Hi everyone,
Thought I'd create a new thread as the TTC Oct and Nov we're so helpful to me :) There were so many BFPs in the Nov group so statistics doing their thing there will be lots of BFPS in this Dec thread too which is super exciting.

Im currently on CD3 of my 5th cycle TTC #2.

Has anyone ever used hertility? It's an at home blood test that tests hormone levels & egg count. I'm only on C2 of TTC but would be quite interesting to see levels etc if I don't fall this month x

AF came for me this morning but on a positive I am in such a better place emotionally than the last few cycles so I hope this mood sticks around.

@AussieMum888 great line, congratulations!! Haha, I was already thinking maybe I should start the January group as starting the thread seems to be a good omen!

@Floralsandsmiles so glad your scan results were clear! I need to repeat my blood tests but will be away this month over CD3 so think I’ll have to wait for next month.

13dpo for me and a bfn, so I’m fairly certain I’m out again this month.

You're absolutely probably right that your body doesn't even recognise anything until after implantation, I guess I just assumed things could potentially start changing straight after the egg is fertilized if it was! I stupidly feel bummed as TMI but I've never been this dry down there before... I had CM all the way through my cycle last month, all past ovulation and until af showed after my chemical at 20dpo... I just feel like this is a really bad sign and I've already written off any chance this month in my head. I've heard so many stories that people fall the month after a chemical but I'm so so doubtful that'll happen for me.

O no @AlleycatMarie why do you have to repeat CD3 bloods? Sorry to hear about your BFN. Remeber you arent out until AF arrives. Sending you hugs xxx

Hi. Looking for some advice please. I've been using the pink, clear blue digital ovulation tests. The ones that show either a circle or a smiley. Not the fancy ones that flashy smiley.

They are meant to test the two most fertile days. I had a circle on Tuesday. A smiley face Wednesday but then a circle again today. Does this mean ovulation has finished and my fertile window is over ?

I'm a bit concerned as it says will show the two most fertile days. So does this mean I have a particularly short surge?

Partner has been away this week. Back tonight but worried it's too late now.

We’ve changed hospitals - not our choice but our local one is no longer doing fertility, so we’ve had to go to the next furthest one out which is a bit of a trek. The two hospitals have different recording systems so can’t access my records, so want us to repeat all the tests again. It means I can’t ‘pop in’ to get bloods done as it’s a 2-hour round trip. I’m so frustrated with it all 😞

@Floralsandsmiles I’m exactly the same with the spotting. And my scan and tests showed no issues / consultant wasn’t able to give me any advice which I didn’t already know. Good in one way, annoying in another! Going to insist DH gets tested if we’re not lucky this month.

today is the furthest I’ve got through cycle without spotting though since I started tracking… so happy with that regardless of final outcome

@AlleycatMarie that's so frustrating! Have you tried asking the first hospital for a copy of your results? You’re entitled to that. If they say no, place a DSAR. Then just pass the results to the new hospital.

still blows my mind how hospitals can’t talk to each other, honestly.

@Peaceandloves yes I think that might mean your surge is over. Might be better to test twice a day so you have better chance of catching day 1? Some months I have quite a rapid surge and comes down again quickly. Doesn’t mean my actual window is smaller, just that the symptoms are harder to catch. I use clear blue advanced, + easyathome strips. When I think it’s near, I up my cheap sticks to a few a day to catch it.

Aww I'm sorry to hear that @Sierra26 ! So yes DH testing is next and if there is nothing wrong there, its unexplained infertility? That's so frustrating and what my bigger fear is!if there is nothing wrong, there is nothing to "fix"
Happy to hear no spotting what DPO have you got to? Because that another fear of mine, its shortening my LP!! So I'm really wanting tests to show something.. lol sorry for the ramble xxx

Yeah that would be so frustrating @Floralsandsmiles , I think if that happens it’s just a waiting game to see if it happens :( Much easier to get head round if there’s an issue to ‘fix’ and monitor.

im either 9 or 10 DPO (my various apps disagree on ov date, but I think 10), cd24. Usually I’ve had two days of tender boobs at this point, and spotting starts at 8 or 9 DPO. luteal phase has been 11 or 13 days depending on ov date. I’ve squeezed my boobs about 10 times already today to check 😂

my FRER was blazing BFN this morning though, so I’m not getting hopes up as I thought FRER picks up super early.

Aww OK, well 10DPO is great (and early for testing.. so you're not out yet, for sure). But LP being 11 or 13 days is great! I think I reached 9DPO last month and that's why I'm worried...
Wait a few days and test, you're definitely not out yet xxx

@Peaceandloves sounds like a short surge but it could still be a high reading just not as high as yesterday! Can be frustrating on the clear blues but I like the smiley faces for ease!!
id still DTD tonight as usually you ovulate 12-24 hrs later and egg might be waiting around for you tonight :)

some people suggest also, stop testing after you get a smiley and go at it like rabbits for the next 2 days
Ideally you want to do the day before the smile as well - but not always! And that can be hard to predict unless you get CM appear or know your cycles super well! Hope that helps x

@bringmearainbow woohoo! 1st April going by last months cycle... we shall see. My luteal phase is only 11/12 days so one positive is it's less to wait 🤣

Question, do you (and others) drink in the TWW? I'm not a big drinker but we're going out Saturday. I've seen online it won't make a difference but could to get others thoughts

@Angelselevenx I'm not a huge drinker but I would and do drink in the tww if I wanted one. Lol your AF is due when I think my O date is 😂 I have a 11 day LP it is nice not to wait those extra few days 🙊

Mine has stabilised this morning at 5dpo but not too worried as it happened last month too and I fell last month so 🤷‍♀️

As for the drinking - I did at 9dpo last month as I thought for some reason I was out (then got my bfp at 10dpo 🙄) I know it's absolutely not the reason for my chemical, but I did have in the back of my mind that the drinking could have contributed in some way and the guilt ate me up (stupid, I know!)
I personally haven't had a drink since the first day of af last month as I'm a super anxious person and I know if I did get pregnant again I'd worry about things. But I know a lot of people who "drink till it's pink" and their babies are obviously fine. I also drank A LOT before I knew I was pregnant with my daughter (wasn't trying so had no clue) so I'm sure one night won't do any harm at all! Personal preference I guess :) x

@bringmearainbow no me neither! I literally never drink and we've had this planned for so long, plus if it doesn't happen this month I don't wanna be putting my life on hold if that makes sense?

Ooh no way really! Eeeek we will both be counting down to that day. Ah you've got an 11 LP as well? I've not met anyone else on here with the same, everyone I seen normally has 13+ so that's good to know 🤞🏼

@HannahLouD I was shocked, I wasn't expecting it to be honest so I took my temp twice and they were both the same! What's your temp looking like? Ideally you'll be looking for a big dip soon? 🤞🏼

I know exactly what you mean, I'd have been exactly the same. I guess it's only the one day of drinking and I'd only be 4DPO so implantation wouldn't have even taken place yet x

@Angelselevenx It's looking ok... Still raised and has been for 5 days so at least I know I've ovulated! I've never actually had a temp dip! Not even last month when I got my bfp... I don't think everyone has one 🤷🏻‍♀️ or maybe I'm just weird aha.

Yeah, one day that early on will absolutely not do any harm! Can't not have fun and enjoy yourself because of what ifs and just incases. I'm only not now because it's been nearly a month since I last had one so might as well hold out now until I either get a bfp or af arrives! 😅
