Hi everyone,
Thought I'd create a new thread as the TTC Oct and Nov we're so helpful to me :) There were so many BFPs in the Nov group so statistics doing their thing there will be lots of BFPS in this Dec thread too which is super exciting.

Im currently on CD3 of my 5th cycle TTC #2.

@Floralsandsmiles I’m glad the scan went well and they didn’t find anything! I was relieved that mine was clear, but also felt like I still didn’t have answers?

Yes! @AlleycatMarie , I feel I know nothing as would they say if there was issues or wait until doctor analysing and then call me? He just said all good? I felt more frustrated than anything! Xxx

@Floralsandsmiles I think if they saw anything of concern then they wouldn’t have told you anything. So think it’s a good sign!

Hmm it all gets more confusing, opks we're back down to barely nothing again last night and this morning and CB digi still hasn't given me a peak. Would it keep flashing if I had missed it or go straight to blank circle? I guess I'll have to keep testing, maybe it is delayed after all and that was a false start?

Do you usually get a clear peak with the lines? I personally wouldn't say that was a peak.

Pre mom also has had some issues getting ratio right recently.

I agree @TunnocksTCake! Keep testing x2 OPK a day, your peak is on its way! Xxx

@Un7breakable oh I agree, Premom made it my peak this morning after they went back down. I usually actually have a very very quick peak so I have missed it in the past and seen a result like yesterdays 0.8 and then confirmed o with BBT after so that's a possibility. Temp still down today though. I always go in and edit the pre mom ratios they are always wayyy off 🙄

Just reading back... @Floralsandsmiles I can't believe you still haven't had af yet 😫 how frustrating! Glad you had a scan and nothing untoward was found, what are your next steps? I guess there's no harm getting on the waitlist for ivf, or would they do medicated cycles first?

Aww I know @TunnocksTCake ! I have blood work to be taken and then see if there is anything medication can help with maybe. I wouldn't be entitled to NHS IVf, so would have to save for private.. 😒 how are you honey? Xxx

@TunnocksTCake thats confusing. I don’t always get super strong peak on e@h tests as really depends on timing and strength of wee! And I tend to ignore their ratios and just use my own judgement. Did you test on 13&14, is it possible you missed it then, and the day 15 test is it coming back down? Did you do a CBAD on PM of day 14?

I suppose if you’re temping too though you would have caught it then...

I think the CBAD will keep flashing until estrogen drops, if it isn’t switched off by a static first.

@Floralsandsmiles ah I see, hopefully some medicated cycles will help you, or even better you conceive while you're waiting, that seems to be so common. On the plus side I've heard private waitlists for ivf can be really short so you can get moving quickly once you have the funds.
I'm fine thanks, just a bit confused what's going on but time will tell!

@Sierra26 that's what I'm concerned about(that I missed it) cd 14 is the one I didn't test at all because I was so ill, cd13 it was still blank circle on the cb digital so I didn't think it would go straight to static but I guess it's possible. I was going to do an e@h that evening but went to bed with the shivers at 7!
I have got loads of EWCM today so I think my body will try to ovulate again, or it just won't happen at all which would be v v frustrating!
Looking back at past months I don't often get a clear peak with them so maybe I should change tests 😅

@TunnocksTCake I’m afraid I don’t know the answer, but I had a similar thing last month where I em never got my peak and my digi just kept on flashing away til af came. So I also would like to know if digi misses will it carry on flashing or go back to empty circle? Sorry the tests are confusing for you this month.

@Floralsandsmiles so I’ve had my fertility appointment this morning and was told I am eligible for ivf. I’m 40 and although NICE say you can have treatment, my local board stops at 39. Worried she’s got it wrong now and I’m getting my hopes up for nothing. Why are you not eligible? (if you don’t mind me asking)

@TunnocksTCake interesting, maybe it’s still to come then! I do wonder how illness affects things.

I wouldn’t give up on the E@h tests tho. I think they’re great as the cost allows me to do 3 or 4 (obsessive I know) on the days where I really want to monitor whats going on. After 5 months of using them I’ve only once had where the test line was stronger than control line, but I’m not bothered as it depends so much on timing and hold strength, and with regular testing I can see the surge easily.

@AlleycatMarie fingers crossed you’re able to push on with IVF. I had no idea the cuts offs were usually 40, I’d have naively assumed they’d go past that xx

I'm not going to lie @TunnocksTCake , I'm praying for a medical answer as to why its not working, which will mean I can get abit of help and then all of a sudden it will work! Lol if there is nothing medically wrong, I think that will devaste me more! Lol

I'm sorry to hear you are so confused with your peak! It sounds like it's coming up though? As mine was about 3 days after EWCM? XXX

I wouldn't be eligible as I have a 13 year old from a previous relationship and My DH has one too.. so they wouldn't help us unfortunately 😔 xxx

Hi everyone. Im joining this thread after getting AF today, I followed the November thread and really enjoyed reading everyone's post knowing we are all going through a similar journey. Is anyone fussed about a December baby?

@uop21 we already have birthdays this time of year so it doesn't bother me. As I am a bit older I don't want to miss a month. Also you can miss a month and then go in to labour early and catch it anyway. Just my thoughts x

Hi and welcome @uop21 . My DH tentatively asked that question re Dec birthday, as we’d both prefer not. also as we already have a Xmas trip booked and a lot of nov/dec birthdays in the family. but we decided we’ll take what we can get as we’re 34/35 and TTC for 5-6 cycles now. also makes me think given all this it will probably be this cycle we are lucky 😂 so we’ll see.

If this month is lucky I’d be due early Dec so not too bad anyway. Next cycle’s date would be more risky!

@Sierra26 thank you 😊 NICE guidelines say 1 IVF go on the nhs up to 42, but then it is actually designated by local boards and mine says 39.
I also thought about the whole December baby thing, but we’ve been trying so long I couldn’t risk not trying for a month! Keeping my fingers crossed for you xx

Feeling really emotional today
I can't believe it's taken over 2 years and we still aren't pregnant with number 2..2 people I know announced their pregnancies today so I guess I'm feeling a bit bitter

I'm in the same boat - AF came today after messing with me for a few days and coming in 4 days late! Also undecided on December baby - obviously in reality it doesn't matter but it will just be a little more different. I also was wondering what the hospital experience would be like over bank holidays/less resources etc (completely getting ahead of myself ofc !). It is my 1st time TTC so no idea about this stuff!

@smldnlove it's such a shame we didn't conceive this month but I'm glad I have someone starting the same cycle as me, do you do any tracking or are you just going with the flow?

@Sierra26 thank you for the welcome, we've been trying for a while and we've both have had fertility tests which have come back all fine which is annoying not to get any answers for why we haven't conceived. I'm at that point where I don't even care when the baby's born as long as I have a baby but I did look just for curiosity and it would be mid due mid Dec but I don't mind either way

@Tryingtoconceivenumber2 no I feel the same as you, I'm not bothered. I have seen others planning to stop TTC March/ April to avoid a Christmas baby.

@uop21 in a way I do think it would be magical to have a tiny baby for Christmas as long as it's not born Xmas day lol.

I'm tracking using easy@home sticks and premom app. Got a good strong peak this month but very quick x
