Ew Scary sorry you think TEW is coming to get you. I won't even say Its not over until.........

I hope she does not arrive. Been speaking with DH and DM a little and going to try and chill a little

ScaryHairy · 17/02/2008 09:04

She's shown up now. I have Hotel chocolate mini slab in hand as I type...

What's wierd is that my luteal phase this month was 2 days shorter than normal. On the plus side it means I am going to get another go sooner than I otherwise would. The downside is that it makes it even more likely that DH will be away when I next ovulate (grrr). I think I will have acupuncture this month and see if that makes a difference. I'm also going to make DH take Zita West vitamins to ensure top notch swimmers!

Tapster · 17/02/2008 09:34

Oh dear Scary, however jealous of your Hotel Chocolat slab, I've been eyeing up the Easter catalogue.

BFN again this morning. Convinced heightened sense of smell has disappeared over the last couple of days and my moles have undarkened themselves!

A bit confused as some info on the internet says that pregnancy tests often don't work if you are still BFing others says it doesn't matter. Need to know asap if I'm pregnant as I need to change the drugs I take each day up to 12 weeks.

Will test again on Tuesday these BFN's put me in a bad mood.

GryffinGirl · 17/02/2008 11:41

hello everyone and welcome to newtoTTC.

Sorry I haven't been around much, but I had a day holiday on Friday, meetings all Thursday and the internet is broken at home, but I am in the office today, hence my being able to post here

Hope everyone is well, I have only had a little skim of the thread because everyone has been so busy posting, so hope I haven't missed anything or anybody

Bucky - sorry to hear that Finn is poorly. GET WELL SOON FINN! Also sorry to hear that the sexy doc wasting available for your examination

hatty - I am laughing at the toothpaste story! Poor you.

hello to everyone else and sorry for the BFN's and AF's that turned up. I am off to the doctors this week for a floow up and also we are waiting for DH's results (sperm test ones ). I found an article in The Guardian on saturday which deals with male infertility just incase it is bad news. I have hidden it for now from DH.

hello to to scary picknmix MOB MrsEi and the others - sorry to anyone missed.

JollyBear · 17/02/2008 14:04

Morning all,

GG Lovely to see you . I was wondering if your DH's results were back yet. Fingers crossed everything is OK. Mind you, my dad had a low sperm count and it took four years for my mum to fall pregnant with my brother but then I arrived 18 months after he was born.

bucky Hope Finn feels better soon. I always want to stay at home when my cats are poorly!

Sorry abot the BFNs tapster SH coolkat I know exactly what you mean about the BFP fantasies. AF has to be at full flow before I let those go for another month!

P&M Glad the house move went well!

MOB I make notes too! I've not told DH about MN I think he'll tease me!

I'm amused my my reputation for being so positive! I'm not always so upbeat honest but I do try to be a jolly bear!!

Anyway best be off, hello to anyone I've missed esp ei and mibbes! How are your temps mibbes?

mibbes · 17/02/2008 16:29

GG best of luck at the doc - when are DH's results due ?
Bucky poor Finn dog - a big "woof woof" get well soon xx
ScaryHairy so sorry she got you
coolkat well done for not testing today, all the best for tomorrow - have everything crossed for you xx
Sorry for BFN Tapster & newtottc. Fairy are you still spotting ? could it be imp bleed ?
JB HCB good to hear you are still chirpy ! My temp remained the same as yesterday which was a dip from the previous day - it is a nightmare trying to guess if that is a bad sign or no sign atall ! I have just compared with last chart and temps seem lower - wish I hadn't looked now. I really like the insight temping gives me but it does cause me to try to analyse every temp too much - just have to chill, only 9dpo today.

Am now officially bored of having nothing to report so have a few "clutching at straws" symptoms. I had a wee bit of constipation this morning, am definitely very tired in the evenings, I burst into tears over a very small thing yesterday, have been a bit short tempered in general and a spot appeared on my chin yesterday (usually have a clear skin). Having said that I have had spots before and have never been PG before so was probably just due a zit ! I also had sore boobs last night after a lot of prodding !!! I am finding the 2ww website great for conjuring up new symptoms - tomorrow I aim to encourage heartburn and dehydration !

JollyBear · 17/02/2008 16:58

mibbes Try not to worry about the temps too much, easier said than done I know! When I first started temping I'm sure I was having a fretful nights sleep wondering if my temp would have risen in the morning . If it helps mine looked really good - dip on 7DPO, high temps which got higher but still no BFP! If yours are different from your last cycle then that should be good IYSWIM?!

By the way MOB LOL at the idea of Mr Jollybear and I getting it on in the hospital toilets! I'll try and keep myself composed until we get home

Less than 2 weeks to go till the scan now, my egg had better not come early this cycle

twinklingfairy · 17/02/2008 18:14

Can you get implantation as far on as 12dpo?
My temps are way lower and have had absolutely nothing to watch in my knickers today
And, I know I said I wouldn't test but BFN this am.
How long after implantation (if that is what it is) should you test?

What is going on?

When you have an anovulatory cycle, does that mean little or no AF?
I am wondering if the UTI has stopped me from ovulating at all, therefore no AF?
Cos I had no clear sign of ovulation cept temps and FF saying so (ran out of opks, no EWCM when I norm have a couple of days, and no ov pains)

I have had fleeting cramps on CD10 and yesterday. Now on cd12.

och, this is just poo.

Someone else is going through this aren't they? Sorry I forget who, help hold my hand!

coolkat · 17/02/2008 18:22

Oh TF I am not much of an expert in these areas but I will happily sit here with you until someone useful comes along.

I still no AF am going to test in the morning as today felt sick a bit and although there is a bug going round my mind is working over time. Probably be a BFN and put me in a bad mood for work but there you go, I was going to be in a bad mood anyway as just had a week off!!

LOL at Mibbles trying to make symptoms appear!!

Nice to see you GG, I hope your rsults come back soon and everything is ok for you. X

Hi to everyone else, Bucky sorry to hear about Finn, Poor Pooch. X

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 17/02/2008 19:44

evening girls
hope you are all ok on this most fine sunday evening
welcome to newtoTTC scary sorry TEW got you i hope you dont feel too down xx ive still got some chocs if you want some when you have finished your hotel chocolat slab BTW
TF CK tapster sorry about the BFNs testing too early is a bit confusing...deffo test in a few days time
GG hi nice to 'see' you
mibbes PMSL at the inventing heartburn your symptoms do sound positive to me though i hope it is your month and then at least my dreams can start focussing on someone else (they kinda did already going by the v. v. weird one i had last night there was a woman in it with a man i am assuming is her DH/DP and i kept saying to her your mad you are im assuming it was MOB as i dont know who else it could be i will keep you guys posted if there are any more (dya think i should start an online fortune telling buisness?? 50% hit rate at the mo until mibbes does her test and gets her BFP this month and then it will be 100%)
hope everyone else is ok
xx ei xx

ScaryHairy · 17/02/2008 19:47

TF I have read that it takes a couple of days for HCG to show up in urine. So if a little bean implanted today you should wait until Tues to test.
Hope it works out for you.
xx

mibbes · 17/02/2008 20:45

TF I thought I'd read it can take up to 4 days for HCG levels to be detected but I remember when I read that I thought it was probably being on the safe side as some of our graduates seem to get BFPs more quickly than that after suspected imp - so SH is probably right. Goodness knows where I read all this ttc guff I seem to have stored away ! If only I could rememebr work info as readily ! Am like a sponge when I read anything remotley ttc related

mibbes · 17/02/2008 21:27

Ei am loving your optimism on behalf of my BFP ! I should try and adopt the same positive mental attitude

The trouble is a trace of spotting/a tinged wipe appeared and it looks like my usual pre-AF spotting has started a day early (bloody VitB6 may not have worked) - am trying to stay positive though

twinklingfairy · 18/02/2008 01:02

damn darn, damn it!!
AF turned up this evening
I should never have got my hopes up, I knew she was on her way and yet I still managed to convince myself, for the second month, that she would stay away(with me)
Ah well, onwards.
Will see how I feel in a few days, but am now saying to DH that 2.5 years between LO's will be ok. I really wanted a nice neat 2yrs, but hey, it's clearly not up to me The big man has a plan I guess I will just have to wait a bit and see what it is.

Did someone say earlier, my mum says it all the time too, whits fur ye will nea go by ye.
hohum

mibbes · 18/02/2008 01:10

aahh Fairy that is rubbish , it was me who said that, a good old Scottish saying I think. You sound remarkably ok about it, quite philisophical almost... Feel free to come on here and rant until the cows come home though missus xx

JollyBear · 18/02/2008 09:31

Morning all,

mibbes HCB I hope that spotting has stopped. Is your temp still high?

TF Sorry to hear AF has arrived. If you had an anovulatory cycle then your AF arrives as normal I think. Has this cycle been a long one as that makes an anovulatory cycle more likely apparently?

Hello ei, keep having those dreams! Let me know if they feature a cheerful bear!

Any news coolkat?

Hello to MOB, Bucky, GG, hattyy, SH, Tapster, and anyone I've forgotton!!

scully · 18/02/2008 10:53

Hiya everyone, have been playing catch up on posts since Friday, so can't remember a lot of what has been said
Sorry to those who have had AF arrive.
Who is next to test?
Nothing new to report here, AF is due for me on around 26/2, so a week tomorrow. I'm a bit useless on the symptom spotting bit, sore boobs still but think that is because I've not long ovulated. Who knows
Actually trying not to think about it all too much, especially with my due date supposed to be next week, from the Aug m/c.
Can't remember who mentioned about not trying next month, because of a Dec due date. Know what you mean, as dd2's b'day is Xmas day , she was 8 days late. I've already thought about it though and if we conceived next month then my due date would be around 5/12 and I'd be willing to risk that, at least I wouldn't get Xmas day again
Hi to everyone

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 18/02/2008 12:19

afternoon ladies
TF AF is a cow sometimes...ok all the time i have my fingers and toes crossed (not my legs though sorry) for you this month xx
mibbes im not going to say the its not over...comment but you know its true and you never know... either way you still have 6 days of symptom spotting before you will know properly so get a watch out for those symptoms
to everyone else scully GG MOB scary MTW (hows you??) hatty CK bucky DG&bean...anyone ive missed??
xx ei xx

mibbes · 18/02/2008 13:45

JB I'm afraid temp has been gradually falling each day and spotting continues
Ei thanks for your optimism but I'm afraid mine has gone now as this is definitely my usual pre-AF 'spot-athon'. It usually lasts 5-6 days so a few more days before I can even get back to CD1 . I am going to see the doc about my pre-AF spotting as I believe 1 or 2 days is fine but 5-6 can apparently be a bad sign Had really hoped Vit B6 may help but looks like it hasn't - it will probably just delay AF even further grrrr...
Anyway, enough moaning - on the upside I save a fortune on HPTs as am never late due to stupid spotting and I had great fun reading some of those mad posts on the 2ww website and making up my own
Anyone got any good news to report ?

JollyBear · 18/02/2008 14:00

mibbes I'm sorry HCB . Maybe the B6 takes a while to kick in? It is an improvement on your AWOL AF last cycle though IYSWIM? I hope your Dr is helpful.

hattyyellow · 18/02/2008 14:35

(((Mibbes))) sorry to hear AF on way

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 18/02/2008 14:39

hi there hatty not seen you round much you ok??
xx ei xx

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 18/02/2008 14:48

sooo i have just popped to the loo and when i sat down(TMI sorry) there was a bit of blood on my knickers and a bit more when i wiped i had a sharp pain earlier on today aswell quite low down and to the left what dya reckon?? could it be Ov related?? im only on CD9/10 so it is a bit early for me as usually i get my period around CD 30 which means i reckon i Ov about CD16 or so i think i need to invest in som OPKs cos this is driving me mad with all the guessing!! last month was the same with the ?symptoms starting around CD8
xx ei xx

hattyyellow · 18/02/2008 14:49

hey there ei am good thanks!

Trying to count my blessings and concentrate on my beautiful twin daughters and building up my business rather than thinking about ttcing..

Starting to make plans presuming I won't be pregnant at whatever point in the future, not in a negative way, just in a pragmatic way..

Having said that, if you could fit a blonde mum with twin girls into your pregnancy dreams I'd be delighted!

Hope this month brings you good news and the pattering of tiny feet

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 18/02/2008 14:53

ah hatty that sounds very sensible and philosophical of you towards TTC im still in the 'must try not to obsess-obsessive phase' i hope to be philosophical about it all myself but its not happening in my mind just yet
xx ei xx
