TWW - anyone??

Hi - I have just had my positive OPK & CB digital ovulation and expecting ovulation in the next few days. Weirdly I had stopped tracking for a while due to irregular cycles and just had an urge to test today!

DTD today and plan to for the next few days (sorry tmi!) but wondered if anyone else is on the TWW - it would be nice to have talk and share our experiences 😀

@Hopefulx sorry for your loss also, yes it's a very testing time. Makes you question your body, makes you angry and sad at the universe. I've had so many people announcing pregnancies on my fb who are a similar due date to what mine would have been and I've had to unfollow them so I don't see all the updates. Of course I'm happy for them but I'm also sad for me, my oh and our baby so I'd rather not deal with it. It's weird though because I keep my fingers crossed all you ladies get your bfp and am genuinely happy when it happens. I don't know if it's because I know more about the trying and background with you lot rather than just seeing a scan photo pop up on my timeline and it seeming like it's so easy? But I don't know the backgrounds of everyone on my fb so they could equally have struggled, I don't know if that makes sense or not but it does in my head so I'll go with it ha.

I'm only 4dpo so still early days, I'm trying to take a different approach this month and not test before I need to. Are you 10dpo? What's the progesterone test you speak of? I'm wondering if my levels are lower because I spotted for about a week before my period last month and then it was super short.

Hopefulx · 06/01/2023 13:52

@Sb86 you have said that perfectly- I couldn’t agree more than what you have said. When others announce their pregnancies although we are happy for them, it can make us feel sad about our situation. However I don’t get it with ladies on the threads as we’re all in the same boat and have had struggles.

im 10 DPO, but I’m convinced I’m out due to my temp / progesterone getting lower. I had a blood test which confirmed it was low and I’ve also done the Proov strips where you test it over 4 days and mine has got lower over the 4 days. I’m gutted but I guess it’s not completely over until AF arrives.

id recommend having a blood test 7 days after ovulation to see you progesterone levels. If it’s low you can get tablets for it. Hoping your tww goes quick and you get your bfp!

Sb86 · 06/01/2023 15:00

@Hopefulx ahhh I see, yeah this is why I've decided not to temp after ovulation this month because I worry myself about it and that won't help. It's so disheartening isn't it, it literally consumes you and takes over your life.

Just wait and see if Af arrives that's what I'm going to do, feels like I've been waiting 2 weeks already and it's only been 4 days 🙃

Where did you get the blood test done for progesterone? The SCH groups I'm on over on fb gave mentioned progesterone to help with the SCH so if I fall pregnant again it will be the first thing I ask about.

AROSE9 · 06/01/2023 17:02

Thank you everyone! I know I would be saying the same thing to you in the same situation - harder to listen to yourself! Just keeping everything crossed I get a positive soon! 🙈

@apples24 so happy for you - please keep us updated! 💘

@Hopefulx @Sb86 I know how hard it is to think you're out because of 1 thing but got to keep positive, even if it isn't this month then we're just a step in the right direction. I feel so glad to have you all with me sharing the same emotions and understanding exactly what it's like! We will get there! Going to test Sunday again and then if not leave it for AF (app says due on Thursday)

@apples24 congratulations.

30mummy · 07/01/2023 07:31

13dpo - I took a test this morning and was negative after 3 mins.. i must of left it on the side and after an hour it looks like this? Obviously i ripped it apart (as you do) normally mine stays completely white. Obviously its a bfn because its after the time scale so i'll just wait to see if AF comes.. just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

TWW - anyone??

30mummy · 07/01/2023 09:00

Never mind, just done another test and its negative 🙂 xx

AROSE9 · 07/01/2023 09:19

@30mummy sorry to hear about your BFN. :(

I woke up at 7am this morning eager to test (9DPO) but BFN - not even a squinter. Went back to sleep and just woke up with this large dull aching cramp - ive had a similar feeling before when I was on pill but not relating to AF so not sure if it's implantation or not.

Feeling so down about it all now ☹️

OP posts:
30mummy · 07/01/2023 09:28

@AROSE9 dont be down, you have a good few days before AF arrives! The symptoms are sooo similar to AF, my advice would be to wait as long as possible, its horrible to see a BFN so many times. X

Louise0808 · 07/01/2023 10:40

I tested at 7am this morning 12dpo if I worked things out right. Bfn. Very crampy now and af is due in a few days so I'm waiting for that. Annoyed because I had nausea, sickness, dark nipples and sore breasts for a week. My body really played me this month lol.

30mummy · 07/01/2023 10:54

@Louise0808 i'm the exact same, my pains havent been to bad but I must of read into them a bit to much! Baby dust to you ✨️

Louise0808 · 07/01/2023 11:09

@3030mummy think I did the same with the rest, except sickness. That one took me by surprise. There's always next month :) for us all x

PrimarilyParented · 07/01/2023 16:31

I’m cd30 and no sign of AF yet but I’m genuinely not sure when it’s due as cycles range anywhere from 27-35 days (based on many years of tracking) and have been 29-30 over the last few months. Don’t feel like I have any symptoms at all of either AF of being pregnant (still a bit of stretchy yellow cm but last time I was pregnant I remember having so much I kept thinking my period had started and I definitely don’t have that so I think it’s more likely a sign of AF). I’m going to wait a few more days before testing if AF doesn’t show.

laughably my oldest step child has been pretending to be pregnant with a balloon just now. I can’t wait to be and to tell them as the kids will be so excited.

AROSE9 · 08/01/2023 08:03

10DPO and BFN...☹️

How is everyone else getting on?

@PrimarilyParented it's so frustrating not having a regular cycle... I know the feeling! Fingers crossed it gets better for you.

OP posts:
PrimarilyParented · 08/01/2023 15:39

@AROSE9 sorry you got a bfn but there’s still hope at 10dpo.

i don’t really count my cycle as irregular as it’s within a few days most months and only the odd one as an outlier. August is always a long one and I know that - think it’s because I’m a teacher and off work so my diet and daily exercise levels change and I’m often travelling. At the beginning of this month I had an awful sinus infection and lots of other life-stress too, so that could well make it a longer cycle, but if I notice ovulation signs my leuteal phase is consistent so I can predict my period arriving. Wasn’t really sure this month though as I didn’t get buckets of ewcm at any point (normally have a few days of loads of it) so either I didn’t ovulate this month or I just had less as I had been unwell.

still no period today but lots of cramps. Can’t fully tell if they’re period cramps or due to the constipation I have helpfully developed. Feeling fairly sure they’re an indication AF is on the way though and even though my app says I could test today I just don’t want to see a negative and am holding out.

cat709 · 08/01/2023 15:49

@Hopefulx that's a great link you've just sent! It makes me feel so much better.

I'm 8dpo. Negative test.

With my last pregnancy I got a big fat line at 8dpo, so bit disheartened now.

Xx

Hopefulx · 08/01/2023 17:05

@cat709 your welcome and it puts things into perspective. 8 DPO is still so early though, and every pregnancy is different so hoping you still get your BPF over the next few days.

Im 12 DPO today and BFN this morning :( AF is due tomorrow / Tuesday so will just wait for that. I’ve had AF cramps on and off today so I feel like I know it’s definitely coming, feel so disheartened as I really thought this morning was our month. Hope to see some BFPs from you ladies over the next week sending all lots of baby dust x

AROSE9 · 08/01/2023 18:12

@PrimarilyParented oh, at least you know and understand your cycles. Mine are all over the place. My last AF was on October so no idea why I think I could even be positive 🙈 (probably the ovulation cramps which I've never had before!) I am hoping it's my body getting used to life off the pill and nothing more serious. Time will tell I suppose. I'm a teacher too! I wish I was more active when off work - I'm very much the opposite of that 🤣 I hope you get a BFP and I'm glad you have the will power to wait it out! It is definitely for the best though, nothing worse than seeing BFN all the time.

According to my app I am due on AF Thursday (if I did ovulate) so going to wait for Tuesday to test again then hoping AF just shows up.

@Hopefulx awww I am so sorry ☹️ hopefully you get your BFP or AF show up soon - at least you will know that way and can start a fresh cycle! I have this gut feeling I am out this month too so we can keep eachother updated and fingers crossed February is our month 💓💓💓 but you're not out until AF shows and I think it's good you're going to take a break from testing. I know how disheartening it is.

Thank you all though for keeping this thread going - it has been so nice seeing some BFP and having people who understand what it's like.... I hope we can all stay in touch and keep this going for lots of BFPs - sending baby dust to you all. Xx

@AROSE9 thank you lovely. I get to this point now and just think AF hurry up so I can start a new cycle with new hope 😂 I think I’m going to stop tracking BBT a few days after I’ve confirmed my next ovulation day as it can be quite stressful seeing your temp come down etc and I can’t stop thinking of it.

I hope you’re still in with a chance I’ve got my fingers crossed for you! It gives me hope seeing other ladies on here and their BFPs (not that it relates to my body 😂 but it still gives me hope). Keep me updated with your tests the next few days, I’ll let you know if AF turns up x

PrimarilyParented · 08/01/2023 20:19

@AROSE9 nice to have another teacher on here. Foolishly I also keep thinking about the fact that the baby would be due in September which would be ideal as a teacher as I would be able to let the school know and the kids would have one teacher all year instead of me for some of it then I leave. It’s also the best bet mat leave wise as I can’t afford a full year but could manage until July and go back for a few weeks before the summer break so it would feel like a full year of Mat leave. I only got 6 months last time and would love a bit longer this time round.

@Hopefulx the stress of the 2ww is awful so you’re probably right to try and stop tracking if it’s torturing you. I’m deliberately not in order to keep my sanity and even then I still spend a lot of time googling nonsense symptoms.

PrimarilyParented · 08/01/2023 20:47

Just had some light spotting which is usually the sign AF will arrive overnight or tomorrow morning so I’m out for this month, but feeling ok about it as it was only our first month of trying.

MrsL22 · 08/01/2023 20:53

Another teacher here 👋🏼
I’e met another five teachers on here (I think that says a lot about our profession 🙄😢)

I, too, have decided to take the pressure off this month. aF arrived yesterday so new approach this month is to just go with the flow, not tracking every symptom, every day. I may or may not use OPKs but otherwise just hoping less pressure will improve my chances.

PrimarilyParented · 08/01/2023 20:55

@MrsL22 great to have so many of us. I think a stress free January is the way to go.

MrsL22 · 08/01/2023 20:57

@PrimarilyParented Just call it the TTC community version of dry Jan 😂

Mrsrobinsonx · 08/01/2023 21:10

Hi 👋🏻
I am currently in my tww as well, tested negative 9 & 10dpo so not overly hopeful but have a lot of weird symptoms this month I don’t usually have. AF due tomorrow but ovulated 2 days late this cycle so expecting a small delay.
Good luck and baby dust to everyone still waiting! 🤞🏻
