Hi everyone, thought I'd try making us a second thread now the old one is done -

Tagging @Triselly @lemons44 @CR7 @Flowerlover010 @pongom @WholeZebra @TheBirdintheCave @SarahShorty - will go back to the thread and see if there's anyone else to add in, but do tag those I've missed!

@TheBirdintheCave you still have a few days to go though? Don't lose hope, it's still a maybe and you wanted a maybe xx

TheBirdintheCave · 23/07/2023 08:57

@CR7 Yeah OTD is Tuesday. I don't really see it as a maybe anymore as it doesn't seem to be progressing 😅 I feel like the line will still be there on Tuesday but my clinic don't do betas so not sure what they'll want me to do re stopping progesterone. I'll take it until told otherwise though.

CR7 · 23/07/2023 09:47

I think that sounds like a good plan. My clinic didn't either so I booked a private one. Cost me £45. As soon as I got the first result and knew it was progressing I booked the second one. Worth having a google and seeing if there's anywhere near you that offers. Xx

CR7 · 23/07/2023 09:47

@TheBirdintheCave

TheBirdintheCave · 23/07/2023 10:40

@CR7 There are but they're all between £65-£90 each. If the lines were darkening I might have paid out for peace of mind but I don't think it's worth it as it is.

CR7 · 23/07/2023 11:03

@TheBirdintheCave that's fair enough. Whatever works for you xx

RunningOnHope · 24/07/2023 07:51

Hi everyone, just checking in. BFN yesterday at 10dpt which is when I got a positive last time so pretty sure it hasn't worked. Will save the last test until Wednesday which is OTD. Sad about it - we're struggling to afford this - but two more embryos left. We move away from the area in a couple of months so we might put both in together for the third transfer.

@TheBirdintheCave sorry you're feeling like it's not progressing. If there's a line there at OTD, then report it positive and continue meds. It will only be a few weeks before you can have a scan and know for sure.

charja100 · 24/07/2023 08:11

@RunningOnHope also BFN for me this morning at 10dp5dt. Have ruled myself out at this point and see taking meds a waste of money - especially the lubion which is expensive. Will you continue meds until OTD? OTD for me is Thursday at 13dp5dt.

@TheBirdintheCave everything crossed for you this is the one and it's your time. There's just so much worry through this whole journey isn't there. Even when its good news it's hard to not have doubt it seems. Stay strong

TheBirdintheCave · 24/07/2023 08:29

@RunningOnHope @charja100 I'm so sorry to hear you got a BFN 😥 IVF is a really hard ride. A lot harder emotionally than I was expecting too. I really hope it's just a late implanter for you.

I'll admit at the beginning of the process I did naively just assume it would work out the first time.

I wrote to the clinic last night to ask them what they want us to do as there's no information about how they handle chemicals on their info sheet 🙄 I'll keep going with the progesterone until told otherwise those. The nausea is really getting me down though now 😥

TheBirdintheCave · 24/07/2023 08:29

*for both of you

Triselly · 24/07/2023 08:36

@TheBirdintheCave I wouldn’t give up too early, the darkness of hpt lines is notoriously unreliable in the early days - I assume that you’re using fmu but also the amount you drank the day before etc can affect the line. I’m sure you know all of that already but it definitely seems worth keeping up everything until OTD!

@RunningOnHope I am sorry to hear that - how are you doing? Again, not over until OTD but hope you your family are alright xx That’s exciting that you’re moving away soon though, is it for work? You always seem to have so much going on!

@charja100 Very sorry to hear your news - I hope you are feeling alright and are able to take a bit of time to recover. Sorry for forgetting, but do you have any frozen embryos? Xx

I hope everyone else is having a good summer! How are you feeling this week @CR7 , do you have any symptoms yet?

I’m waiting for my next cycle to begin, taking the summer to relax before we start again from the beginning. They say that having a tube removed shouldn’t impact your periods but mine have gone completely doolally, making it impossible to predict and plan any start dates 🙄 very annoying.

TheBirdintheCave · 24/07/2023 11:07

@Triselly It's definitely a chemical sadly. I did two tests yesterday one with FMU and one with SMU, both were good holds and both came out no darker than the test two days ago.

CR7 · 24/07/2023 13:22

Hey @Triselly xx I'm doing ok. No symptoms apart from palpitations which are very common apparently but I didn't have them before. Almost 16weeks now. Had a private scan on Friday and all looking ok.

Ladies on their 2WW I'm sorry it's not looking more promising for you all. I know how hard that is as ive been there before. More than once. Sending you all love xx

TheBirdintheCave · 24/07/2023 13:29

So glad your scan was good @CR7 ! 😬 You're nearly half way now!

RunningOnHope · 24/07/2023 18:09

Thanks @Triselly and @CR7. Signs of period on the way here - pink CM starting like normal. Someone said to me that a BFN is the second best result - in that obviously a baby what we hope for, but better to have a BFN from the start than a loss along the way. So holding on to that.

OP posts:
CR7 · 24/07/2023 18:14

@RunningOnHope I personally feel the same. X

Triselly · 24/07/2023 19:41

@cr7 oh wow I didn’t realise until Bird said, how are you nearly halfway already?? Where is time going? That is wonderful though xx

SarahShorty · 24/07/2023 19:51

@RunningOnHope When I had pink CM, it was implantation bleeding. I'm not trying to get your hopes up. You know your body better than anyone, so if you really think it hasn't worked, then I'm very sorry xx

RunningOnHope · 24/07/2023 19:57

Thanks @SarahShorty, I can tell it's developing into period, it's following my completely normal course of events, and it's accompanied by BFNs. It's ok.

Hi everyone, I've just been reading through all your comments. I had a FET on Friday. We did have two embryos but one didn't defrost properly and it was lost so this one is the only one. This is also our third round of IVF so feeling a bit stressed as it feels like the odds are so much against us.
My test day is a week tomorrow. I don't really feel much though. Just a bit bloated but have never had a transfer before so no idea what is normal or isn't. I think in my head I'm just convincing myself it's going to fail because I don't want to get my hopes up.

CR7 · 24/07/2023 20:06

@DopeyS welcome xx

All we have discovered over the last six months is that each of us has had different feelings and symptoms through the 2ww.

I had no symptoms during each of my many 2ww and the last one worked and felt no different.

We are all here

Triselly · 24/07/2023 20:13

Hi there @DopeyS welcome xx Glad to hear that your TWW is very nearly over - please let us know what your results are, if you feel up for it.

I think between all of us we’ve had a really broad range of experiences - it’s such a headache symptom spotting/worrying about lack of symptoms isn’t it.

DopeyS · 24/07/2023 20:25

It's so difficult not to read into things. Also imaging what will happen either way. We don't have another go at IVF and I'm not sure I could cope with it again. But I don't really know where we go from there.

Triselly · 24/07/2023 20:33

The endless internet rabbit holes one ends up falling down, just trying to find any answers. Even though you know it’s utterly redundant. Just anything for a sense of control I guess. It’s absolutely maddening.

Maybe trying to plan next steps when you’re in the depths of a cycle is a bit overwhelming, might be worth waiting until you have an answer this round. But we’re here if you need to vent xx

CR7 · 24/07/2023 20:50

@Triselly excellent advice x
