fruitloop79 · 15/03/2008 20:44

afternoon. Well I've admitted to the ladies over on temping, I buckled completely and tested and it was obviously a BFN.

Now I feel like shit. My temps might just as well go back to normal. I'm sure they're going to anyway. "OK PCOS you've had your fun, now stop pissing me about I give in"

Sorry girls, having seen my friends new born baby and spending time with my other friend (who's preg - and accidently [grr])I'm even more broody and p*ssed off for having such a joke of a reproductive system.

I'll snap out of it soon, dont worry

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 15/03/2008 20:52

oh dear fruity sorry about the BFN!! but you do know it could be way too early to test yet dont you?? give it til tuesday like you were planning to and see what happens then im here if you need to talk/vent/moan and im happy to listen either way xxx

Hello to one and all.

I have mentioned my brown goop on the TTC thread, but do you guys think it is ok to get some at his stage.

Oh scully I am sorry about the rubbish scan.
If it is any consolation, I always seemed to loose a week at every scan, so that mightn't be a worry.

Can't believe how happy I am that my boobs hurt!

scully · 15/03/2008 23:41

GP part of the surgery isn't open today so will have to wait until tomorrow to get any more news. The scan results were sent through electronically so will have to ring from work tomorrow, and take a walk outside
At least dh said the right thing as we were driving home from the hospital yesterday, that we still have a couple of years to keep trying. If it is another m/c I want to try straight away, didn't feel like that last time, but do this time.
I haven't given up completely, as there is a small chance things will work out, but I'm the sort of person that needs to prepare myself for the worst.
Congrats TF, wonderful news with your bfp

TF welcome hun, try not to worry about your temp, I have checked out loads of charts over the months and there are quite a lot that dip just before AF due, hopefully when that little bean burrows deeper and produces alittle more HCG it will rise again, then get your DH to hide that bloody thermometer!

FL sorry for BFN.

Hang on a cotton picking minute..... I swear FF have lowered my coverline
My 1st three temps after Ov were much lower than that yesterday. Why would they lower it? Are they cheating on my behalf?

twinklingfairy · 16/03/2008 11:03

My temp was very near the coverline today, too
I took it after getting up for DD, then climbing back into my bed with her. So I don't think it was a good reading.
Also very very bunged up, can barely breathe and throat it so sore

Also had periody type pains

So sure it is not going to stick, it has been too long coming.

But DH has told me to stop stressing and I have put the thermometer into the medicine bag, so no more temping and I am going to try to convince myself that pains are beany burrowing.

Still, feel down though. I should be over the moon.
Curses to MN for filling my head with things to worry about!

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 16/03/2008 11:36

hi ladies hope you are all well
TF stop worrying hunny what will be will be and i really think it is your turn for a sticky BFP so stop temping and relax!!
scully that goes for you too i know it is really hard to relax after what you have been told but stressing over it is not doing you or your bean any favours so get your DH to run you a lovely bath and read a trashy girly book of some sort to take your mind elsewhere fingers crossed for you tomorrow (later tonight here)
right you temping geniuses does anyone know whether low temps can be of a disadvantage to TTC?? i have had 35.81, 36.13, 35.90 and then 35.90 again today all around the same time etc i want to google it but im scared incase it says something not so good someone kick me up the bum for being a worrywart!!

My turn, *ei8 stop worrying, you silly. Of course low temps are nothing to worry about.
You are just like a polar bear, cold hands, warm heart!.
Ok so that doesn't make any sense, but you know what I mean.
Your chart will make sense in the end.
Long as you get a rise eventually, for ov.

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 16/03/2008 11:53

TF i do often suffer from icey cold hands so maybe that is why i will have to keep my eye out for that telltale white fur

Morning all.
Lots of love to TF FL EI and Scully...i'm sure you're all fine lovely ladies. Keeping everything crossed for you.
Mibbles I did the same this morning. I really needed a wee and got out of bed 2 hrs before I took temp.
Emmsy Got OPK- today but am going to test twice a day. Will you have a look at my chart? I'm not understanding temping very much at the moment.

Fairy good idea to stop temping as it will just worry you. I remember reading somwhere that you should not temp for long after BFP as it becomes misleading.
Sparkly the rise you had today could be enough to signal ov but it seems very early. Unless you have super-short cycles (which from memory I don't think you do) it is probably a normal pre-ov rise. When you do get the rise you'll see a definite jump of 0.2 or more.
Ei everyone's temps have a different range, your high temps could look like my low ones for example and that is fine.
The only thing I am aware that low temps can signal is underactive thyroid. Have you had blood tested as when they do bloods they check for this. My quick google search has suggested that temps consistently below 36.2 could indicate underactive thyroid. I am obviously not an expert and the last thing I want to do is worry you but on the other hand if you are like me you'd rather know what the possibilities are and get them checked out. Maybe after a cycle of temping if temps are consistently low then go to GP and see what they say. You can get medication to fix this - the condition may prevent PG therefore it is worth getting investigated.
I also noticed that one of the symptoms is cold hands - sorry if that has worried you even more but I'm just sharing what I have read. Please don't worry too much about it, I just wanted to pass on the info I had. {{{hugs}}}} please don't be angry with me if I've worried you xx

EiWishFor3MoreEasterEggs · 16/03/2008 13:05

hi mibbes i have actually got an underactive thyroid and im on medication for this so maybe i need to see my doc about it again as i would have though my temp would be ok if im on the right dose thanks though il see if i need another blood test
does everyone like my new easter-fied name??
xx ei xx

SparklyMummy · 16/03/2008 14:13

Mibbles Thanks for looking at my chart. You're right. My cycles are 28-35 days although seem to average about 31 most of the time. I might keep posting my chart for people to keep an eye on as I don't want to miss OV and as it's my first month temping i'm not sure what i'm looking for.
EI Love the new name!!
