OP posts:
kayzisbroody · 01/03/2008 10:28

I think we're going to rattle, what with Folic Acid and mumomega.

MoosMa · 01/03/2008 10:29

Oooooooo, now I'm intrigued, are we the same person? No boobs but handsome DHs!

Cosmogirl · 01/03/2008 10:34

Morning! Pinch, punch first day of the month! How can it be March already?! Well, it means we are inching that bit closer to our start months - exciting

Diege · 01/03/2008 10:35

Ah but I am 10 years older than you!! Hey it could be like in one of those films/crazy news stories where the dh lives a double life and travels up and down the country living with each family . They could really be brothers though - even twins!

Diege · 01/03/2008 10:37

Morning Cosmo . It's Saint David's day too (I'm Welsh ).

MoosMa · 01/03/2008 10:38

Now I demand would like to see a picture!

Diege · 01/03/2008 10:38

I will try and get my profile sorted and post some piccies. I've been meaning to do so for ages!

Diege · 01/03/2008 10:40

Have just shown dd3 a picture of your dh moosma, and she got really excited and shouted 'daddy!!!'

kayzisbroody · 01/03/2008 11:13

How spooky is that!!

Apparently everyone has a twin somewhere in the world!!

Diege · 01/03/2008 11:23

I've heard that too Kay. Apparently some friends of mine from year ago were desperately trying to get my attention, even following me down the street, and I just looked through them and crossed the rtad. Transpires that it wasn't me at all, but they swear to this day it was me (err, maybe it was and I was having a 'vacant' moment)

Starshinetiger · 01/03/2008 14:49

Oh my gosh - I missed a day and a half and there was so much to catch up on!
LL - don't worry too much about GOFing, we used to be very much the regular loved up couple, but since DS1 it has all changed due to tiredness. However, you might find, like me, that now you're off the pill and your regular hormones kick in, however tired you are, I'm definitely still up for it in the middle of my cycle - is my body trying to tell me something?!
Diege & Moosma, how funny that your DHs are twinny-lookalikes - it's a small world.
Kay, sorry to hear about BFN, but as everyone says, it's not over yet! and sorry about your friend - glad she has turfed him out.
Ok, so we're not going to be TTC until early May and AF is not due until tomorrow, so why am I constantly wondering whether it's going to arrive, even though we've been thoroughly careful this month! Am so sad!
Not sure any of you are around, as last post a few hours ago, but given lots of you are up north, can anyone recommend a good hotel/motel/B&B near the M6 about halfway from down south and Edinburgh? We're off up to Edinburgh end of May and are going to split the journey overnight, so any recommendations welcomed.
Right, should go and spend some time with DH while DS is still napping.
Here's hoping I can catch up next time I'm on!

Diege · 01/03/2008 15:47

Hi Star! I think we are all the same waiting for af, even though most of us on here haven't started ttc yet .
Re: a hotel recommendation, would this be around the Manchester area?? TBH, coming from the North the hotels I tend to use (for work) are in London or Cardiff. I'd stick with a chain if I were you (The Village is good, not sure if you have them down South??). Edinburgh is a wonderful city, have you been before?

Starshinetiger · 01/03/2008 16:32

Thanks Diege. We used to live in Edinburgh, so we're heading back up to visit friends for a long weekend - before DS we would have just driven up after work in one go, arriving late, but don't think that's really fair on him, so we're splitting journey. Right, meant to be finding DS' slippers - best go!

Diege · 01/03/2008 18:47

Only 15 minutes to go until GB's song for Eurovision!! That'll be where everyone is!! Speak later, diege xxx

calsworld · 01/03/2008 18:54

Starshinetiger...whereabouts do you think you'll be wanting to break? I think that the journey gets quicker the further north you get (it makes sense to me ) so where do you think you will want to break?

Its about 3hrs from Southampton to midlands and about 3-4 from Midlands to Edinburgh...there's a hotel at about junction 17 of the M6 that was quite nice...not sure on price...hang on, will see if I can find it...

Starshinetiger · 01/03/2008 19:11

HaHa Diege, glad to see someone is going to be watching it.
Cal, thanks. We're in Reading, so we'll probably aim to stop somewhere between say junctions for Liverpool/Manchester and Gretna. No worries about finding it tonight, I'm off downstairs for some quality time with DH - not sure Song for Europe's going to get a look in Diege !

calsworld · 01/03/2008 19:34

Ummm I think the one I'm thinking of is the holiday inn and costs £40 per adult, per room, so would be £80. Seems quite expensive though. Its 4 star which will explain why I thought it was nice though.

Now, onto this eurovision twoddle....I love it, really I do, but what's with this show format where they pair competitors up then knock one of them out - they did this before and they always put two crap people and two good people against each other, so the outcome is inevitable...and who chose these people anyway?

In the times before DS, DH and I have a wide group of friends and we'd all pile round to the eurovision party hosts house, put pound into the pot and pick out a country, you have to wear fancy dress to represent the country and the country that ranks highest on the night wins the pot - and hosts the next party. There have been some right dodgy outfits over the years! And you've got to love Terry!

Am a detecting a fellow Eurovision fan here then Cal? . I totally agree on the crap formatting of the judging - having said that I don't think there's one good song amongst the lot of them this year! Maybe Michelle Gayle (sp?) but she did look like she was trying a little too hard! Worth it just for John Barrowman though [swoon].
Will avidly tune in for results show [yawn].
Happy Mother's Day for tomorrow everyone!!! And for mummies to be, this time next year you may well have a LO, or one on the way

MoosMa · 01/03/2008 22:28

Just caught a bit of the Aurovision thing, the bloke who went through was AWFUL, so dull (and ugly too!), I thought the Michelle Gayle one was terrible too but in a wonderfully camp, tacky, Eurovision-winning way!

kayzisbroody · 02/03/2008 09:19

Morning,
I went out last night and no one really noticed that I wasn't drinking, I had 1 drink and cola for the rest of the night.

I feel like poo this morning, stomach is on a rollercoaster and I'm exhausted.

Diege · 02/03/2008 10:29

Morning!! . Aww Kay, get yourself back to bed for some pampering! Not long till test day now .
Moosma, agree, don't think Andy has much of a chance at Eurovision, though having said that Michelle Gayle has had her days of fame and fortune, so pleased in a way that an ex-X-factor bloke gets a crack of the whip? (though Euro is very much the kiss of death!).
Well mother's day started with dd1 being sick, and things have only just calmed down now! Hope everyone is having a good Sunday

lardylumps · 02/03/2008 11:54

I had no lie in this morning and no gift . And to top it all dp has man flu so had no gof last night. And if i know him at all it will last at least 2 weeks.... I was even walking arond with no clothes on last night and he didn't bat an eyelid.... So i am not holding out much hope of getting pg this month and all in one.

Diege · 02/03/2008 13:12

for you LL. That damn man-flu , bet dp recovers in a day or two if there's a GOF up for offer!
Very quiet here, although we have just had the very good news that our offer on the house we want has been accepted. Yahhh!!!! . 5 beds and garden, so great for LOs .
Speak later, xxx

lardylumps · 02/03/2008 13:25

Thats great Diege, at last something has made me smile today....
