@Everythingzrosie give it 2 days and test again you should get your definite answer then. But if you’ve loads of IC’s then try again tonight and then the morning and see if anything shows in the time frame it’s still early days but so don’t be disheartened.

Indianna2006 · 18/09/2022 16:53

@mummatara sounds like your levels are up there.

I’ve had a blighted ovum. An I certainly had very high HCG and it’s took 4 weeks to go negative on tests after I mc and everything was matching upto to being 13 weeks apart from fact it was empty. I’d been so sick as well. Bodies are very confusing sometimes. It’s all so technical this conception business. I’m amazed how many people have it go right for them everytime. It seems so unfair. But they did tell me it’s the sac which creates the symptoms not the embryo like people believe.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Not long to go now at all. You have done so well to hang on. Almost there! Basically just one more full day!

@MrsCristiano sorry your feeling crap about it

@Everythingzrosie I can see a tiny something if I squint but can’t tell if it’s an evap or not sorry.

Everythingzrosie · 18/09/2022 16:57

@Luna57 I’ve about 20 left so that should do it 😂 I’ve had a bfp at 9dpo before on internet cheapies so I’ve I get another line tomorrow then I will be happy and hope it gets stronger x

@Indianna2006 I had a blighted ovum too and they are the pits. Mine stopped growing at 6 weeks but decided to keep me pregnant for another month! I’ve felt so angry about it that I can’t grieve for what should have been. I’m so sorry it’s happened to you too x

Indianna2006 · 18/09/2022 17:03

@Everythingzrosie aw bless you. It was horrible. my blighted ovum was my first mmc and was prior to my DD so well over 6 years ago now. But I still remember it like yesterday as it was such a shock.

i never knew it existed. An I figured it would end earlier if there was an issue. My sac grew until 13 weeks. I was and looked 13 weeks pregnant. Had every symptom going the same. But the sac was just empty. An my placenta has fully formed as well. An it’s then my body realised an let it go.

it was no fun naturally miscarrying a 13 week pregnancy sac. It was horrendous. It was just such a shock that time. Just didn’t know any of that could happen an go on for so long. But alas. I am proof it is sometimes that fucked up!

i also felt funny griefing for a baby that basically didn’t really exist. Or not in my head. It was very bizarre. Of course it did. All them hopes were the same. But it was never actually really there. Felt like my body had played this awful trick on me for 13 weeks. It was awful.

MrsCristianoX · 18/09/2022 17:08

@Indianna2006 thanks lovely xx the good thing is I've no expectations anymore so I won't be as utterly distraught about AF arriving next cycle. No early testing im resolute about that x

@Luna57 I'm just going with the flow this month keeping half an eye on my OPKs. If we don't DTD at the right times I don't mind so this could be 'a break' for me. I won't be pinning him to the bed this month 😂 poor DH 🤣

MrsCristianoX · 18/09/2022 17:10

@Indianna2006 the blighted ovum sounds awful. You have an amazing amount of strength Xx

mummatara · 18/09/2022 17:23

I'm fully expecting it to be a blighted ovum despite my little sliver of clutching at straws 🙈 I just want to get on with sorting it so we can try for 3rd time lucky 🙄 I think they will want to wait a week to rescan before confirming though. I'm annoyed my body just hasn't recognised it but then it didn't last time so why I expect it to I don't know 🤷🏼‍♀️ it likes to just ef with my head. I was trying to decide last night what option to go for. I did surgical management last time which I would do again as it was so straightforward but I'm a bit worried about scarring though I haven't read into it properly yet

@mummatara for my mmc the consultants I had seemed quite against me having surgery… the risk of scarring really put me off

mummatara · 18/09/2022 18:06

@ChloeN oh really they just gave me the three options and asked me to choose I presume they will do the same. Tbf I didn't see a consultant until my surgery day. It was a nurse or maybe midwife that explained them all to me

ChloeN · 18/09/2022 18:18

@mummatara I saw a couple of different drs/consultants because I was in for medical management and it wasn’t working. The one I saw last basically said I could have surgery if I wanted but he’s not keen for it because I’m young and he wouldn’t want to risk scarring and then future fertility problems! I also had a nurse in the epu before I chose medical management keep saying that surgery can cause more issues down the line which is why I chose medical management in the first place really! I suppose it just depends on the drs and nurses you end up with on the day…

RaliaMusca · 18/09/2022 21:12

@mummatara I'm still keeping everything crossed for you. And that if it's the worst case scenario that you'll have a nice medical team to look after you and answer a your questions. I found that so important.

Any idea how soon after a negative pregnancy test post MC you can ovulate? I still had a faint positive the day before we went on holiday last week. Two days later my CM indicated ovulation but I didn't bring any OPKs. We DTD that night and the night after so hopefully caught it if it was O but I'm really not sure

Everythingzrosie · 19/09/2022 07:51

Is this a BFP straight after a MMC? I’ve not had an AF yet as MMC happened one month ago today.

@mummatara I've only been given a choice too with no indication that medical was risky. I asked a lot during my mmc about the risks and was confirmed to be extremely low. There are risks with everything we do, even having a natural so my advice would be for anyone to do what feels right for them. Your numbers are really high! I have everything crossed for you tomorrow and that you don't have to worry about the above 💕

@Everythingzrosie I'm not sure I can see anything but I'm in a dark room and it's early so my eyes are not quite functioning. It's not unusual to have HCG in your blood for a while following a miscarriage.

LS888 · 19/09/2022 08:27

I took the surgery option when I had my missed miscarriage. I too felt very pregnant due to the sack still growing but the baby had stopped at 7 weeks and I thought I was around 11. After another week of waiting nothing happened naturally and I couldn’t bare to wait any longer so I had surgery. It’s a hard choice to make but just do what is right for you. Sending lots of love.

ChloeN · 19/09/2022 09:01

@Everythingzrosie I can see a slight shadow on the first pic! Do you have any early tests? X

Everythingzrosie · 19/09/2022 09:07

@ChloeN These are 10miu same as frer. This is 2nd wee if the day. Will wait til Wednesday to do another if hcg is going to rise x

ChloeN · 19/09/2022 09:34

@Everythingzrosie fingers crossed it does!🤞🏻 did you track ovulation this month or anything? X

Everythingzrosie · 19/09/2022 09:37

@ChloeN only my cm and I get ovulation pain so I know exactly when I ovulate x

Indianna2006 · 19/09/2022 09:40

@mummatara Agree with what @bunnykins123 every option there is a risk of some sort.
first happened naturally. Last time I chose medical management. And honestly. It was awful. Awful awful. Then I needed more tablets as I had retained tissue. And it still didn’t work properly. So after 4 weeks of waiting! I then had surgery to remove the rest.

1000% I would pick surgery immediately if I was in that situation again. Pain free. No trauma of passing out and losing so much blood. There is small risks of scarring but it’s from multiple procedures more than likely. An the staff are very skilled at what they do. The risk of that is very small.

i found they try to steer you away from it as natural is cheaper for nhs and costs them less time. That’s pretty much it in a nutshell.

if it comes to it. You choose what feels best for you. But you don’t know any of that yet hun. one more day!! you can do it. An were all here.

Mariabombia · 19/09/2022 11:01

@mummatara sending you so much love and all the best for tomorrow xxx

Luna57 · 19/09/2022 12:07

@Everythingzrosie i think I can see a shadow of something. How many dpo are you?

Everythingzrosie · 19/09/2022 12:25

@Luna57 I’m 9dpo x

Cindy974 · 19/09/2022 13:13

Ive entered my fertile window. Only had one period since my MMC but fuck it I’m not waiting, gonna start trying again 🤞🏼😅

MrsCristianoX · 19/09/2022 14:19

@Cindy974 go for it!! When do you normally ovulate?

@Everythingzrosie I swear I see something pink now compared to the 7dpo one where I saw nothing 🤞🤞

Everythingzrosie · 19/09/2022 14:21

@MrsCristianoX thank you, it’s still so early so I’m hoping for a less of a squinter 😁
