Here we are ladies!

OP posts:
Starshinetiger · 02/03/2008 13:55

for you LL.
for you Diege - that's fantastic news.

lardylumps · 02/03/2008 16:03

Right ladies i am off hope you all had a lovely day and I will check in tomorrow.

calsworld · 02/03/2008 16:24

Kay, well dodged last night, rest up today...

LL, maybe some scanty undies would do the trick?

Have to confess that in a moment of weakness I used up my second test stick this morning only to get another BFN. Stupid stupid stupid...

So I'll not be testing tomorrow morning and from the way my belly is feeling, maybe AF is on the way...lots of tummy ache and a bit of back ache too.

Aside from all that, I'm having a nice day, DS had a long nap from 9.15 to 10.45 so we all went back to bed, and he's had another 40 mins or so on my tum this afternoon, another good excuse for a feet up and a snooze. DH in the meantime, has cooked an enormous roast dinner and now I'm stuffed.

Enjoy your Sunday, and I'll check in tomorrow to see how you get on Kay, good luck!

X

kayzisbroody · 02/03/2008 19:11

Sorry Cal about another BFN.

We've been at my mum's today as she wouldn't let us leave this morning. She also cooked dinner which was quite annoying as she wouldn't let anyone else cook.

My brother got a real strop because he was asked to stack the dishwasher and do a little washing up along with my dh. So my mum got a bit upset. Stupid little brothers.

Hope you all had great days!!

Talk to you tomorrow with another BFN I expect.

Diege · 02/03/2008 20:00

Thanks Star and LL . Fingers crossed the 'chain' will run relatively smoothly!!!
Cal, I think I would have done the same and tested. Just having the damn things in the house is just too tempting sometimes. It's your first month of trying though?? So, regardless of outcome we will keep your spirits up until you geta BFP, and beyond! .
You too Kay!!! Sounds like you had quite a stressful day there!! Don't blame your mum for getting a bit upset at your brother, I think I would have been very . Know what you mean about mums/MIL who don't let anyone else cook - can be really annoying..
Well I'm a bit as the flowers and perfume I sent for my mum through the Next have only just been delivered . Rang up when they hadn;t arrived by 5.30, to be told they were delivering up to 10pm . Now I may be being unreasonable here, but surely the whole joy of receiving surprise flowers on Mother's Day is diluted a bit when you answer the door in your dressing gown to receive them?? . And that's all for the bargain 'on a Sunday' delivery charge of £7 . Won't be using them again!!

Diege · 02/03/2008 20:02

Through Next, not 'the Next' . My pet hate that ('the Asda', etc...)..

kayzisbroody · 02/03/2008 20:08

I hope you do get the house and everything goes smoothly.

Im not blaming mum, just very annoyed with my brother. He moans every single day about having to do it I just thought he would do it today of all days without moaning.

My sil ordered Purple Orchids for mil and she was sent roses and my mum ordered a pink rose plant for my nan and my nan got a red plant. Seems everyone is mixing things up.

Diege · 02/03/2008 21:53

Don't blame you for being annoyed with your brother Kay . Hope you had a few sharp words?
Good luck for tomorrow's test, but don't be too disappointed either as it is such early days!! I've just got dh to cough up for some supplements - the Zita West ones (for women and men)for preconception . Now of course will have the whole rigmarole of taking them 3 times a day . Hard enough to remember once a day! Exciting though that he's taking it seriously! Think the propspect of having a bigger house has helped a lot with dh's 'fears' .
Risked it without 'pulling it out' tonight, even though it's day 14 . I am convinced I ovulated early last week (lots of EWM) and nothing now, so we'll see how accurate my 'natural' method is by when af turns up! And it better had, as I'm not having another Nov birthday!! (would make 3 Nov, one July ).
Heading up the stairs now as have had a knackering mother's day - just a constant slog of domestic tasks. Oh bum have just remembered ironing [sigh]

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 06:34

Morning All,

I got a BFN which was expected. I'm just to impatient to wait. Anyway its not over until the fat AF lady sings so I'll just wait.

Diege, I did have words but they just go over his head. My mum cooks him something different to what they are having nearly everyday as he wont eat anything spicy or any vegetables and he still moans about doing stuff.

Oooh Diege what if???

calsworld · 03/03/2008 07:58

Kay, sorry for BFN - when is/was AF due? I'm now 5 days past so am convincing myself that the tests are wrong. I'm 5 days late today and no signs of AF. I was having really bad cramps last night but have had very poorly tummy this morning. Not attractive.

Also, I have family members that sound a bit like your brother - I'm naturally quite a generous person which makes the contrast even more frustrating.

Diege, sorry, missed your post about the offer being accepted - that's sooo exciting! Hope it all goes well. And wow! 5 beds, sounds fab!

about the late delivery for your mum, that's amazingly terrible. I understand that they probably were very busy but even so, there's an expectation.

LL - any joy with DH this weekend? How is he doing?

Moosma - yes agree about Michelle Gayle - seriously impressive amount of shimmying, only worthy of a Eurovision entry! Can't believe it didn't win.

Need to ask, what tests do you guys use? Is there a more sensitive test than C Blue that I could use?

calsworld · 03/03/2008 08:00

Spot the continuity break! Had to mad dash to the loo . If I am pg is this going to be a problem? Still having tummy cramps...

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 08:02

My AF isnt due til Friday but I'm just such an impatient person I had to test early.

I've been using the boots digital ones but I dont know how sensitive they are.

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 08:03

lol, Cal I have been needing the loo more since I OV'd but knowing me I'm imagining it.

Teuch · 03/03/2008 08:06

Morning girls - have house guests so only managnig to scan thread and not much posting!!

Sorry for BFN's but is early days yet. Cal - I don't think Clearblue is the most sestitive at all...I seem to remember reading that first response was better. I will see if I can find a link.

Great news Deige - good luck and hope it goes smoothly (and woohoo to your dangerous living with the unprotected sex ).

I am only on about day 5 or something, so boring, boring, boring!!

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 08:11

Morning Teuch.

I think my house is haunted. I have just put the lid from ds's cup on his toy box and I went into the kitchen. When I came back it was on the other side of the room.

I am freaked out now.

Teuch · 03/03/2008 08:11

[[http://www.peeonastick.com/hpts.html here]

The lower the number, the more sensitive the test. First Response looks most sensitive right enough.

I got clear positives the day I was due period with FR.

Teuch · 03/03/2008 08:12

hate when I do that

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 08:22

I might go and buy a first response test today.

I wish I wasn't so impatient, I just want to test every day at least twice.

NatalieJane · 03/03/2008 09:28

Good morning (Saturday night, none yesterday we had chinese delivered and were too bloated to move let alone have sex! )

Hope everyone had lovely a Mother's day. I got a lovely home made card from DS1 and a card from DS2, a huge great big bunch of flowers (though I did tell him off for spending that much money on flowers that will be dead in a week!) I got a bottle of Bailies, a mug with 'Yummy Mummy' written on it I blardy wish!! A lovely long lie in, and generally no dog's bodying!

The catch up in order of posts:

Diege, (and other Eurovision watchers) I am afraid it goes right over my head, although if we had a party to go to like the ones described on here, I think we'd love it, just for the atmosphere etc. Hope DD is feeling better, bad start to Mother's Day Congrats on the house! 5 beds Fingers crossed the chain goes well, any idea when you'll be in? Tut tut tut at your failure to 'pull it out' Will keep fingers crossed...! Agree with Cal about there being certain expections of delivery times, at them delivering till 10pm!

Diege and Moosma, 'tis a bit spooky about your DH's! We need photographic evidence Diege!

Tiger, can't help with the hotel I'm afraid, when ever we use a hotel it is down south.

Kay, good going on the avoiding the alcohol on Saturday without being rumbled! for you about your brother, I have a sister who is almost exactly the same, except she is nearly 30 and has 3 kids, who I think know my mum better than they do her Sorry about today's BFN, not going to repeat what I said last time, you know it all!! Finger's crossed it will be BFP the next time

LL, hope DH is feeling a bit better (for your sake!!! ) And if not, I hope you got to do something nice yesterday.

Cal sorry about the BFN You are five days late now? Tests are deffo wrong!!! I am sure that BFP is just a few hours away

Phew... is that everything?! I was only away for a day!!

OK, CD29 expecting period tomorrow, did have unprotected sex a fair few times, but none too close to OV, so why am I sat here torturing myself with what if's? Farking hate TTC'ing, and I've not even started yet!!! LOL Someone hit me over the head with a frying pan please....

Playingthewaitinggame · 03/03/2008 09:42

Morning all, seems like we have all hada busy weekend! Hope everyone enjoyed Mothers day, I got all excited when I realised next mothers day I should hopefully have a bump so will nearly be able to celebrate it!

Bad luck on all the BFN's, keep the faith though, still time for a BFP.

Deige, good luck on th ehouse front, its such a dodgy time in the housing market, I really hope it all goes through for you!

Never really been into the Eurovision thing but did go to a Eurovision part last year. Must admit it was fun, we all had to bring some food from a Eurovision county. I went all patriotic and brought mini toad in the holes with red onion relish.

Cant recommend any good hotels on the way to Edinburgh. When we wetn in Jan we just drove all the way (from Hampshire), 6 1/2 hours there, 7 1/2 hrs back, not too bad.

I know what you mean about all ttc pressure even when your not doing it. I havent had any EWCM yet this month (CD20) so am starting to stress a little about that and I am not ttc!!! Whats wrong with me!

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 09:44

Hello Nat,

I have just been and bought a First Response test and it says you can test any time of day and I so want to test now. God Im a muppet!!!

NatalieJane · 03/03/2008 09:47

Kay, if you can handle another BFN (knowing it doesn't mean anything yet) go do it now!!!!!!!

I will wait here till you've done it

calsworld · 03/03/2008 09:49

Incoming TMI but could do with sympathy / reassurance....

my tummy hurts - when i said about dashing to the loo, it wasn't for a pee . I had bad tummy ache last night and had terrible runs this morning.

What's going on?

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 09:51

I dont need the loo so I cant do it now.

Cal, you might just gave a tummybug/ache.

NatalieJane · 03/03/2008 09:52

Cal there is an awful tummy bug going round at the moment, it seems most are just being sick with it, but others are having it erm.... coming out of the other end, and from what my sister described as gracefully as she could manage, it isn't nice!

I hope you are feeling better soon, it seems the ones getting it out of the other end are laid up for about 12 hours, the sickness is lasting 24.
