I have brought the list across, fluffed the cushions and put some nice tea to brew. I baked muffins and biscuits too, help yourselves.

ye deffo that would be nice we would have to choose somewhere in central england though as we all live so far from eachother i have met with a few girls from up here in sunny liverpool and they are all really nice i met up with one of our graduates just last week at one of these meet ups there is a section just dedicated to MN meet ups and you can also join a thread specifically for meeting girls who live near you its really good if you dont know many mums etc like me so i now have another extended group of friends as i am the only one of my friends/close family with a young child and im likely to be the only one for a while

my DH has started reading over my shoulder recently as he wants to hear the 'gossip'

SparklyMummy · 19/02/2008 21:55

I've met a lot of people through NCT and I used to love meeting with them a few times a week. There are a group of us who really clicked and now meet socially with babies for meals and drinks.
I don't mind coming across the boarder only joking!!

SparklyMummy · 19/02/2008 21:56

Hi Mr EI!

ScaryHairy · 19/02/2008 22:00

Interesting article Treats - thanks so much for posting that link. I've had acupuncture before when my periods were playing up and it did seem to help. For me (as I haven't been diagnosed with any specific fertility problem, it's just taking a while too long) I just hope that it will give me a little leg-up. Sorry to hear that AF got you , the nasty witch .

Ei - well done you for signing up for the race for life. I hate running so deeply admire anyone who willingly does it. You will lose weight though, that's for sure.

TF I totally understand your wee rant. It's really hard to be laid back about ttc; once you start trying that's it, it becomes all-consuming. Sparkly is right - the more you want it, the harder it seems to be, so I think it probably does help to do nice relaxing pampering things ...

Sparkly I reckon you haven't ovulated yet. I get at least 5 days of EWCM each cycle, so just wait. I bet you get your soon, so keep BD-ing just in case.

Sorry to anyone I've missed. Have had a lot to catch up on and not much time!

SparklyMummy · 19/02/2008 22:04

Thanks scary. I hope I do OV. I don't mind if it's already happened as we BD on Sunday so might be in with a chance. Hopefully though I will get an OPK+ over the next few days.
I'm off now lovely ladies.
Night xx

fruitloop79 · 19/02/2008 22:07

Hello Mr Sparkly and Mr ei!! Evening ladies I've just watched "the girl with 8 limbs" on C4. Such a cute little girl!
Meet up would be fab! can we still all meet up even if we don't all have our beanies? I've got visions of you lot on your next pregnancies and I'll still be waiting for this one. But still would be so lovely to meet up eventually
When my friends and I were pg last time, they all made friends with their anti-natal group at their hospital, they still are all friends. My anti-natal lot were all far too loaded and snobby for me (it was Chelsea and Westminster in Fulham - a bit la di da). They were all quite a bit older too.
You lot all seem to be oop north! I'm in saaaaf west london

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 19/02/2008 22:13

night sparkly im off myself in a sec cos i need to wash my hair as its got a bit of butty in it courtesy of DD
and TF i must have missed your post before sorry but i would just let anything your sis says go over your head as until she is in the situaton you are in she will have no idea and therefore no reasonable opinion on the matter. i was the same with the breatsfeeding advice that my sister tried to give me she is older and therefore thinks she knows better than anyone else slightly younger regardless of the fact that she has never had a baby or seen someone BF before i did so had absolutely no clue about what is actually involved. keep your chin up love it WILL happen for you soon
xx ei xx

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 19/02/2008 22:20

hi FL how are you this fine evening HCB?? BTW my MRei isnt here now hes gossiping on the fone (has been for the last hour) with his bestest mate in all the world
i had my antenatal group in the most chavtastic area of liverpool ever as they didnt have one available near my local area!! im not a chav BTW (or not as far as i think anyway) so i didnt finish the group having clicked with any of the young single mums (sorry but i am being 100% honest in case anyone thinks i am being predjudiced against the chav lifestyle im not i am sure they were all very nice 17 year old girls...)
the antenatal services arent very well spread out near me so no posh meetups for ei...
xx ei xx

fruitloop79 · 19/02/2008 22:32

hi ei I couldn't think of anything worse than a posh meet up. I like to slurp my coffee, not sip it . The nearest hospital to me now is a little chavvy . Maybe I'll stick to an MN meet up I've just checked out 'meet ups' actually and discovered there are MNers meeting up on my street at the local farm! I don't know any of em though, never spoke to them so I don't think I'll be inviting myself along.

fruitloop79 · 19/02/2008 22:37

I'm all confused actually ei I have no idea if I'm coming (scuse the pun, he he) or going with all this TTC. The sonographer seemed to think I've ov'd this cycle but I can't have done cos my appointment was 16 days ago and still no sign of AF apart from feeling very sorry for myself.

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 20/02/2008 00:35

sorry FL i got caught up on isketch
i think that maybe you have Oved and you have a long luteal phase...i dont know anything about this like im just guessing but you may be about to Ov or maybe you should do a test just in case as you never know... im off to bed now... night all

fruitloop79 · 20/02/2008 09:00

Ok girls, this is seriously TMI alert now.
Right, Just been to the loo and noticed a couple of streaks of blood in knickers. Wiped, but nothing. I don't feel at all AFy (I always know it's coming a day before cos of bloatation and rumblings). Although now I think about it, I've got a couple of new spots on my face and been feeling really miserable the last couple of days so maybe this is the start of AF! Hooray! I knew I wasn't pg cos I've been testing lots lately.
I just can't believe this could be AF at last , I wonder if I'll get to day 60 before it starts properly be nice to start on a nice round figure

JollyBear · 20/02/2008 09:42

FL How's your temp? It should have dropped if AF was on her way. Mine dropped on the day I started spotting but it was still in my high range - the day AF arrived it dropped right down.

sambrads · 20/02/2008 09:53

hi ya fruitloop i have been away for a few days have so much to catch up on here

hopefully it is our af then it means your cycles are getting shorter

so how are you???

fruitloop79 · 20/02/2008 13:43

Hi sam Very very confused actually. I think my cycles/PCOS is really trying to wind me up and drive me insane. This streaky spotting I got this morning has stopped.
JB My temp has gone up a bit this morning and I though AF was supposed to bring it down. My temp is always relatively low compared to everyone else.
It's all this cycle awareness, I just notice everything now, I probably wouldn't have given a second thought to it if I wasn't so aware of everything. I just keep thinking, What if it's implantation spotting? (hope)or ov spotting? (hope) or just pre AF spotting that I've never noticed before? It's so long between AFs that I forget what happens before! It's probably nothing and I'm just getting all worked up over nothing.

Where is everyone today? Have I scared you all away with my TMI

mibbes · 20/02/2008 14:12

FL have you tested today ? If this is not atall like usual AF arrival and temps have risen... you never know - I'd so love it to be a BFP for you but don't want to raise your hopes too much - everything is crossed for you

fruitloop79 · 20/02/2008 14:32

Nah mibbes I tested yesterday and it was BFN. I've been reading a lot about ov spotting and just been looking at the chart gallery on FF. I found a chart on there of a woman who dodn't ov till CD56 or something so maybe there's hopw for me yet! I'm desperately trying not to go to the loo so I can do an OPK later. It's only been about an hour since I last went so better store it up for another couple of hours! . (TMI) I've got blood streaked EWCM, very high and open cervix so fingers crossed this is an actual ovulation! I'll be back later all miserable if OPK is neg.

Bucky2008 · 20/02/2008 16:13

Sorry to butt in but ClairePO are you still out there? I want to ask you a question....

Hi Everyone!

Well, AF finally arrived yesterday so it is now CD2 for me and I can add myself back to the list. I want to start afresh and since this is the first cycle I can try and know that I don't have anything preventing me from actually falling pregnant now (had to have several operations to repair my uterus over the past few months), I have decided this will be cycle 1 for me again. I hope that's ok for everyone.

Hope everyone is well, congrats to all the BFPs and here is to many more this month!! x

To my previous CBs: Mrsei" - sorry AF caught you last month, hope this month will bring you that BFP! I see you are on CD11 so not long to go to OV and all that BDing!! - Piper* - so sorry for your CP, so cruel I see you are on CD3 so can we be HCBs now?

Hi Littlesquirt woohoo!! HCB yeah hopefully we will all getting BFPS this cycle.

Noam
thats really good news, it must have been just the little bean getting cosy

Ladies a meet up would be good crack! only problem is i'm based in a little village in the arse hole of no where in Ireland!!

SparklyMummy · 20/02/2008 19:27

Hi girlies.

piper LOL at your village comment. I agree with FL, let's meet up with or without beans!
EI and FL my HCB. How are you both? Hope OV is starting for you FL. Can you OV twice in month?
NOAM Excellent news. I hope it's all plain sailing from now on.

Another -OPK for my today although I had a bit of brown discharge. Just a small amount though. Does anyone know what is going on with my body?

Was just marking and one of the girls in my class wrote cock instead of coch (red in welsh but sounds like cock). How childish (but amusing!!)

piper1984 · 20/02/2008 19:40

LOL at the "cock up"Sparkly

We are doing a write a book project in school at the moment, spent all afternoon trying to decipher junior infants stories, some of them very funny and innocent
LOL my DH has started to ask about FL and Sparkly and Ei as well and has also taken to reading over my shoulder as well to get all the gossip

Can i be a HCB too? purleaaaase
