TTC cycle #5 - 28 years old

Hi everyone!

I'm new to this but have been reading (probably too much) about your success stories

I'm 28 and myself and my partner have been trying for 5 cycles, I'm in the TWW at the minute so keeping everything crossed that this is the month

I've definitely got it in my head that I won't be able to get pregnant even though I've had tests (hertility) done and all came back fine.

I've been off the pill for 1.5 years, I was using natural cycles and we would avoid the 'red' days, now we're actively trying I thought it would be a lot easier and quicker than it is.

Please can someone give me some reassurance and share your stories?

For context, my periods are regular, around 29-33 days and ovulation tests/bbt show I'm ovulating every month

Hi @95rose We tried for 4 months and I also assumed it would never happen. We had success after taking more supplements, and using Pre-Seed. We also got better at timing DTD using LH peaks.

This time, for baby2, we’re on cycle 8, currently in the TWW, again! Stay positive, there’s only about a 20% chance of conception each month, which is why it takes over a year on average. You're very young, your baby will come ✨ Sending baby dust to you!

I’m going to start BBT tracking to double check I’m actually ovulating!

Thank you for the reassurance and your lovely words🩷!! The TWW is so hard isn't it, I wish I could fast forward time! Which supplements did you take with your first baby? We both take maca root and I'm taking the seven seas pre-conception tablets!

I think I'm out this month, I've been tracking my bbt and it's just above the cover line but not going up 😞

I’m 29, have an 8 year old Daughter and we’re now trying for baby number 2. Had a MC at 7.5 weeks in March and a chemical pregnancy mid/late June.

I’ve now started Cycle 1 post chemical, CD1 today. We took the relaxed approached when we last conceived so will try the same again this month, so no testing OPKs etc, just logging DTD and symptoms on Premom xx

Sorry to hear about your MC and chemical. I too am using pre mom but purely to measure the LH tests. Do you have regular cycles now?

I'm currently 2DPO on cycle 3, hoping this is our month

I think I'm out again this month, 12dpo but I've been tracking bbt and it's dipped quite a bit today, expecting AF on Wednesday 😞

@riverlodge90 It is quite handy isn’t it! Even just to track AF to see if it’s regular or not. I was regular 28-30 days prior to the MC then it went to 35 days then after the CP went to 27 so I think it’s still regulating by the looks of it. So we’ll see what this month is like.

My AF came a couple of days ago. So back at the SMEP for us! I was taking coQ10, Pregnacare, B6, vit D. And this time I’m swapping coQ10 to ubiquinol, and B6 to the complete B complex. I’m also on seven seas now, just because they’re cheaper. But not had much luck so far, so might swap back again.

I'm on seven seas too as well as vitamin D and myo inositol (just started this month). Im due AF today but I've only just woke up so time will tell. My temp dropped for 2 days but went up a little bit this morning so don't know what this means? BBT chart attached if anyone can share some light! Forgot to test with first morning urine so will test later today!

@95rose chart looks promising! Have you tested?

I tested on a cheap amazon test for the 2nd wee of the day and BFN 🙁

@95rose exciting! Hopefully this is your month. How long have you been trying now?

I got another negative last weekend and period followed. I'm CD 6 now so waiting for ovulation window. Saw my friend and some family at the weekend. She has a new brown conceived first try, told me to "just relax" "it'll happen when it's ready", "it won't happen cos I want it too much. Kept my cool but broke down when I got home. People can be so inconsiderate 😤

@riverlodge90 oh I'm so sorry to hear that! It really is so hard to not compare to other people isn't it. Sending lots of hugs and baby dust for this month!!

I’m 30 and AF arrived today (a week early! 😩) so this will be cycle three of trying.
I know it’s not long but I’m already getting anxious that it’s not going to happen when it seems like everyone I know is posting pregnancy news!

@LilSebastianMiniHorse Of course welcome! I'm 30 in a few weeks and also trying for number 1. This will be my forth month.
Also getting anxious!
Know they say it can take up to a year, but same as you seems like everyone around me got pregnant first or second month!

@95rose yes exactly! I felt so upset but I'm slightly more over it today.
Fingers crossed it's our month and those thoughts don't matter anymore haha!

@riverlodge90 @LilSebastianMiniHorse how are you both getting on? I'm currently 5dpo ans my chart looks like this, could this be an implantation dip? I'm going away tomorrow for a 9 day all inclusive holiday so I'm worried if me taking advantage of the free beer and relaxation time will hinder anything. I am in need of a bloody holiday though!!!

I'm doing okay! Should be 2 DPO today but it won't confirm until tomorrow. Hopefully did enough!

Awh enjoy your holiday! Until you get a positive test I wouldn't worry too much about drinking on holiday. If this isn't your month you might regret not fully enjoying it.

I think, not 100% sure but implantation happens days 8-10 most likely day 9. Unless you maybe ovulated earlier?

@95rose I’m doing okay too - currently some unknown number of days past ovulation! According to the Flo app I should be 4dpo but I’m not convinced. I think I need to start tracking my temperature next cycle.

Already trying very hard not to symptom spot, even though I know it is far too early for anything 😂
