Well, girls, disappointment for me today. Temp has gone right down. Looks like PCOS is really taking the p*ss out of me. FF has removed all the exciting ovulation lines.
It was fun for a day anyway, nice being normal for a day.
Hope everyone's well today,
sparkly [[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[hug]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]] xx

Emmsy1 · 07/03/2008 11:17

ohhh fruity really thought that bloody egg had been hatched, what a load of shit, really for you at the PCOS!
dont want to even write this but have to anyway, sometimes you have a dip in your temp when implantation takes place, really dont want to give you any false hopes, but you still have to be aware of it, sorry if its not though fruitsXXX

Emmsy not sure if you saw in waiting room but AF started last night. I'm ok apart from period pain and a v clotty AF!!
I think I ov on day 18/19 so luteal phase has been 12/13 days. OPK+ on Thurs 21st.
Thinking about temping!
Big hugs back FL XXXXX

xxhunnyxx · 07/03/2008 19:00

Thanks emmsy I'm now on CD28 and did a clear blue digital this morning but another BFN so it looks like this month just isn't my month . Still no af tho so i'm trying to keep a little bit of hope, but I think she is on her way

Emmsy1 · 07/03/2008 19:05

xxhunnyxx when did you ovulate, how long is your luteal phase (the time from when you ovulate until af due??)just trying to sus out your cycle X

Emmsy1 · 07/03/2008 19:47

sparkly sorry hun, I posted my message before I went into the main waiting room,a I have been back tracking your cycle to part 4 of the TTC thread, trying to build a picture of your cycle, its really hard because you had loads of spotting so cant really sus out when your AF actually started, you may have actually 'O' earlier than cd18 or 19 cos Im certain spotting is not supposed to be counted as cd1 (sure you need proper days bloodflow??) anyway we need to get it right in the next few cycles so we can get you a positive asap, have you ordered your thermometer yet? if you get one, join the temping thread or post your daily temps on here along with mucus observation and opk results and I will do my best to help you(thats if you want it anyway)You will get to know the way your body works, its really amazing just need a bit of enthusiasm for sticking the thermometer in your mouth (or vagina if thats what you want!)each morning before you get out of bed, I have done it for 18 months, what a saddo, its great not to have to do it anymore! I have had 3 positives in the last 12 months so I really do recommend it! have a think, and quickly stock up on ebay opks and a babymad thermometer, you can download charts or make your own on graph paper(thats what I did)tell me to mind my own business if you want, I wont be offended, XXXX

Thanks for the implantation advise Emmsy I think I would be seriously clutching at straws if I was to begin thinking about that though. Not sure how long after ovulation implantation starts but I would have only been 4dpo today. It was exciting for a day and made me feel so good (if just for a day) I'm just gonna have to accept that PCOS has taken me over and that's that. The big family I've wanted since I can remember most probably wont happen. I've got one very healthy ds so should be bloody grateful I've been given the opportunity to be a mother at all.
sorry, not very upbeat I'm afraid. I think I need some chocolate

cricri · 07/03/2008 20:52

Hi Emmsy Sorry to hear ms is getting you down. Are you actually being physically sick or only feeling nauseous? I still haven't got any symptoms but by my dates I'm 5+0 tomorrow so it's still early days. I've had pain low down in my groin area too, although from lurking on the due in Nov thread, others have had it too. I'm torn between going to join the AN thread or waiting til I have my first scan like you. Dr can't refer me for an early NHS scan so am going to have to go private. She advised to wait until 8 weeks, so will book one for 3 weeks' time.
Sparklymummy sorry to hear this wasn't your month - had my fingers crossed for you. Good luck with the temping.
xxhunnyxx fingers crossed BFP may still happen for you.
FL Sorry you're feeling so down. (((hugs))) to you.
Hello to everyone else.

xxhunnyxx · 07/03/2008 22:31

emmsy I'm not temping or using ovulation tests at the mo, it's relatively early days for us and we know that we're both fertile so we just want to see how we go on our own for now. Plus as DP has to work away quite a bit at the mo it would drive me mad if I knew that I was ovulating whilst he wasn't here.
My cycle was 24 days for the last few months and then last month was 28, but it has been known to be as long as about 34. I keep a check on my CM and can usally tell by that when I am ovulating but I didn't notice much change this month which is making me wonder if I even ovulated at all this month.
Ah well I suppose I will know for certain in the next day or 2. I'm trying to seduce my DP in to a bit BD'ing tonight as I feel it could spur AF to turn up, and as much as I don't want it to actually turn up I just want to know one way or the other now.

xxhunnyxx · 07/03/2008 23:27

EMMSY forgot to mention that I started with AF type cramps about 4 days ago (approx 10dp when i think i ov'd) so I'm hoping that this was maybe late implantation. I remember last time I was pg I felt like AF was about to turn up early. Fingers crossed that it was late implantation which is going to lead to a late BFP x

Emmsy1 · 08/03/2008 06:11

hunnyI can see were your coming from, it used to get me down if DH was on lates or nights when I was ovulating, still a chance for you this month so fingers crossed remember you could be 'O' very early approx cd 9 or 10, I nearly missed my chance this month, I was fortunate to spot EW on CD6 after a bowel motion then 'O' on cd9 I got a +opk on cd8 so we b/d on the evening of cd8 and early morning on cd9, my temp rose on cd10 indicating that 'O' took
place on cd9! I could have easily missed that EW cos dont usually 'O' that early, then I wouldn't have testes with the opk and definately wouldn't have b/d so keep a good eye out when you pass a motion,it can be missed!(sorry for going on a bit!)

cricri I took my last sanatogen vit tab on tuesday night, and although I still get nausea (not actual throwing up!)I am not half as bad now, def wont be taking thoes tabs again! I tend to be getting a few more upset tummys now, keep thinking I need to go the the loo to feel better, but cant go to the loo IYSWIM! Glad you told me about the other girls getting pains, it makes me feel better! dont like to be the only one How much will it cost for a private scan? and how do you go about it? you stay here as long as you like when your feeling ready to join the antenatal thread Im sure they will make you feel welcome X

fruity really wish I could help you hunX

fym · 08/03/2008 07:48

emmsy - how are you doing? are you having an early scan?

fruitloop79 · 08/03/2008 09:37

virtual choc for you all to share don't eat it all at once!

fruitloop79 · 08/03/2008 09:39

A little brighter today, so I was sooooo damn miserable
FF has returned my ovulation lines as my temp went up again but this time I promise not to get over excited!

fruitloop79 · 08/03/2008 09:39

I meant "Sorry I was so damn miserable"

scully · 08/03/2008 09:55

Also thinking about an early scan, or at least more regular blood tests, so any problem can be detected earlier than at 12wks, which is what happened last time. Also had a few twinges here and there and am just very tired today, dd2 had better sleep through tonight

SparklyMummy · 08/03/2008 10:44

Emmsy Ta for the advice. I really appreciate it. I've been tracking my cycles for about 7 months now and this is what has happened.

AF July 30th - 33 day cycle.
AF 1st September - 31 day cycle.
AF 2nd October - 34 days
AF 5th November - 31 days
AF 6th December - 31 days
AF 6th January - 29 days - (pre AF spotting on CD28 no bleeding until CD29) OPK+ CD17 so guess I OV on CD18/19 - luteal phase 12/13 days
AF 4th Feb - 32 days (pre AF spotting for 12 hrs)

So, for the first time in the last 2 months I have had pre-AF spotting and feel my bleeding has changed. Last month was very heavy for a day and continued for nearly 7 days (usually bleed for 5 days) and then this month my period doesn't seem massively heavy but is very clotty. Not sure what is going on really but think temping will help.

fruitloop79 · 08/03/2008 10:51

sparkly I missed your MSN!

You must temp with me!!!!!!

xxhunnyxx · 08/03/2008 13:42

AF is on her way, so I'm now feeling very sorry for myself
I know I shouldn't think things like this but I'm now starting to wonder whether I'll ever conceive again and thinkin this is maybe punishment for hoping to miscarry last time I was pregnant. I know it sounds awful but my bf (now ex bf) really didn't want it and was trying to talk me in to having an abortion but I didn't want to, but I just wanted the problem to disapear and kinda hoped to miscarry, and that's what ended up happening (prob the stress of it all).
I know it might sound rediculous and I'm obviously just very hormonal and feeling very sorry for myself
And where's DP when all this is goin on? Watching bloody football! Men!!!!

SparklyMummy · 08/03/2008 14:43

FL I'm back and you're gone.
Hunny I wonder whether i'll ever be able to concieve again too...it's a real emotional rollercoaster. Don't punish yourself for the miscarriage. It will happen again - I guess that it just wasn't meant to be before. Tey to be positive and looking forward. Lots of baby dust ** for next cycle - this cycle isn't even over for you yet!

Emmsy1 · 08/03/2008 15:27

hunny sorry that AF is on her way. sorry your feeling so low, stop blaming yourself for your last miscarriage, it doesn,t matter what you were thinking at the time, these things happen and you cant go through life blaming yourself at every opportunity, that pregnancy was going to end in miscarriage whether you wished it or not.
You will get pregnant again just got to get the timing right, keep your chin up hun and over indulge in all the things you enjoy that your not allowed to have when you do get your BFP XX

fruity thanks for the chocolate, it was scrumlicious! dont know what's going on with your temps though!

fym my scan isn't until 31st march, cant really afford to go private, and wasnt allowed to be seen any earlier! just hope I can make it to 31st march!

sparkly I have had a look at your cycles and without your temps you still can't pinpoint when 'O' occured. Your last cycle that you got your +opk gave an indication that you were about to 'O' or you may have already 'O' but without that temp rise you just cant be certain. Have you ordered your thermometer yet?? get your chart ready for when the thermometer arrives so you can start the morning after, although your not expecting to 'O' until the middle of your cycle keep checking for any EW every time you pass a motion (sorry lurkers for the tmi)
just incase your body does an "Emmsy" on you and you 'O' very early, if no EW then start your OPK's on CD11 at approx 2.00pmish if you have the time and your using ebay opks its best to test twice (9.00pm) remember your OPK's will give you a faint line just at the onset of the LH surge and also at the end of the LH surge so in effect it could read as 3x +++ when you get a proper dark + then B/D that same night and if possible the next morning, you should hopefully catch the egg then (wont harm to add additional b/d in after this if you want to Your temp will go up the 'day after' you ovulate and should remain elevated until AF or Baby arrives! If you dont get it right the first month at least you will have evidence that you have definately ovulated, also handy to take to docs with if you need to go in the future for help or advice! sorry its so long hun, remember this is just my advice from my last BFP XXX

OP posts:
SparklyMummy · 08/03/2008 16:47

Thanks Emmsy. Need to have a look for thermometer. Where is the best place to get it from? XXXX

xxhunnyxx · 08/03/2008 17:01

Thanks SM and emmsy I'm going out with the girlies tonight n gonna get pretty legless so hopefully that will chear me up, hoping it doesn't turn me in to a weaping mess tho, everybody hates 'that' girl who is sat in a corner crying cos she can't handle her drink ha ha
Think I'm coming out of my 'feeling sorry for myself' stage, I'm now trying to look at the positves, think there's gonna be a promotion coming up at work within the next month or 2 so at least if I'm not pregnant I can concentrate on getting this promotion, then find out that I'm pregnant and then I'll be getting paid even more money whilst I'm sat at home watching tv looking after my baby.
