I definitely think I just need to try a little patience and wait to see it AF turns up or try to test after 10DPO+.

It's my birthday at the weekend and then we are off on our honeymoon on the Monday so going to try to think about those things instead (easier said than done isn't it!) Maybe we can do some successful BD'ing on our honeymoon if this cycle isn't ours 😂

Currently cd23. According to the app I'm 2 days from ovulation, not too sure how accurate that is as I have irregular cycles. I need to be more consistent with opks to norrow down my fertile window. Dtd everyday for the last few days, will continue with this for the next few days and hope for the best! Its so hard not to become consumed by it all.

Hi girls, hope you don't mind me joining. I am 29 years old. Have been off the pill since July. Had a chemical in October which broke my heart and this is my 5th cycle since then with no luck. I do my opks each month. My cycles have went from 28 days to 26 days and I ovulated on CD12 this month. I am currently 9dpo and the only symptoms ive had are some niggly pains in left side and I noticed whilst in the shower last night my boobs were swollen and phsycially heavy and my nipples have got bigger (sorry if TMI) I've never experienced this before. No pain with them but I never experience pain even before AF!! Bfn on an easy @ home this morning but I don't think they are much good for early testing. It's just nice to have some like minded people to discuss with!

@Strawb28 hi! Also new too. Messaging as very similar - am also 29 and TTC #1. Sorry to hear about your chemical, must have been really tough.

my cycle is also quite short now at 27 days but has taken me ages to perfect my cycle after birth control induced PCOS which stopped my periods for a year..nightmare.

I’ve had really similar this month. I’m on CD17 now and we DTD twice in my fertile window. Getting lots of pains in weird places I don’t usually so far but no boob changes.

@smldnlove I will 100% keep you updated. I have some frers coming tomorrow so will prob take one Friday morning which will be 11dpo and 2 days before period! How long have you been trying??

im currently TTC baby number 3 - I’ve had 2 early miscarriages in both January and February! I tried using opk sticks this month however the results were so varied I wasn’t sure I was using them properly. I do think I’ve ovulated though however I seem to get sore nipples after ovulation? Does anyone else get this?

Hi all. I’m still figuring this all out so excuse my many questions. I have been tracking my LH levels for 3 months now and seem to be seeing that peak each time, however I’ve just started tracking BBT and it’s making me concerned as I am not seeing a rise. I have a fairly short luteal phase too so just worried I’m not producing enough progesterone.

My question is, if I’m seeing that regular LH peak, am I likely to ovulate? Or is there a world in which I can peak each month with OPKs and never ovulate? How likely is it to see those peaks month to month and not ovulate? I’m aware that a positive LH test doesn’t confirm ovulation, but does it suggest that you are ovulating?

@Strawb28 This is is our 2nd cycle trying so still early days. We are getting married in 3 months so we it’s not the best timing but we’re so ready and feeling a little reckless as we really want to start a family now.

Have you had any more symptoms since? I’m around 3dpo and know I can’t be feeling symptoms yet but still feel like I’m cramping hard at the moment and my ewcm is constant atm. It’s so confusing!

Yes you can have positive OPKs and still not ovulate (very annoying) which is why the best way to track really is bbt. OPKs are testing your LH which tells you you should ovulate soon but not that you have, so you don’t necessarily know that you’ve ovulated unless testing your temp. Some people do have this issue, unsure how common it is but worth exploring more. how long have you been trying?

i haven’t got so far as to be testing my bbt yet but my thermometer has just arrived today and if we have no luck this cycle I’ll start next time. Hope that helped though!

@smldnlove oh that is so exciting! You've so much to look forward to! No more symptoms but a BFN on frer tonight and not feeling pregnant so think I'm out but will test again in a few days! Ohhh did you confirm ovulation with OPKs or temp? I don't actually temp just use the strips! X

Ahhh fingers crossed still though you never know with these things! I confirmed with OPKs yeah so not completely reliable. I think I’m going to start on bbt next cycle for accuracy too and I’m intrigued!

do you have any friends or relatives TTC at the same time? Asking because I have none TTC mostly single or just not ready yet and finding it quite strange not really having people to discuss it with (other than here ofc ☺️)

@smldnlove I am out this cycle. Heavy spotting this morn not full AF just yet. Another negative this morn also! I'm the same as you just use OPKs atm but I am also so scared incase they aren't accurate! So one of my closest friends had a baby in July, another 2 are currently pregnant with their first. One got pregnant on her literal first try and the other took around 11 cycles. She's been an amazing support to me!! She understands the disappointment when it doesn't happen straight away but also gives me hope that it will happen ❤️

@Strawb28 Ah I’m sorry to hear that! I’m guessing your period came? and wow you have quite a few friends who are pregnant or are in the same phase of life which is lovely.

Whats your plan for next cycle? Will you try anything different or just keep with the OPK and try and narrow it down more?

Just a sad update: We've been denied to get a referral for ob-gyn by the NHS. I'm 37, with PCOS and been trying for 8 months, I know locals getting NHS help at 29 when the criteria advises is people over 35-40, unfortunately this seems to be another xenophobic issue within the NHS, we're both Spanish, full-time workers since day one and being taxed for 10+ years, still deserve nothing, it seems.

Guess we'll have to lose all our money on a private clinic because they don't like the color of our passport.

Hi, I’m TTC been of the pill since the start of Nov. My period is two days late, I’ve taken two tests and both negative.

5 dpo I felt really sick and even was sick, I’m having vivid dreams and I was sick again last night. Is being sick around implantation a common sign? I feel like I am pregnant but tests saying I’m not 🙁

@smldnlove yes AF is here in full force. Cycle day 2 or 3 now!! I am going to really up my water intake this month to try and encourage the EWCM at ovulation and add more phsycial activity to see if that helps. How are you getting on?

@Strawb28 At least you know are in a new cycle, and can see what this one brings. Sending you lots of positive cycle vibes 💫 Yes to water and excercise! I need to increase the water intake for sure. are you taking any vits?

Have had such a strange few days. Had quite intense cramps around 3-5dpo (which I know means nothing) and then yesterday and today have had dizziness and nausea practically all day. It’s been awful, hardly got any work done today. I’m now 7DPO so also unlikely to be anything but finding it very strange as I don’t suffer from that ever and never have other than motion sickness. I did cave and do a test today and was of course a BFN but also know it’s early still…

@Nicole90134 Hi and welcome! I know nausea can be an symptom but whether that can come so early I’m not sure. 5dpo seems quite soon, are you still feeling it now? Any other symptoms? Did you track ovulation this cycle?

@smldnlove hi, thanks 🙂 I thought maybe it was food poisoning but OH wasn’t I’ll and we ate the same food and it only lasted a few hours!

felt sick all day, was sick last night and I keep having hot flushes. Boobs are sore today! I’ll take another test in a few days! Are false negatives common? I’ve only just joined this site have you seen anyone say they’ve had false negatives before? Still no sign of my period!

@smldnlove oh wowww. This all sounds super positive!! If you implanted yesterday you could very well be feeling little symptoms today and it may just take a few days for the tests to pick up the Hcg!! I'm taking folic acid! I had got into the bad habit of not taking anything but need to get back into it!

@Nicole90134 It definitely sounds on track! But also could be unrelated it’s hard to tell especially with the negative test. But also, I’ve heard a lot of people who test negative up to 16/17dpo too so it really depends - what dpo are you?? False negatives are definitely a thing, just keep testing. Fingers crossed for you 💫💫

@Strawb28 Yss that’s true! Eek will keep you posted. Determined not to get through loads of tests so gonna test again at 11dpo so on Friday and see what comes up. Will keep you posted.

yeah same! Taking folic and cut D for a while and just ordered the pregnacare vits for conception too to see what it’s like. There’s so many that people seem to be taking it’s hard to know what to choose!!

hi all! i am 5dpo today but have had such intense sharp cramping, like shooting pains all day around ovaries! what could this be? it seems to early to be implantation but obv hoping it is haha!

Thats funny because I had the exact same thing around 5dpo and it was so strange for me too. It then went away and since then I’ve had the odd twinge but hardly any cramping…8dpo today. Do you have any to other symptoms? x
