Thread no 2 as thread 1 was so close to getting full!

As a reminder this is a positive support thread for anyone preparing and planning to start TTC in 2023 💖

If you join start by introducing yourself with your age. what no. you're trying for and when you plan on starting plus any goals you might have before then! for example:

@DanisEndo
Age 27
TTC No.1
Starting Sep 23
I want to:

  • loose some weight (would like to get down to a healthy BMI by exercising and doing all home cooking, nothing to major or restrictive)
  • do some decorating around the house
  • get married (1st September woooo!)
  • change job / company
I have endometriosis and PCOS, 2 surgeries down and hoping I'll still be all clear by the time we get to trying.

Theres a long list of us now so bare with me updating it as we go 😅

Good luck everyone!!!

@Jennifer89 people say different things about 10 days being low. It’s on the lower end but it’s not 6 or 7. Mine is 10 and I got pregnant before…. Ended in a MC but I def still got pregnant and lots of people do!

Hopefulhoney6 · 05/03/2023 16:47

Ps @Jennifer89 good luck with the tests - what are you having them for?

Hopingforno2in2023 · 05/03/2023 17:05

I spot before my period too Jennifer and am expecting my blood tests this cycle to show that I have low progesterone. Fortunately in IVF I will be supplemented with progesterone until 12 weeks pregnant I believe. Definitely worth checking out.

CD1 today for me so calling the clinic tomorrow. Assume they will want me in on Tuesday for my first blood test.

Jennifer89 · 05/03/2023 17:43

@Hopefulhoney6 thank you, fingers crossed all ok. Main reason was due to issues with very heavy period first couple days and the spotting concerns, I am only 5 months into ttc but GP was still happy to run tests based on my concerns. Had day 21 and awaiting results and have day 3 of period test due soon.
Also awaiting scan appointment..
At least the tests should show if there any concerns such as low progesterone.

@HannahLouD How are you feeling? Sorry you've been through such a roller-coaster of emotions. Time will tell re getting that next BFP but hopefully it's not a long wait for you and this will be the only chemical. Sorry I've forgotten but how old are you? I couldn't enjoy my BFP until I was 13 weeks, so I can relate but fingers crossed that isn't the case for you. You aren't pathetic! I'd feel the same x

@Hopingforno2in2023 Bet you can't wait to get this show on the road! Good luck!

HannahLouD · 06/03/2023 08:22

@LeopardLover thank you for the message! 💕 I'm feeling ok thanks... Trying to just be positive and patient and know that it will happen eventually...
I'm 28, so not in the more "risky" age group, but who knows if it'll happen again 🤷🏻‍♀️ I do have a daughter who is 5 next month (with a previous fling) so I know I can carry to term. But I'm just so anxious now that it's happened once. I stupidly thought it wouldn't ever happen to me... As everyone does, I'm sure.
Just a waiting game now. I'm only on cd7 and I obviously have no clue if this cp is going to have messed with my cycle... I'll just have to wait and see and try to stop stressing! :)
Hope you and everyone else on this thread are doing well! x

Morning ladies, just got a potential positive preg test this morning but I’m taking it with a pinch of salt atm as I’m sure I’ve read that the easy@home tests can’t always be trusted?? Has anyone had an accurate test with them? The line was pretty dark (see photo) so I’m hoping it’s all good, but this is the first (potential) BFP after my MC in august so I think im just extra paranoid!!

@DollyGx that is really dark!! How many dpo are you? Even when my frers with my chemical were quite dark my easy at homes never got that dark...
That's a really strong positive for easy at home! Especially if it's early days, Congratulations!! x

I agree with this @DollyGx! This looks amazing! Tentative congratulations! Xxx

Hopingforno2in2023 · 06/03/2023 09:52

Looks v positive to me Dolly, congrats!

DollyGx · 06/03/2023 10:19

@HannahLouD @Floralsandsmiles @Hopingforno2in2023 thanks ladies that’s reassuring! According to my app I’m 12 DPO, going to pick up some more tests after work just to be sure 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

PeopleAreToads · 06/03/2023 10:27

@DollyGx thats similar to my easy@home test at about 12dpo, and yesterday I saw my babies heartbeat at 7+2 weeks, so fingers crossed for you and tentative congratulations!! That's a real line, it's not a squinted but do another test and allow yourself to believe it

Mummyme87 · 06/03/2023 12:21

@DollyGx that’s a very dark line! How many dpo are you? Definitely get a CB digital. Congratulations!

DollyGx · 06/03/2023 12:22

@PeopleAreToads aw wow congratulations! That’s so good to hear thank you! Definitely will be booking an early scan this time around all going well. Yep going to get some more tests after work today so fingers crossed 🤞🏼🥰

DollyGx · 06/03/2023 12:34

@Mummyme87 i think around 12 DPO? According to my apps anyway! Yeah I think the CB digital is the way to go! Thank you, doesn’t feel real at all!

CinderRosie · 06/03/2023 12:43

@DollyGx congratulations! Please update with your CB digi result. Still another month or two til we TTC so I am living vicariously through everyone on this thread 🤣

Mummyme87 · 06/03/2023 12:59

I’m 2dpo and trying not to think about it!! 😂

SMG1992 · 06/03/2023 13:48

@Mummyme87 I'm 1dpo so snap!
Hopefully the next couple of weeks go quickly and smoothly and we both get BFPs!

Freya8 · 06/03/2023 13:52

4dpo girls and its dragginggggg xx

LeopardLover · 06/03/2023 20:20

@HannahLouD Glad you're trying to remain positive, it can be really hard but there's nothing to say it'll happen again. You have a 5 year old so it's possible! I understand the impatient thing. I'm only being patient because I've only taken 2 months of folic acid. Once I'm at 3 months I think I'll become impatient to start TTC 🤣 I'm going through a never ending remortgaging process and considering getting a new job soooo! Still a bit longer to wait for us. Fingers crossed you'll get another BFP long before I'm ready to start joining on the countdown to ovulation 🤣 and the TWW xx

@DollyGx Congratulations!! I'd just want to see it on a FRER to convince myself but there's no denying that second line 😊

DollyGx · 06/03/2023 21:07

@CinderRosie no digital ones available but I was able to pick up a normal CB one, it looks pretty good considering I’ve drank so much water today so it’s pretty diluted! Course I’ve bought several so I’ll be doing more tomorrow morning, and probably the day after that too 🤣
@LeopardLover thanks! I had to make do with Tesco express today and no frer available unfortunately 🤣 will keep testing though! 🤞🏼

if this is a genuine positive, I just want to share what I done this month in case it helps anyone, of course there’s no way of knowing if any of this made any difference at all -
1 glass of grapefruit juice every morning up until ovulation (meant to increase EWCM and I have to say I did have more than usual this month!)
I used the Premom app with the easy@home ovulation tests (available from Amazon) that can be used with it, you upload a photo of the test and the app tells you if it’s low/high/peak. Test at least a couple of times a day when you’re in your fertile window to try and catch your peak. I do think this helped as I managed to catch my peak and had sex before and after it.
I started taking some Zita West supplements in January - a pregnancy multivitamin, the vital DHA omega 3 and vitamin D spray.
Funnily enough this was the month I’d contacted my GP to have tests done and had my first blood test last week and was due to go for the second this week but hopefully no need anymore 🤞🏼

Close to tears this morning. Supposed to be my day 3 bloods today but have woken to heavy snow. DH is away with work and the car so I was having to get public transport to the clinic which is over an hour away on rural roads. I can’t risk getting stranded and no one able to get DS from school especially as school may close early (or not open at all!). I have just left an answerphone message to cancel. Gutted this will mean another cycle’s wait :(

Hopingforno2in2023 · 07/03/2023 08:33

Two mins after posting that they sky cleared and I am here safely!

CinderRosie · 07/03/2023 09:16

@DollyGx that is a blazing positive! Congrats!
@Hopingforno2in2023 glad you've made it to your appt safely and don't need to wait another cycle.
@LeopardLover glad to find another one who is waiting to TTC!

Got my third day of flashing smiley on CB advanced ovulation test today, was thinking it'd be a static.... maybe tomorrow. Just tracking this month out of interest to see if I ever get a positive OPK as never do on the cheap strips.

DollyGx · 07/03/2023 10:34

@CinderRosie thank you! Let the paranoia begin 🤣
@Hopingforno2in2023 yay!! Hope you made it to the appointment ok 🙏🏻
