Hoping we all get BFP and sticky babies in this months cycle.

Its CD 1 for me on my 2nd cycle TTC, and it will be my first month tracking OPKs. So I need loads of tips on when to begin and how to track.

Looks like AF is trying to make an appearance! I think I'm 100% out! Looks like it’s gonna be 2024! Good luck everyone ❤️

Mauhea · 07/04/2023 11:27

I've been tracking my BBT for the last few months, @emmatcc1 :) Really interesting stuff. I tested positive for Covid on Tuesday but no symptoms so hopefully it's not messing with my temps too much. Seem pretty average for me so far though.

@Mauhea Do you track orally? How do your charts usually look like. I had a rise yesterday and it stayed up today 10dpo I had no dips only rises.

Mauhea · 07/04/2023 11:58

I do but this is the first month with a proper BBT thermometer, I was using a standard one before that. These are my temps for the year so far, all BFNs though last month looked promising for a minute!

@emmatcc1 the month I got pregnant with my daughter my temp chart had 3 very obvious stages, temp below 36.5 jn lead up to ovulation, then a dip then above 36.8 after ovulation and stayed there till I stopped testing after I got my positive.

HoneyBlossoms112 · 08/04/2023 07:58

I think I’m out again :(
Took a test yesterday at 12dpo and it was negative. Still giving myself hope as I took it mid morning after drinking a lot of water, so not ideal conditions, and it wasn’t a FRER.

It’s so frustrating because my body is giving me red herrings. My boobs are so sore, like I woke up in pain this morning lying on my front…and I’m super emotional, but I know these are also PMT symptoms. Ughhh. Just want AF to arrive now and get on with it.

Sorry that AF arrived @ShanTTC22 .

emmatcc1 · 08/04/2023 09:36

I had a temperature dip today so now just waiting on af.

TunnocksTCake · 08/04/2023 18:40

@HoneyBlossoms112 oh how funny! I've never noticed it before, I think this time it was because I was really ill and had antibiotics for a week around the first rise so it got delayed.

@Babyhopeful23 I do them when I get home from work, I've read that later in the afternoon/ early evening is a good time to do it as it takes time for the lh to show in your wee. Best of luck!

TunnocksTCake · 08/04/2023 18:41

@Mauhea you have an amazingly regular ovulation date!

Mauhea · 08/04/2023 18:58

Thanks! I wasn't sure how things would be only having one ovary but since coming off the pill my cycle seem pretty regular.

Had a temp dip today (6DPO) but I was up very VERY late last night and was dead asleep when my temping alarm went off so not sure if that would make things a bit wonky.

RegardingPersephone · 09/04/2023 10:33

6dpo today and currently camping which is taking my mind off it slightly! Will test at 8dpo I think.
Had lots of cramps and pains around the ovary and what I think is the 'pulling' feeling but could be making that up 😅 Cervix is very high and soft. Trying not to symptom spot but I definitely am.

2021lady · 09/04/2023 10:36

Hi everyone
I am currently 9dpo
Been trying for baby number 2 for over 2 years now. I don't think this cycle has worked unfortunately as I am starting with the pre period cramps. This journey is so hard 🙄

Baby dust to you all

Caths456 · 10/04/2023 12:05

Hi everyone, can anyone jush put me out of my misery and tell me the extremely faint line is an indent? I’d be around 11dpo today I think. Have had tonnes of cramps but must be pre period!

Feliciacat · 10/04/2023 13:04

@Caths456, I’m sorry but I can’t see a second line at all. At best it’s an indent line in my opinion. If in doubt, test again in a few days. Hopefully this is your year if not your month :)

RegardingPersephone · 10/04/2023 13:11

Tested at 7dpo despite saying I wouldn't 😅 obviously nothing!

Feliciacat · 10/04/2023 13:36

@RegardingPersephone Yeah, less than 5% of people test positive at 6dpo so 7dpo must be similar. I understand your eagerness though!

Babyhopeful23 · 10/04/2023 14:29

Hello! We’ve been away for the weekend, which has definitely taken my mind of TTC which has been a relief. I kept doing the OPKs to just start tracking as it’s my first month using them. Still faint lines at CD10 and registering lower than 0.14 so hopefully it happens soon. Now we are back we can start to DTD again, which thankfully isn’t a chore just yet.
Best of luck to those in the TTW I hope you get BFPs!

I'm so confused, I've had a flashy smiley face in the CB ovulation tests today which according to the instructions means I am fertile yet the strip OPKS are still saying low and .2 does seem really low- anyone had this before?!

Hi @miniworry 👋
The flashing smile is for estrogen surge (normally right before LH surge). The static smile is your peak and when you will see the strip tests rise xxx

miniworry · 11/04/2023 20:31

Thanks so much for clearing that up @Floralsandsmiles .. we are trying the SMEP and it says to BD on day 8 (which was yesterday) and then every other day until +OPK, so am I right in saying the flashy smiley doesn't account for a +OPK until it's a static smiley?

Yes that's right hun. The reason for the flashing smile is your fertile window is longer when you include the estrogen surge too. The important one is the +OPK/static smile/LH rise, ovulation is 12-24 hours after that xxx

Yellowgoldsunshine · 11/04/2023 21:26

Hi! I hope that you don't mind me joining. I am going into cycle 4 of ttc number 1. I know that four months is no time at all in terms of ttc and that I am being ridiculous but I can't help but overthink everything and I can't take my mind off ttc no matter how hard I try! I have found that work and going to exercise classes helps me a little bit but it's always at the back of my mind. I am also getting so many doubts and what if's in my head. I also keep comparing myself to others who fall quickly which is so silly and am already worrying that there might be something wrong with me, even though I haven't even been trying that long and it's normal for it to take a year! I know I am being ridiculous and I really want to forget about ttc and just try and enjoy my life. Would anyone have any advice or tips? thank you so much :)
