Hello everyone! Count me in please. Stopped taking the pill just after DC1 turned 2 a couple of months ago. Had a chemical pregnancy this month, so onwards and upwards for February! I can’t temp as my sleep is so disturbed by my existing child… and I’m not sure ovulation testing would be good for me mentally. So I’m going by the calendar and crossing fingers! It’ll be nice to share the journey with people.

Hi lovely. I had a chemical last cycle too. Sending luck your way for a healthy baby 🤞🏼

gettingprepped · 30/01/2023 13:22

Thanks so much @mummytoemilia - you too! I’ll be looking out for your news :)

TunnocksTCake · 30/01/2023 13:56

@ukMummyof1 Thank you, it really helps to know youre not alone 🙂Definitely a mental readjustment and reset when starting a new month. Sounds like you're going through alot with your PCOS & investigations, I hope you get your diagnosis, as I know it can be hard to convince docs to take you seriously with these things. It is good that you are having regular cycles at least.
I have been using cheap OPKs but often miss my peak so Im going to use CB digial ones this month, as that worked when I conceived my daughter. Also on a whole host of supplements to try and sort my periods out, which are all also good for hormones & fertility.
@gettingprepped Welcome, and sorry about your chemical, if it helps I got pg with my daughter the very next month after a chemical, they say they can boost fertility somehow... was true for me at least, and its a good sign that you can get pregnant.

fayerl · 30/01/2023 14:36

Hi!

Congratulations @fayerl ! That’s super news. Do keep us posted!

Thanks @TunnocksTCake thats encouraging. Fingers crossed! Feeling reasonably optimistic at this point. Can I ask what supplements you’re taking?

ukMummyof1 · 30/01/2023 14:57

@TunnocksTCake how many times a day were you testing for ovulation? I only say that as mine could do from negative in the morning, positive by mid day and by the afternoon it already was going negative so maybe do a few a day as you are approaching your positive.
@gettingprepped sorry about your chemical! Really hope this month is the month for you- just like @TunnocksTCake I've heard that a lot of people get their positive the month after due to a shake up of hormones. I've always used ovulation tests so now know a rough date of when I ovulate and can always tell from EWCM so maybe if that works for you too keep an eye out! Xx

Can I join please 🙋🏻‍♀️
Just started last month to TTC #2. Period is 1 day late this month but no BFP - I used to spot quite a bit on the coil so wondering if my calculation of cycle length is slightly off.
Not using ovulation sticks at the moment but will start in a couple of months if no luck!

ukMummyof1 · 30/01/2023 15:08

@Blanketwars yes of course! When did you get the coil taken out. Hopefully you just ovulated late and it isn't showing up on the test yet, when are you next going to test? Do you have a pic of your other one you done? Xx

Blanketwars · 30/01/2023 15:57

Coil taken out beginning/mid Jan on first day of last period. Chucked the test but there wasn’t even a hint of a line!!
Probably do need to start the sticks (why are they called OPK’s?) but going on holiday end of feb so going to relax about it till after that (and maybe drink some wine on holiday!!)

TunnocksTCake · 30/01/2023 15:57

Congratulations @fayerl wishing you a healthy pregnacy!
@ukMummyof1 I try to test twice a day but work/ toddlers/ life gets in the way, hence why I am going to the CB digis this month as you just do once a day and its over and done with first thing! I definitely have a short / quick rise.
@gettingprepped I am taking shatavari (adaptogen), Evening primrose pre O for EWCM, Vit B6, Magnesium, and pregnancy vitamin with folate. I have done LOADS of research due to my horrid periods and this combination does improve things for me.
@Blanketwars I had wonky cycles for a while after I had the coil taken out, if I remember correctly, it can take some time for them to return to normal afterwards.

RaindropsOnRoses22 · 30/01/2023 16:15

Hi all, hoping I can join!

Ttc #1. I've been told I have low AMH so I'm expecting it to be difficult but keeping everything crossed that it happens naturally.

This will be cycle #2 of trying and I'm on CD12 so trying to time it just right.

Ave93 · 30/01/2023 17:21

Hi :) can I please join too?
I’m currently ttc baby no 2. This is my third cycle of trying and I am on CD13.
I’m still breastfeeding my DS who is now 13months and have been getting late ovulation since my period returned. Hoping to ovulate in the next few days 🤞 xx

mummytoemilia · 30/01/2023 17:32

@Ave93 all the luck in the world to you❤️ are you using strips to judge ovulation? X

ukMummyof1 · 30/01/2023 18:48

@RaindropsOnRoses22 what does AMH stand for? And you're half way through so that's good! Do you know if you have already ovulated and are on the TWW yet?

OP posts:
ukMummyof1 · 30/01/2023 18:52

@Ave93 I'm also breastfeeding my DS still but did get pregnant back in July which I was super surprised about as people had said it's unlikely to happen whilst breastfeeding so I was soo over the moon but unfortunately ended up being an ectopic pregnancy. How late is your ovulation? After my ectopic surgery I wasn't ovulating until about CD21 when it used to be about CD12 but it's gone down to about CD16 xx

Thank you @mummytoemilia . Wishing you all the luck too! I’ve been using CB ovulation strips (purple ones) and had two days of flashing smileys. I actually did an easy@home one tonight and I got a strong positive so I’m hoping I’ll ovulate in the next day or two! It means my ovulation day must be getting back to my previous cycle.

what about you? Are you using LH tests? Xx

Ave93 · 30/01/2023 21:00

Sorry to hear about the ectopic @ukMummyof1 - let’s hope you get your rainbow baby this month! How old is your DS?

It was CD21 in November and CD19 in December. I actually got a strong positive LH test on tonight’s test so I’m hoping it’s getting more in the middle of the month gradually as I’m CD13 today. I use to ovulate CD14/15 before I had my DS. What CD are you? Xx

mummytoemilia · 30/01/2023 21:17

@Ave93 so I used one step ovulation tests! Currently 5DPO so just itching to test atm!🤞🏼🤩

1greentea · 30/01/2023 21:32

@RaindropsOnRoses22

So I have incredibly low AMH, I'm 34 and my AMH levels are that of a 45 year old!! But I've been doing a lot of reading etc and it's not actually that indicative of present fertility, even with a very low egg count it only takes 1 egg. And although I supposedly have the egg count of a 45 year old as I'm 34 my eggs will be much better quality than a 45 year old! So it doesn't measure egg quality. Just need to ovulate 1 egg.
I went down the rabbit hole with it and eneded up crying for a week before I read all this stuff. Also not good in isolation, like follicle stimulating hormone levels are key too. And a follicle count on ultrasound. I missed 2 periods and convinced myself I was all dried up and infertile, after 2 previous pregnancies, then got my period. So am on day 7 now. Have an ultrasound with a fertility specialist this week, am so nervous but just want some clarity now.

Maxime34 · 30/01/2023 21:57

Hi ladies, CD1 over here. Really thought last month was going to work so it hit me really hard when I was getting bfn after bfn. Almost a relief that af has shown up and I can get my head back on track for this month. Really hoping this is our month and congratulations to those who have already got a BFP on this thread!

mummytoemilia · 30/01/2023 22:02

@Maxime34 fingers crossed for you that this is your month!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Ave93 · 30/01/2023 22:27

@mummytoemilia oh I bet! The tww is so hard. I’ve tested so many times the last two cycles before af is due! Have you got a plan when you’re doing to test?

mummytoemilia · 30/01/2023 22:31

@Ave93 I always cave to! I think it's only natural as we're so desperate to know!! I think I will probably wait until 9DPO as I've had positives on that day before. 💗 so only 3 more whole days !!

Ave93 · 30/01/2023 22:49

@mummytoemilia definitely! keeping everything crossed for you!! I got my BFP at 9dpo too on a frer so that sounds sensible! Hope it goes quickly for you and there are two lovely lines!

ukMummyof1 · 31/01/2023 09:30

@Ave93 I'm on CD9 and DS is nearly 1.
Wow that's good that it's come down so much, sounds just like how mine was. How did your ovulation test look this morning?
