@mummytoemilia that all sounds positive! Fingers crossed!

@ukMummyof1 I'd say if you've BD'd before it, then you're still in with a chance!

I'm driving myself crazy at the moment. I'm only 5dpo, so it's way too early to test but it's all I think about at the moment. I'm going to try my best to hold out until 10dpo, but I think it's going to be a struggle 🙈

mummytoemilia · 06/02/2023 12:31

@RaindropsOnRoses22 honestly it's so hard isn't it! I've done it to myself this month since 6DPO and I can say all it brings is stress if you implant late / aren't pregnant. Probably best to start testing from 10dpo save yourself money & more days from questions 🤣x

TK220440 · 06/02/2023 15:35

Hi everyone!
Can I join please? 🤗We started TTC #1 last June and (besides a 3 month break after a chemical in July), this will technically be our 6th cycle... It’s so exciting and such a rollercoaster of up and downs!
Does anybody temp here? I find using OPK’s a bit of a pain, so my thermometer arrived today and I’m hoping I’ll be able to find out if and when my ovulation day is! (although I’m on CD15 today so may be too late).
We only managed to DTD twice so far (CD7 and CD13) so I’m not holding much hope for this month
xx

ukMummyof1 · 07/02/2023 09:56

Little update, I had EWCM yesterday evening and quite bad ovulation pains and this morning the EWCM came into full force (sorry TMI!!) am I right in thinking that I'll be ovulating today and will be 1dpo tomorrow OR ovulating tomorrow and be 1dpo the day after tomorrow? I usually test positive on day 16 when I used to test which I think is today but had the ovulation pains yesterday so I'm not sure. How is everyone getting on?

@TK220440 of course! So sorry to hear about your chemical. I don't temp check but used to use strip tests. Although, I've heard temp checking is really helpful to know not only when you ovulate but also to have an idea of if you are pregnant (after the TWW). Xx

@ukMummyof1 from my research, ovulation can vary at each month so it could be that you ovulate either side of CD16... do you DTD every other day/every 2 days during your fertile week?
I didn’t realise temping can help with having an idea of pregnancy? I find the charts so confusing!!! But I guess it’ll only become clearer after a full month of charting.. How long have you been ttc and is it your first? xx

I'm determined to make it to at least 10dpo, but I've been charting bbt and now can't tell exactly which day I ovulated. I know it's some time between CD14 and CD16, but if it's 16, that puts me 2 days behind where I thought I was.

@mummytoemilia how many dpo are you now? Are you holding out for af or testing?

UKMummy2one · 07/02/2023 10:46

Joining in on this thread, currently at the start CD5 & this is cycle 2 of Letrozole which I have had increased to 5mg.

Hope you are all okay and looking forward to seeing those BFP this month/next 🫶🏼

ukMummyof1 · 07/02/2023 12:42

@TK220440 from what I know about the pregnancy side of testing, your temp will stay up after ovulation and should stay up for quite a while, if it drops your period then usually comes but if it stays up then it's a good sign (I think! May need to check I'm right)
My DP was away this week and only home yesterday so hopefully we were just in time🤞 we are TTC baby number 2 and had an ectopic pregnancy last August which resulted in emergency surgery to have both the pregnancy and right tube removed sadly. We have pretty much been TTC a month after that, until my hormones calmed back down😊 you? Xx

@RaindropsOnRoses22 I'm 11/12DPO today! Still the same faintest lines. I know they're just indents now although I'm convinced they have pink tinge☹️ idk...
I've had the worst pain in the bottom of my back today. I think im going to take a break from testing as it's just making me go crazy & im going to wait for af which is due on Friday! X

mummytoemilia · 07/02/2023 13:21

As I had a chemical last month though it could really come any time. But I never have pains from ovulation - af apart from when I've been pregnant. ( Ive had them this cycle ) so i won't even be able to judge when af might show!

ukMummyof1 · 07/02/2023 13:57

@mummytoemilia eeek! That does sounds good, have you got a pic?? Xx

OP posts:
mummytoemilia · 07/02/2023 14:06

@ukMummyof1 I can't actually post a picture as I'm new to this app. Although you can barley see on a photo anyway. Theyre a squinter in person! Xx

TK220440 · 07/02/2023 14:10

@ukMummyof1 So sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy, that must be awful but I’ve heard so many success stories of women able to conceive successfully with one tube!
That’s great to know with temping, that’ll be another ‘symptom spotting’ except use during the tww! 😆
We are on similar timescales with ttc... Were on cycle #6.. I find it so difficult to keep myself distracted on the tww. I send myself absolutely nuts every month! xx

TunnocksTCake · 07/02/2023 14:17

@RaindropsOnRoses22 can you upload a pic of your chart? Maybe we will be able to work it out for you.

@Tk220440 Temping is great but only to confirm that you have ovulated, after it has happened. IF you are already in your fertile window you will be too late to know this cycle, you need a full month really, but a good idea to start doing it now anyway so you get used to the habit. It is very important you do it the same time every day & essentially you get a rise after ovulation has happened (confirmed by 3 consecutive days of raised temperatures), and if you're pregnant it will stay in the 'high' zone rather than coming down towards your pre-ovulatory temps. Hope that makes sense and good luck!

@TunnocksTCake I've attached my chart below. FF is saying I ovulated on the 16th. Natural Cycles is saying the 14th, so I don't know which to believe!

@ukMummyof1 sorry to hear about your ectopic. As others have said though, I've heard tonnes of positive stories about people conceiving with only one tube!

@mummytoemilia that all sounds good though, hopefully af doesn't show up but that dye stealer of a line does!

Hi all, First time poster looking to join the thread.

TTC 9 months (bar 2 months due to with chemical mc). Also had a chemical about 6 years ago. Currently on CD20.

Having trouble monitoring my ovulation though. Don't see a surge every month, but also not testing more than once a day. Had a faulty batch of tests this month so didn't get a full timeline of testing.

TWW is killing me 😂 Currently 7DPO according to calendar.

TunnocksTCake · 07/02/2023 22:26

@RaindropsOnRoses22 hmm that is confusing. I would say that FF is taking the OPKs into account and that's why it's chosen CD16, but I personally just looking at temps would have said cd14. Either way you definitely Ovulated, which is comforting!

buckingmad · 07/02/2023 22:53

Joining in please ☺️ TTC#2, first is 18 months. Ovulated a little earlier this month so I’m not sure how successful we’ll be. Got a high OPK yesterday evening then a low reading this morning. Not sure if I peaked between the two or before the first test. DTD today so hopefully still within the fertile window. Going to class today as ovulation so TWW begins!

RaindropsOnRoses22 · 08/02/2023 07:47

@TunnocksTCake Yeah, I'm thinking CD14 is probably most likely, and that maybe my LH was still up on the 15th? But yeah, good to know I've ovulated!

@buckingmad I don't have loads of experience with OPKs just yet, but I'd keep testing for another day or two just to make sure that really was your peak.

I tested cause I got lots of EWCM so I think I have just ovulated 2-3 days early. Am going to test today and tomorrow anyway and DTD just to be sure.

mummytoemilia · 08/02/2023 08:33

I believe my Af has arrived ☹️

RaindropsOnRoses22 · 08/02/2023 16:27

@mummytoemilia oh no, sorry to hear! Here's hoping the next cycle's a lucky one 🤞🏻

UKMummy2one · 08/02/2023 17:37

CD6 and just taken my last dose of 5mg. Went to the hospital for my baseline scan and all was good no large cysts so can proceed with this round.

Just wondering how many of you are tracking your temps and what you’re using/time you’re doing it? When I conceived with my daughter I remember doing it but was hit/miss and didn’t find it was accurate so stopped the round I conceived with her on.

Or do I just go off OPKs? I’m a little unsure as last cycle I started with the CB OPKs with static and flashing smileys so suggested I’d ovulated but 21 day bloods said not 🤔 I did actually get a very faint positive last time on a CB as well but turns out it was false as they don’t believe I even ovulated 🤷🏻‍♀️

Trying to have a more calmer approach this time round. Easier said than done though as I know I’ll end up testing like a crazy woman 😂

RaindropsOnRoses22 · 08/02/2023 18:32

@UKMummy2one I've been tracking temps, using the bbt thermometer that comes with the natural cycles app, which I've used for a couple of years now.

I generally take my temp about 7am, but I'm not a great sleeper so I take it all with a pinch of salt. I'm hoping that between bbt and OPKs, I'll work out when I ovulate.

When I first used the advanced CB OPK, I got a static smiley on CD7 which sent me in to a panic because af had only ended the day before. I kept going with it though, carried on temping and using the cheapo OPKs and the next time I got a static smiley, the cheapo OPKs were strong too so I think it was pretty accurate.

TunnocksTCake · 09/02/2023 09:54

@mummytoemilia sorry to hear that :(
@buckingmad good luck for the TWW! Are you going to test or wait for AF?
@UKMummy2one I used BBT to conceive my first but cant do it now as I have such interrupted sleep with her. It is v important that you do it at the same time every day, when you wake up (within 30 mins or so) and that you take it before you move around in the morning, as this raises your temp and you are looking for such a tiny shift in temperature! Has to be after 4 hours sleep I think too. You can buy BBT thermometers on Amazon for around a tenner. It is very useful for confirming O and if youre worrying you might not ovulate it would give good data to take to the Drs. Hard to get into the habit though, and you need a full cycle to see the pattern/ shift. Its a personal thing really, I found OPKs and BBT together was a lot of stress/ pressure, but it does give useful info.
