I have brought the list across, fluffed the cushions and put some nice tea to brew. I baked muffins and biscuits too, help yourselves.

oooh i handed my assignment in on friday just gone so iv got 5 weeks off now til i go back for theory block and then in placement for 10 weeks i cant wait to get back to the placements though it is my favourite part i hate the theory blocks as they are so boring sitting in stuffy lecture theatres straining to hear the tutor ah well i am just doing my morning job at the mo so not much to do in the afternoons except watch DD and lurk on MN (im not bragging honest)
xx ei xx

ScaryHairy · 18/02/2008 19:54

Well done Musicgirl that's great news.

Hi TF. My DD is nearly 20 months old. Am I right in thinking you've got a LO around the same age?

Lobster - sounds like a sign to me!

Good idea to BD every other day Ei - that's supposed to be the best way to go if you can.

I am sick of my BFNs and so am getting acupuncture. I've also started taking these new vitamins from Zita Jones and they've turned my wee the most astonishing shade of green!

Hi to everyone else, I hope you're all well and that you ALL get BFPs in the next few weeks!!

SparklyMummy · 18/02/2008 20:02

Haha. Lucky you ei!! I don't enjoy sitting in lecture theatres much either. My timetable is quite full as well so I feel like I don't have time to think these days. All this stress prob isn't helping me with TTC lol!! I don't know how you cope with a job, a course and DD..I wouldn't have time to get a job too!

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 18/02/2008 20:07

its a case of needs must at the mo sparkly the pay is awful doin nursing and it is full time aswell so i have to do early mornings to cover the extra i need for bills etc but im lucky to have a supportive family behind me to help when i need it i dont think i could cope if not for them
xx ei xx

ScaryHairy · 18/02/2008 20:14

Ha - just realised I wrote "zita Jones" when I meant "zita West". Clearly these vits not good for the brain...

SparklyMummy · 18/02/2008 20:17

LOL Scaryhairy Do you think they are making a difference?

EI I couldn't do my course without the help of my DP and mum. Did you say you're in your final year?

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 18/02/2008 20:21

haha i didnt notice actually were you thinking about CATHERINE zita jones??
sparkly i am about to go into my final year all being well hopefully i will pass my assignment and i wont have to go back 6 months but if i do its not the end of the world i suppose
xx ei xx

SparklyMummy · 18/02/2008 20:30

I'm sure you will pass your assignment. I'm not sure how nursing years work. They don't seem to be the same as mine.
I wish I knew when I was going to get pg. We've been having unprotected sex for 2 years..you think I would be by now. If someone said, "O, don't bothered trying, you won't be pregnant until September"...i'd prob be relieved. It's the not knowing that drives me mad. Do you all feel the same?

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 18/02/2008 20:36

i wish someone would just tell me so i could save the money on tests etc its a PITA all the guessing and being disappointed have you been to see your GP?? if you have been having unprotected sex for 2 years then surely he will send you for hormone tests etc
nursing runs over the entire year rather than in the space of 9 months iyswim we dont have a summer break we have smaller breaks throughout the year
xx ei xx

ScaryHairy · 18/02/2008 20:48

No idea, Sparkly. I figure they won't do any harm, though. I have put my DH on the man version too!!
Am sure I'm thinking of CZJ Ei, but I'm guessing her vitamins would be out of my price range!!

SparklyMummy · 18/02/2008 20:49

No haven't been to see GP as yet. Want to try these OV tests first because i'm not sure if cycles are annovulatory; I don't recognise any OV symptoms..periods are 28-35 days apart but not really irregular but my bleeding has changed from 5 days steady bleeding to longer AF where bleeding gets heavier and then slows and gets heavier again. Not sure what is going in but will be a relief to find out if/when i'm OV. What are the chances of these OPKs showing i'm not OV if I am? My urine is always strong because I don't drink enough..I know I should but I don't get thirsty and I forget.
I'm also starting to think I might have sugar level problems because if I go a few hours without food my body starts to shake, I become dazed and dizzy and my hands get clammy. I can't concentrate and I start to blackout but once I snack I feel better within 10 mins. I'm f*ed aren't I! I'm never going to get a bean LOL!

SparklyMummy · 18/02/2008 20:51

Scary The DP said he would take zinc if he had to next month but I might just persuade him to take those instead.
I also read an article in the Guardian on Saturday about infertility. It said that men who ate tomato soup for 2 weeks had a higher sperm count after the tests. It was only done on 6 men though. Ah well, tomato soup for tea tomorrow, and the next day, and the next.....

ScaryHairy · 18/02/2008 20:55

Sparkly Apparently the man version is very popular. Our local Holland & Barrett is constantly sold out and so I had to order them online. Clearly taking them is a very manly thing to do!! Alternatively I think a handful of pumkin seeds and a brazil nut is meant to deliver plenty of zinc and selenium - maybe you could get your DH to eat that each day?

SparklyMummy · 18/02/2008 20:57

I've got a nut allergy so he'd better stay away from those...but I could add some pumpkin seeds to his lunch box

Sparkly I always get this pre-AF spotting for 5 days so will not be back to CD1 until the weekend. I know TEW is not actually here yet, but I have to be honest with myself and I know she'll be here in 4-5 days
Lobster cervix sounds like a good sign !
ScaryHairy good on you doing something positive. What are in these Zita West tablets ? I have read her book but wasn't aware she had her own line in vitamins. Good idea about getting DP onto vits too - trouble is they take 3 months for the swimmers to be affected and I'm soo impatient ! I have been placing a big bowl of nuts in the kitchen for months now to encourage brazil nut intake

Moonlit · 18/02/2008 22:17

Musicgirl congratulations! I wish you a wonderful pregnancy .

scully · 19/02/2008 04:01

LobstersLass · 19/02/2008 06:43

Oh well, it was a BFN. I will wait until Friday until I test again, unless AF arrives before then.

NOAM - remember positive thinking hun, I know it's easier said than done, but I really really hope all is OK. Glad your able to come on and voice your fears on here though, it does help a lot doesn't it? Sending you sticky thoughts and sticky buns.

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 19/02/2008 10:31

morning ladies
NOAM i really hope its a sticky bean for you and you are just having a bit of implantation bleeding where your bean is burying itself further in stay positve and we will be here for you whatever the outcome is xx {{{{{hugs}}}}}
hi to everyone else hope all is well
xx ei xx

mibbes · 19/02/2008 10:43

musicgirl sorry forgot to say congrats - well done you !
Lobster sorry for BFN - good luck with testing later this week - fingers crossed.
never HCB, oh hun hang on in there. Has the spotting stopped ? If you were only 8dpo I'm not sure you would've got a BFP a fews days ago so maybe original ov date is more accurate ?.. A small amount of spotting does not mean the end but I appreciate after last time you must be worried . All I can do is offer you big hugs and cross absolutely everything for you xx

No surprise here the spotting continues. Last night I read a lot about what the spotting could indicate and then had a big blub to dp about it - he has slapped my wrists for googling too much and told me to go and see the Doctor - so have just made appt for next Tue. I already feel more positive just by making the appt ! Will be going armed with last 2 cycles charts and my spreadsheet of cycle length and spotting ! (I have entered all the info I've been scribbling in diary for the past year in to a spreadhseet !!) The Doctor will hopefully be very afraid of obsessive nature and immediately investigate the problem . I want Doc to know am serious and will not be fobbed off

mibbes · 19/02/2008 10:45

cross-posted Hi Ei how are you today ? did you BD last night ? Any more indication that egg is early this cycle ?
