Hi - I have just had my positive OPK & CB digital ovulation and expecting ovulation in the next few days. Weirdly I had stopped tracking for a while due to irregular cycles and just had an urge to test today!

DTD today and plan to for the next few days (sorry tmi!) but wondered if anyone else is on the TWW - it would be nice to have talk and share our experiences 😀

@Hopefulx congratulations, your line progression is looking so positive (excuse the pun)!

@Sb86 i could see the line on yours too, so hopefully the spotting is implantation bleeding.

@Floralsandsmiles you don’t have to test for ovulation if you want to take a relaxed approach but it helps to have an idea of your fertile period (taking charge of your fertility is a great read that is constantly recommended on here and it tells you about signs of ovulation). If bd every other day throughout your cycle or at least your fertile period, then you stand a good change of conceiving, but a lot of people using apps assume their predicted fertile period is correct when it’s not (it’s just an estimate) and so miss their fertile days.

Thank you @PrimarilyParented . Is the "taking charge of fertility" a link or a book? And sorry, I don't know the acronym for bd? I thought saving up DTD until most fertile days is best, so the sperm isn't "watered" down as such? 🤭🙈 'xxx

Hey!
so I had my first squinter on Sunday at 9dpo and this is how it’s looking so far…
11dpo today. What do we think? Sorry for the rubbish photo 🙈

Looks great progression @MrsL22 ! Tentative congratulations to you too xxxx

MrsL22 · 07/02/2023 18:47

Thanks everyone. I’m doing that thing where you google everything and I’m seeing other people who have darker tests than me by now. So unsure how to feel 😂🙈
Had a chemical in November so I’m really reluctant to believe it

PrimarilyParented · 07/02/2023 19:31

Taking charge of your fertility is a book, I’m not sure if it’s available as a pdf somewhere. It’s available on kindle but cheaper second hand as a physical copy, or you could probably get it from your local library.

BD is the same as DTD, think it stands for ‘Baby Dance’ but to be honest I’m not always sure myself it just only makes sense to me that way in most posts I see it on.

PrimarilyParented · 07/02/2023 19:32

@MrsL22 congratulations, those tests look very positive to me!

Aww OK, gotcha! Well thank you! Xxx

PrimarilyParented · 08/02/2023 15:59

@Sb86 how are you getting on?

I also just had some spotting. Very light and just one bit of ewcm really with a clear brown tinge, but I am pretty sure it means AF is on its way tomorrow.

Sb86 · 08/02/2023 16:16

@PrimarilyParented I'm thinking I'm out this month and it must have been an evap 🙄 I've had some more spotting today but not turned into anything more...I had this for a few days before my bfp with the pregnancy in September so I'm hoping it could be but only thing I have I tender nipples. Last time I had full aching boobs? I plan to test tomorrow morning so shall update you all then.

Ewcm is a good sign surely?

@Sb86 I would say so as if it was AF it wouldn't be that colour surely? Fingers crossed for you still and sending you positive thoughts xxxx

Sb86 · 08/02/2023 16:48

Thankyou @Floralsandsmiles xx

Mrsrobinsonx · 08/02/2023 16:59

Hope everyone is getting on ok!
update from me - still getting faint positive tests but they aren’t getting much darker still. So I’m pretty sure I know where we are heading but just in that limbo now!
AF is actually due tomorrow or Friday, I thought it was today but we will see in the next couple of days! X

PrimarilyParented · 08/02/2023 19:46

@Mrsrobinsonx keeping my fingers crossed for you, the tests aren’t always really dark for a while and it’s still before your period is due so a faint positive doesn’t sound bad to me.

ewcm is fairly common for me as part of the start of my period. My boobs are still killing me and usually the pain goes the day before my period (so I know it’s coming), but I feel so much like i’m about to start my period that I’m convince it I’d. I’m faintly holding on to the hope that this is implantation bleeding, but I genuinely don’t think it is. Trying not to be too gutted about that as it’s only cycle 2 of ttc, but after falling pregnant accidentally the first time I had hoped I would get pregnant instantly (don’t we all) but I know that’s unlikely and I just have to be patient.

Sb86 · 08/02/2023 20:59

@Mrsrobinsonx keeping everything crossed, maybe don't test tomorrow but on Friday so that there is more of a difference.

@PrimarilyParented oh god I know it's so bloody hard isn't it! We definitely take it for granted especially if it's been easy to fall pregnant in the past or you're not trying so much. When you're trying everything is amplified isn't it! I'm keeping everything crossed for you too 🤞🏼

Mrsrobinsonx · 08/02/2023 21:02

@PrimarilyParented @Sb86
Thank you both! I think it’s just because last time it happened I was exactly the dpo on the day of the week I am now, and it was the weekend before my daughters party and it’s my other daughters party next weekend so I honestly feel like it’s deja vu. Down to the faint lines and not many symptoms, think I’m guarding myself so if it does go downhill I’ll be ready for it x

PrimarilyParented · 08/02/2023 21:23

@Sb86 its definitely easy to take fertility for granted. I always had a back of my mind kind of fear that I wouldn’t be able to have children so when I accidentally got pregnant with my son I felt so lucky, but now I just have a fear that I won’t be able to have any more plays on my mind instead.

@Mrsrobinsonx its so hard not to compare but every pregnancy is different and I really really hope that this one is a sticky one x

Sb86 · 08/02/2023 21:33

@PrimarilyParented we don't half put ourselves through some turmoil! I'm sure everything will be OK, but I know it's hard to switch off sometimes and not overthink and worry.

@Mrsrobinsonx it's natural to worry but this is a different pregnancy, we are all rooting for you ❤️

Sb86 · 09/02/2023 06:39

Well ladies I did another frer and there's not even a hint of the 2nd line 😔 this is why I shouldn't have tested earlier because now I'm more downhearted than ever! Onto the next cycle...

Got a blood test today for general stuff not hormones but the doc did say if I'm low on iron that can have an impact on things, so we shall see.

Hope everyone is well this morning

MrsL22 · 09/02/2023 07:02

@Sb86 I’m so sorry 😢 at least you can just wait for AF now and with a new cycle comes another chance.

My lines are still progressing nicely in frer so think I may stop testing soon. Had a blood draw at EPU yesterday and another one tomorrow just to check the levels are rising at a good rate so 🤞🏼

Hopefulx · 09/02/2023 07:26

@Sb86 so sorry to hear this ❤️ was really rooting for you! If AF is coming I hope she turns up quickly so you can get onto the next cycle.

@MrsL22 have you got a picture of your line progression? How do you get your bloods tested? Do you know your hcg levels from yesterday? I’d like to know mine 😂 but then saying that if they aren’t rising properly there’s nothing I can do anyways.

MrsL22 · 09/02/2023 07:32

@Hopefulx this is my line progression.
And after ending up on EPU having a chemical in November they offered to see me any time I fell pregnant for a reassurance check. I’ve had some shoulder pain so I called for advice and they invited me in.
My level yesterday was 68. But I ovulate late into my cycle and I am only 13 dpo today.
My understanding is that by tomorrow they should be around 100 🤞🏼

TWW - anyone??
Hopefulx · 09/02/2023 07:56

@MrsL22 Great line progression! That’s reassuring. I have just booked myself for a blood test to see what mine is too. Do they give you ranges of what you should be at 13dpo? I was 13dpo yesterday (bottom) test. Our lines look similar so that’s reassuring.

I did a cb weeks digital today and it come back 1-2 weeks at 14dpo. It worried me a little as not sure when that should change to 2-3 weeks but will do another at 4weeks + 5 maybe. Have you done any cb weeks digital?

TWW - anyone??
MrsL22 · 09/02/2023 08:16

@Hopefulx I haven’t done any digital as I’m happy with the lines for now 🙈 but no they didn’t give me any idea as to ranges. I’ve seen this though and this seems to be in line with most other averages I’ve seen. Also checked out some posts from people on ivf who purposely have 12 dpo levels checked and successful pregnancies have ranged anywhere from 25-100 so I think I’m good.
It’s not necessarily the number that’s important, it’s how much it rises in 48 hours. Should rise by about 70% I think

TWW - anyone??
