Hi all,

I’m just starting my TWW and planning on testing around 29 October (unless period comes sooner which it did last month!)

Anyone else planning to test around Halloween?

Get a proper frer. From boots or Superdrug.
Even if you have to put your fmu in a cup tomorrow and go to the shops... that's what will make your OH realise 😂
With my last one I left it turned upside down and left him to look at it and tell me the result which was a BFP 3+ weeks. I was so sure I was pregnant but thought it was in my head. Unfortunately it didn't work out, my best friend passed away the day/2 days before I miscarried. Whether it was a coincidence or the fact I couldn't have coped with what was going on and my body let me know.

@SmurfStar it's cool. The pregnancy caught me off guard. Tried for ages, decided to give it a break, fell pregnant, bestie died with a blood clot (at 32 years old it's just mind blowing) lost pregnancy.
This time around it would be lovely to have this as a successful pregnancy. But AF due Friday, had a very different potential implantation bleed yesterday/day before- my previous pregnancy I had sore boobs 6dpo, implantation goop a few days later, whereas right now I only have a headache, weird odd oval nips and a few hours of bright read blood yesterday, pretty much a pale brown cm today.
Not had a baby yet, would be lovely to get that opportunity.
Sending good vibes to everyone here though, you don't realise how much you'd love a baby, til you get close to it, and it goes away

I haven’t told anyone about my positive test. I am just afraid it will turn into a chemical. Just keep hoping for progression every 2 days.

Anyone else still waiting to test? 12dpo here, period due today or tomorrow. My best friend has grabbed me some tests from work so I'm picking them up this evening.

@Hopefull1981 wow a line at 4dpo. I darent test til AF is due which is sometime between tomorrow and Wednesday next week. Had a really really stressful two weeks though so wondering if my potential IB was just a messed up period. You know, when you constantly "what if" a situation
Congrats, and if you don't know if it's a good idea telling people, if I get a positive test, I'll be doing the same as you and staying quiet for a little while. It's so deflating when something goes wrong, it's easier to deal with it alone then tell people around you what's happened if you need support. They might say "you should have told me" but it's just nicer to keep it secret for the few weeks anyway

thank you @VictoriaBlossom. 4dp5dt is the equivalent of 9 DPO. We transferred 2 X 5 day embryos. My whole family is here this weekend so I am doing my best to not say anything. I just can’t deal with the pity when something goes wrong. My husband would prefer to kept in the dark until I at least get to the official test day. He isn’t a fan of the testing rollercoaster.

I love when it's a secret. Being around lots of family really reinforces how intimate it is between me and baby. Obviously I know you're protecting yourself but it's also nice to think like that.

Out of interest how long would/do you all wait before letting people know you're pregnant?

hello! 10dpo, BFN here but I'm not too surprised. I know 10dpo is early but I'm certain I'm not pregnant anyway, just not feeling it. Better luck next month I guess ☺️

@SmurfStar I waited until I'd had my 12wk scan with DS and had the results from the blood tests... But I might tell two close friends earlier this time on the basis that if things went wrong I'd be ok with them knowing. They both have 2 LOs already and we see each other every week.

I also waited til my 12 week scan, it timed well that I announced it on Christmas Day. It would work out the same now we would be 12 weeks at Christmas. I feel like I'd wait longer this time because I think people might judge us for getting pregnant so soon after having our daughter.

(That's if all stays well❤️)

For some reason I'm super anxious whereas first time I was ecstatic and never even considered anything negative
