/2008 17:46

It is one of those things, as much as you tell yourself it's too early, they're not real symptoms, there is another voice in your head saying, but what if...?

I do it even at times when I couldn't be pregnant, I think it is just programed into us!

kayzisbroody · 25/02/2008 17:49

Its so annoying as Im sure it cant be a symptom but I might have to go have a look in my book.

Playingthewaitinggame · 25/02/2008 17:54

Blardy hell you lot sure do natter, we're on pg 6 already!! Right I am off now, got to go home, help DH with his "homework" (he is on a course at the mo and is struggling, he never was that academic and is dreading the 2 exams in a couple of weeks) and then go to my Mums for my sisters birthday dinner. Its a bit of an occassion actually, she is no longer a teenager (20), so the last baby of the family has really grown up. Plus she will be bringing her boyfriend and this is a huge step, as for a few months the boyfriend issued caused a huge family rift (he is 41). Mum and Dad found it really hard (they are only 48) but things seem to be ok for now.

Talk to you tomorrow.

lardylumps · 25/02/2008 17:57

Good evening NJ are you looking for son number 3 or daughter number 1? I would love a boy!! dp wants another girl..

kayzisbroody · 25/02/2008 17:57

Bye Playing, gosh 21 years, my mum went mad cos one of my exes was 6 years older than me!!

Nat, my book says you may notice you need the loo more before you even find out you are pg.

Playingthewaitinggame · 25/02/2008 18:09

Night Kay (I am leaving honest). I know 21 years! TBH I still personally think its odd. He is divorced and has 2 kids (10 and 13), he is very anti marriage and more kids, so I can't see a long term future for them together. Personally I have a very old fashioned attiutude towards relationships, I would not be with someone I could not see a potential to marry, I was engaged to DH before we moved in together, so I just couldn't be in a relationship like that. My sister does not share my moral/faith based views on relationships and is perfectly happy to live in the short/med term future. She is very happy and they do surprisingly make a good couple, he is a very nice man. Therefore, it is completely irrelevant what I think about it, as long as she is happy she has my 100% support, that is my job as a sister, regardless on my opinions of the matter.

Diege · 25/02/2008 18:11

That book sounds great Kay .
Wow, 21 years Playing! I suppose if it was my dd (or sister)I'd just be a bit concerned about what in earth they'd have in common, but obviously lots!! Have a lovely evening
Nat, I do the symptom spotting too, even when there's 100% no chance (ie, no sex). Like today, felt a sharp pain in breast - yep, must be first symptom from last night's day 7 GOF

NatalieJane · 25/02/2008 18:15

LL, I don't know really, I can see the fun in both, as long as they are healthy they can be anything thing they want! Though I think I will most likely have another boy.

Oooooh Kay, maybe it is more than 'just in your head' then?!!!!

DH is home, so I am off as well, have a nice night everyone, g'night xxx

Playingthewaitinggame · 25/02/2008 18:20

Yes Deige, I know what you mean. Thats why Mum and dad (understandibly) had such a hard time. I think it would be harder if I didn't know him quite well (have known him about 3 years). They actually have loads in common, she is quite mature, he is a big kid. They have the same music tastes, love food, love live music, like to live similar life styles. They do just work, better than a lot of couple I know in fact. I have a quite clear view that I am there to support her decisions, if she asks my opinion I will give it to her, otherwise I will keep them to myself. I am not her mother, I am her sister, my job is always be there for her not tell her I disapprove (which I secretly do)! Right, I am going home now!!!

kayzisbroody · 25/02/2008 18:22

I know, maybe it is.

Diege, its the 'pregnancy for dummies' book and its really good. It was a real help during my first pg.

Night Nat.

Cosmogirl · 25/02/2008 18:35

Hi girls,

I love the new thread title! Still chowing down on the folic every day. It has just replaced the pill so is easy to remember to take every morning.
First day at work and it went really well. People seem very nice and my boss spent the whole day with me going through stuff so very cool. Have a headache now though, as lots of info in my head and hardly ate today.
Hope everyone is OK. I'm not doing very well at keeping up with the thread but was good to see the list has been dragged out again x

kayzisbroody · 25/02/2008 18:38

Hello Cosmo, glad your first day went well.
My folic acid has replaced my pill too. At first I kept thinking I had forgotten something.

lardylumps · 25/02/2008 18:57

Kay I think you are up the duff.... OMG when would you normally have you AF?

kayzisbroody · 25/02/2008 19:03

Not until the 7th of March LL,
I have a horrible feeling it's my body being stupid.

lardylumps · 25/02/2008 19:55

I am keeping everything crossed for you. Must dash now have a good evening.

kayzisbroody · 25/02/2008 20:12

Thanks LL,

I have had an awful evening so far. Ds can now stand up and needs his cot base lowering tried to do it myself and cant.

Getting mums dp to bring the travel cot round so he'll have to sleep in that.

kayzisbroody · 25/02/2008 20:12

Have a good evening LL!

Heron23 · 25/02/2008 20:16

Hi All, has anyone used Advanced HCG Ultra Pregnancy test kit? it is for sale via www.accessdiagnostics.co.uk. it claims that it can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. that is well before a missed period! it also claims that it is the most sensitive test kit on the market that is available to the public.

kayzisbroody · 25/02/2008 20:21

Woah I'm going to have a look at that.

I dont want to wait, though I know I would do other tests afterwards.

kayzisbroody · 25/02/2008 20:33

They are only £2.49 apparently!!!

MoosMa · 25/02/2008 21:04

Blimey this thread moves fast!

On the subject of unmentionables, I have a Phil & Ted and I love it! Neither of them can face you but the newborn in the back is so snuggly and you can gaze down at them while walking along...

Oh, and can someone tell me GOF stands for?

kayzisbroody · 25/02/2008 21:06

Its another way of saying having sex, lets put it that way.
