Letrozole first cycle

Hi ladies,

I’m due to start taking letrozole next cycle for the first time, just waiting for my period to start. I’ve got some spotting so reckon it will be in the next couple of days.

I wanted to see if anyone else is at a similar stage and wants to join me on the journey? Or if you’re already taking it I’d love to hear your experiences!

I’ve been reading all about the side effects so I’m a little anxious, but generally just excited to give it a try! My cycles are very irregular, and although I always get a peak OPK recently this hasn’t happened until around CD32, so I have a lot of waiting to do! Really hope the letrozole speeds things up 🤞

I've started Northisterone to induce my cycle today after not responding to Letrozole on my first cycle - fingers crossed 5mg dose will do the trick this time

Just updating to say I had my scan during the week. To recap I had 3 mature follicles & had a trigger & am on progesterone injections twice daily. It was my second month on letrozole. One lovely little baby with a strong heartbeat - to be honest we are so happy it wasn’t twins!! We are just delighted to be at this stage as we thought it would never happen!

@Lovemusic2015 congratulations! Such lovely news, and great that Letrozole is working for people on here.
I have now formally missed my period, and have a solid dark positive line on my pregnancy test so starting to allow myself to feel hopeful. I have my scan on the 16th, also hoping for just one (I had two follicles) but tbh, whether it’s 1 or 2 I’ll just be delighted whatever we have as it’s been a difficult year getting to this stage.

im back on my first cycle of letrozole since losing our baby. Got my period back, finally, after 9.5 weeks, and have taken the 3rd dose of letrozole. Fingers crossed for this cycle x

I had one mature follicle this time on cd11 and I received my trigger shot. Hoping for the best...

So I think the first cycle was a fail for me. The drug did it's job and I ovulated but didn't conceive..

I hope you all have better news.

My first month I produced 2 good looking follicles, but did not get pregnant. The second month I took the same dose of medication and produced 1 good follicle. I am happy to report that I am pregnant! I have PCOS and am very pleased with the outcome - https://onlinecheappills.com/letrozole.html

Has anyone noticed Letrozole delayed their period? I'm late by a day. Had tested a few days back and it was negative, pretty sure I'm not pregnant. Wonder if it has delayed my cycle..

@ceruleansky I guess it can mess with your cycle. But I would test again if I were you..

Hey everyone,

I’m 14dpo on my second round. I haven’t yet tested as clinic said to test day after missed period! No sign of AF, will test tomorrow morning!

I had very light pink bleeding for a few mornings around 7/8 DPO when I woke up (then literally no bleeding throughout the day!)

My BBT has risen and has stayed high (my baseline is 36 degrees and I’ve gone up to around 36.8 and stayed there!)

Fingers crossed I get my BFP when I test tomorrow!

I am very impressed with how disciplined / patient you are not to test by now, haha! I was testing from like 7DPO, got my first faint line at 10DPO.
Did you have a trigger shot? As they do say to wait if you have as it can leave HCG traces in your system.

@AnnieStar12 haha, I’m so petrified of seeing another negative I’ve just not wanted to test haha! Going to buy a test this afternoon and then test tomorrow morning!

I have just started to see a bit of yellow/creamy CM so not sure if AF is coming, boo.

if it’s not TMI, do you mind me asking how you CM has been since your BFP?

I went for follicle tracking scan on Tuesday CD12 after taking 5mg Letrozole - yet again no response.
Going to increase the dose again next cycle to 7.5mg, hoping that will do the trick!
Anyone else found they needed higher doses?

OH MY!!! I got my BFP!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn’t resist and tested this afternoon!!

@Daisywillow17 whoa!! I had a feeling from your last message that was gonna happen. Exciting news :) congratulations!

I’m 7 weeks tomorrow and my clinic have me booked in for a scan to check there’s a heartbeat. I’m so nervous!

And to answer your question yes I’ve had low-level but constant CM everyday since the start. Don’t have many other pregnancy symptoms otherwise though.

I was sure the drug delayed AF but I tested and got a positive I think!!

But yes, after failed clomid cycles, Letrozole seems to have done the trick!!
