Morning, Well AF not here yet. Today I have got pains in my left side, they are like internal, tugging, poking and pulling. I am convinced its AF starting her journey I am also very tired and have a head ache. Had to take DD to the dentist today (3rd attempt)and it was so hot in there felt sick however DD was a star and finally let him in her mouth!!

Oufton I am with you on waiting til AF due as if it was BFN it is horrible and there still could be a chance IYSWIM, having said that I put myself through it every month but I am going to try not to test early ever again Nah test whenever!!!

Mibbles looking good, when are you due? when are you testing. Good luck. X

Hello Tapster, I do not think that we have met. Good luck with testing.

Ei can we add headache to the list, my head is banging today and I had a really horrible dream last night that we were at a family gathering and my uncle was being attacked by a dog and then more dogs arrived and we were fighting them off. Horrible dream most strange.

Hi to anyone I have missed. X

Oufton · 15/02/2008 12:22

Thanks NOAM it's not actually strong-willed I just don't have any in and am going nowhere near shops that sell them until then - if I had 3 cb tests in the house I'd be doing one right now so I'm not that good! I've just been reading 2ww.com to try and help me make up more symptoms but sadly just got too depressed at the number of stories that started "this was our first cycle and I'm pregnant!", humpf. It's making me very grumpy (ooohh is that a symptom perhaps ?)

Oufton · 15/02/2008 12:24

oooh Coolkat that definitely sounds like a lot of the symptoms on 2ww.com, lots of people describe tugging and pulling, I have very high hopes for you - when are you actually due for AF?

Mibbes good luck with any weekend testing. x

coolkat · 15/02/2008 12:29

Well 30 days since day 1 today. Not sure how long to wait and not sure how long cycles are. Sorry for being Vague, I got pregnant in November and did not really count my cycle when I came off of the pill as I was quite chilled about it and then M/C, had one AF following MC and that took 7 weeks so its anyones guess at the minute. Sorry for the ramble.

Oufton · 15/02/2008 12:34

oh that must be frustrating coolcat I hope you find out one way or the other soon. x

mibbes · 15/02/2008 15:01

JB HCB you are truly an inspiration being so positive so soon after AF got you. On the other hand I suppose the super-long cycle has meant that you can have scan over with before ov and don't have to miss a month - hurray ! That has worked out quite well in the end (although BFP would have been far preferable)

Oufton I totally understand how you feel - I have been full of optimisim until yesterday when it suddenly dawned on me that I'm potentially heading for another big fat fall, so need to keep myself in check as have absolutely no good reason to this am PG - like you say post-ov is exciting but the lead up to testing gets nerve-wracking - am only 7dpo but still starting to dread the fall.

coolkat that sounds very promising to me - didn't you have spotting the other day ? Good luck

Am not testing until next weekend - am planning to be late before I test as was so gutted last month - was totally convinced was PG then BFN

JollyBear · 15/02/2008 15:20

Afternoon all,

mibbes it is exactly that logic which has meant I'm not down in the dumps about my AF! Obviously a BFP would have been better but hopefully I won't have to sit on the symptom spotting sidelines for this cycle.

oufton Have a bucket of positive attitude from me....

re testing, I did test early, 11DPO... then 15 DPO... then decided to wait and sure enough AF arrived. TBH I preferred feeling that I could be pregnant than seeing a BFN IFSWIM. That said, I obviously tested anyway... twice!! I'm hoping to have more willpower next time.

Good luck to all those waiting to test esp my HCB mibbes oufton tapster and coolkat

Have a good weekend all!!

lou2311 · 15/02/2008 15:54

Hi everyone,
hi Ei, thank goodness AF has finished now, but was sorely disappointed on the BD'ing for fun last night...
Had a lovely meal, champagne, sat on the sofa and cuddled, DH was def up for it until..
We got up to bed and when I came out of the bathroom (only cleaned my teeth as primped and bathed earlier) he was ASLEEP!!!
was very unimpressed so woke him up and he said 'sorry -can we do it in the morning?'
I had even shaved my legs! LOL
so said 'no - i dont want to do it in the morning' and fumed to myself while he dozed off again.
anyway - very he was very sheepish this morning... love him dearly but GRRRRR!

I sound like a right moose dont I!

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 15/02/2008 15:57

hello again
JB it is lovely to see you so positive when is your scan?? i bet you will get the 'all clear' and then you will have to BD to celebrate and then you will get your BFP!!
welcome tapster make yourself comfy and give us your symptoms BTW smelling a fish shop and feeiling a bit queasy is defo a symptom
coolkat i had AWFUL headaches in early preg with DD so i would defo count that one too and strange dreams are a preggy symptom aswell ooooh sounds promising for you lady when are you testing??
hi to everyone else
xx ei xx

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 15/02/2008 15:58

not at all lou my DH was asleep on the couch by 9pm so i stuck around on here
xx ei xx

coolkat · 15/02/2008 17:27

Hi Ei

I don't know when to test, I may leave it a few days as really uncomfortable pains in my left side so even if I did get a BFP I would be thinking its the start of a M/C again IYSWIM. AF might come soon.

As for DP's falling asleep mine was sound off last night although he did have an early start today Lazy Git I tell ya!

Sorry for ME post. X

ScaryHairy · 15/02/2008 17:40

Excellent symptom spotting from Ei, Noam and Mibbes - showing the rest of us how it's done!

Welcome Tapster and best of luck with your test.

V impressed with your wilpower Oufton. I usually pee on every test I can lay my hands on from very early on. Purely in the interests of science, you understand.

Hope you get to TTC this cycle JB. I'm sure you'll get the all clear.

CK - horrid dreams must be a symptom, I'm sure. You're very good to not test just yet (better than me...)

DG nice to see you. I think we are going to the East coast too, to somewhere recommended as "child friendly" so my DD gets to have a nice time and see some other children. If we have another baby we'll never be able to afford nice holidays again so may as well enjoy ourselves now!

Lou sounds like a waste of shaved legs to me. Perhaps your DH will make up for it by being extra enthusiatic today...?

I'm 10dpo and did a test this morning - BFN, so no surprise there BUT then today I have had some funny sharpish feelings in my lower abdomen this morning and a tiny wee bit of blood mixed in cm this afternoon. Am obviously now getting my hopes back up (not terribly clever). It could just be the start of AF a few days early and who knows I might spot every month but it is just only now I have started scrutinising my loo roll quite so closely! will test again in a couple of days and see...

twinklingfairy · 15/02/2008 17:57

I haven't read very much today, but I am feeling too self obbsessed anyway
Spotting today and I just know that AF is going to arrive with full force this evening or tommorrow
I told you I wanted to stay in the cream puff corner

Really think that is it for DH and I for a while. I just don't want a baby so close to Christmas. November and January are just too close for me. So that is us out for at least 3 months I have told DH that he is not getting any until his birthday now, cos I am so fed up with it all. His birthday is in April. Then we will have 2 more months before I am going to the doc to shout at him to not tell me to go away and stop trying so hard, don't you know that is is when you are not trying that you will concieve

Harumf!

twinklingfairy · 15/02/2008 18:06

Just had a read through. JB you are fab, but I still can't pull myself out of this one. I will be ok in a couple of days, when I will decide that a November baby would just be lovely but for now i am thouroughly fed up.
DD is struggling with a head cold and teething so her being out of sorts is not helped by AF turning up. Was about 5.30 this morn before I finally fell asleep. I had taken her in with me and she snores I didn't know how bad cos she has never slept a whole night with us (we norm put her back in her own bed once she is sleeping) Mind you a horrid runny nose did not help her snoring

sigh, oh woe is me

coolkat · 15/02/2008 18:17

TF sorry to hear about AF. I hope your DD feels better soon and you get your sleep. Don't be giving up, I am sure you will feel better in a couple of days.

Oufton · 15/02/2008 18:57

Poor TF, I'll allow you to flounce and wallow in the corner just for this evening but after that you must channel JB and get back on it. She threw me a big bucketful of positivity today, I'm sure she could sprinkle some your way!

I do know what you mean about the months off though, if I don't get a BFP this month I've said we're not trying next month because I don't want a Dec baby and also it's my birthday and it would be too cruel to be off the booze and in the 2ww on my happy day!

Hope everyone has a good weekend, esp anyone testing, huge fingers crossed for some BFPs on Monday. x

PicknMix · 15/02/2008 19:24

Hiya!!!!

I'm back online - yay!!

Haven't had time to catch up yet (the thread has grown LOADS since I was last on here!) so will catch up and then get back to you.

Just to be a bit me me me for a sec - house move has gone well and we're pretty much settled now (still a few boxes to unpack!). I'm expecting af to arrive tomorrow or Sunday. My temps went right down this morning and I've done quite a few hpts that have all been negative. I've concocted that many symptoms this month - I needed you guys these last few days! So I am resigned to starting cycle 8 in a few days

Anywho, back soon xx

ScaryHairy · 15/02/2008 19:28

Oh TF, you do found fed up .
Go easy on yourself, have a large G&T and maybe a cream cake. I'm sure it will look a bit better once you had some rest.

Welcome back PicknMix. I'm glad the move went well, but sorry about AF coming soon. Mine is on the way too, I think. Grrr. She really is an evil old cow.

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 15/02/2008 20:04

oh TF sorry that you are feeling so down AF is a bitch there you go that might help a bit xx

madoldbird · 15/02/2008 20:21

Good evening everyone

mibbes wow - that site you mentioned yesterday is great for all us obsessives!! I did laugh at one of them saying that she had yawned 83 times in an afternoon. Firstly - who counts how many times they yawn? Secondly, if yawning that much is a symptom, then i've been pregnant for years!!! Good luck with your resolve not to test until next weekend.

Bucky Thank you for the welcome back. I'm so pleased to hear that the GP is being helpful. That's such good news. Hope you managed to have your romantic Valentine's day!

treats are you still testing tomorrow? Hope it goes well.

Hi fp good to see you. Loads of EWCM is always a good thing!

oufton sorry to hear you sounding so down this morning. I hope you are feeling a bit brighter now.

dg nice to see you. How are you feeling? Has the ms etc started yet?

JB thank you also for the welcome back! Not long now until your scan. Make sure you get BDing straightaway after!!! (I now have visions of JB and MrJB in the hospital loos...)

coolkat you certainly have a good array of symptoms!

lou2311 I laughed at your description of your DH!! Mine was pretty much the same - really up for it until the moment his head hit the pillow!

scaryhairy the spotting sounds good - and if that is implantation, then you wouldn't have had a BFP yet, anyway, so i think as far as your concerned, we will discount the BFN, and continue with the symptom spotting... if that's ok with you, that is...

Twinklingfairy i am so so sorry to hear you sounding so fed-up, feel free to stomp about here as much as you like. (Do fairies "stomp"???) TTC is such an emotional rollercoaster, do look after yourself, and remember that we are here to listen.

picknmix great to see you, i am so pleased that your move went well. Sorry for the BFN's. Enjoy your new house, and i hope AF doesn't know that you have moved!!!

hattyyellow & ei i laughed at your stories!!! Always good to hear something to cheer us all up.

Hello to any one i have missed.

Well, i finally got my on my OPK this morning, on CD16, rather late for me. Sometimes i have them for 2 or 3 days, so i'll carry on testing. Can start symptom spotting next week!!! I'm rather worried, though, that i may have pickled my egg, after all the champagne i had last night...

coolkat · 15/02/2008 20:24

Wow MOB I am impressed with your post!! That must have taken ages.

ScaryHairy · 15/02/2008 20:25

Am always up for symptom spotting MOB. I've got a bit of a cough... there's no way that could be a symptom is there?

madoldbird · 15/02/2008 20:26

I jot down notes as i read through to catch up with the posts. (Am i the only one mad enough to do that?!) Also, DH is out and i an left to my own devices

madoldbird · 15/02/2008 20:27

Scary coughing - definitely!!! I've got one of those!!!!
