TTC cycle #5 - 28 years old

Hi everyone!

I'm new to this but have been reading (probably too much) about your success stories

I'm 28 and myself and my partner have been trying for 5 cycles, I'm in the TWW at the minute so keeping everything crossed that this is the month

I've definitely got it in my head that I won't be able to get pregnant even though I've had tests (hertility) done and all came back fine.

I've been off the pill for 1.5 years, I was using natural cycles and we would avoid the 'red' days, now we're actively trying I thought it would be a lot easier and quicker than it is.

Please can someone give me some reassurance and share your stories?

For context, my periods are regular, around 29-33 days and ovulation tests/bbt show I'm ovulating every month

@Kilminchy123 amazing sounds like you got all the right days!
I tried pregnecare last cycle and it make it 6 days longer so haven't took them this month for fear of the same thing! So the rumour of those making your cycle longer are defo true. Mine is 30 anyways so didn't need anymore days to stress haha.
Interesting about the clear blue! I might get the pink two day ones if this month dosnt work out. As I tried the purple ones this month and got 2 peak days, a low day and then another 2 peak days?! Which was totally confusing and we ended up DTD more around the first peak and only once the second as we were sick of it by that point🤣

Currently 9dpo and another negative test. I have drank quite a bit of water today and only done the test at 4 so hopefully not out just yet. AF due on Tuesday

@95rose I don't think you're out at all!
What tests have you used? I can't find FRERs anywhere 🤷🏼‍♀️

I used the cheapy tests from amazon. Going to try and leave it until Sunday then do another cheap test. Fingers crossed because I've got the cutest way to announce to my partner and I can't wait any longer!!

There is a study by fertility friend on BFN/BFP's that states 80% of women don't get a positive until 11dpo or later 😊
If you feel happy sharing, how are you thinking of announcing?
I'm hoping to do something cute too if I can hold my nerve 😂

Hi I am 31 and I got my BFP last week on the 8th cycle trying. I was really concerned and was very stressed about it, I wish I had just relaxed and trusted it would happen at the right time. Wishing you luck x

I hope so!! I know it's early but it's hard not to test when you're constantly thinking about it isn't it.

Well my idea is... I've bought a baby grow and a comforter, I was going to empty the kitchen drawer where the cutlery is and ask him to pass me a fork or something from the drawer while I'm cooking, he'll open it and see the pregnancy test with the baby grow🥹

I had all of these amazing ideas too… I wanted to wait u til Father’s Day to tell him and film it and everything then when it actually happened shock took over and I wanted him to check the line so I told him!!! I always fantasised about that moment… and I couldn’t keep my mouth shut 😂

Any news on your cycle? I'm 6DPO today. Holding out til Friday to test🤞🏼

I tested yesterday (11dpo) and had a BFN, I resisted testing today as AF is due tomorrow, and tests can get expensive!! So I'm just going to see if I come on tomorrow and then do another test Tuesday morning if not. Ahh exciting sending you lots of baby dust!!

@95rose Awh hugs! Hopefully just a dip and it covers. Don't think people understand the emotional rollercoaster each month brings!

Hey hope everyone is okay?
I've tested today at 11dpo and I'm unsure if it's intents or lines on a cheapy and FRER. Any thoughts? I feel I should have clear line by 11dpo so don't want to get any hopes up. 😒

Sorry for double posting but I've just took a LH test as ran out of pregnancy tests. Just to compare where the line should be on the blue pregnancy test. Think it looks more clear🫠

@riverlodge90 i don’t want to get your hopes up incase I’m wrong but I feel I can definitely see something on the two pregnancy tests. For 11dpo I personally would think they are fine as you could have only implanted on 9dpo for example. Maybe try again in the morning just for more clarity for yourself! I had lines very similar to yours this cycle at 9dpo and I bought clear blue ultra early digital and it came up positive. I was convinced mine were indents the line didn’t even pick up on camera or very barely . So if you could get your hands on one of them maybe they are super sensitive for digital 10miu or whatever that thing is 😃😃 xx

Didn't do any more tests as had none in the house and was awaiting some from Amazon today. However period has arrived so guess it was an intent after all, my temp dropped today so kind of knew it wasn't meant to be.

Sorry to hear about the arrival of AF. Same thing happened with me, I really thought last month was the one! I'm on day 3 of my cycle now so hoping for a better month 🤞🏼

@95rose thank you! I did too. It's so hard isn't it and feels lonely. I didn't tell my partner as I don't want additional stress on him, would prefer to just give him happy news.

Exciting! When are you due to ovulate?

According to my natural cycles app, I should be ovulating now, I got a clear blue smiley face on Wednesday and yesterday had some ovulation pains and a big temp spike but I've woken up to day and my bbt has dropped, what does this mean? Does it mean I haven't ovulated or may it be due to other factors?

@95rose Can you post your chart?
I get a "fallback rise" sometimes after ovulation where it goes up and then down one day before going up and staying up. If you get that, plus had positive smiley sounds like you ovulated yesterday 😊

I've attached my bbt, it went down quite a bit! Hoping for a rise tomorrow because god, ttc is exhausting!!!

@95rose make sure you add the solid smiley as a positive ovulation test! If it goes back up you've ovulated hopefully 🤞🏼
It's so stressful rarely is it a simple cycle 🤣
