Hello Ladies. I've been lurking for a while and wondered if I could join you? We were going to actively ttc but DH is being threatened with redundancy so we are just not doing anything to prevent me getting pg. Mind you, that's how I got pg last time I guess you could say that according to DH we are not ttc

Anyway, I'm on cycle 1 (after 1st AF since having DD) and currently CD26. I think that I'm about 15dpo but BFing DD can do interesting things to CM and has left me guessing a bit. I was absolutely convinced that I was pg a few days ago but now I think that I'm so tired that the symptoms I have are almost entirely due to extreme exhaustion and the imminent onset of AF. Am fed up of waiting for AF to come though as I've had cramps for a week already

MrsEi25 · 08/02/2008 21:40

hi and welcome swaliswan how exciting you are already TTC (sort of) after recently having your DD how old is she?? i have a DD who is 2.1yo we are a frindly bunch on here and we say that no symptoms is a symptom so its sort of free game on here!! grab a cuppa, put your feet up and join in for a chat

DD is 8.5mo so I know that it isn't going to be a long gap between DC's if I were to conceive straight away but that is how we would like it. I was told that we would probably have to have some help to conceive but to go away and try for 12 months first. Then DD was conceived on the first cycle and we weren't even 'trying' Our GP blames it on DH being about to go away to Iraq at the time. Apparently something to do with the impending separation does something to a bloke's hormones. I don't suppose it had anything to do with all that BDing you do when you know that you aren't going to get any for six months

Bucky2008 · 08/02/2008 21:55

Yay for digibean and dg. Ha but I knew it was all ok, you ask GG...I am psychic . That is really great though and very exciting.

MrsEi You should have done that trick to you doctor....the one where you say in a surprised voice "ooh doctor I forgot I have something to give you", then you reach into your handbag and pull out your hand and give him the finger....LOL hahaha stupid ignoranus doctor. Hope he gets a UTI and has to have a big stick shoved up his dick. Ooh I am feeling very feisty tonight and quite spiteful...well, to mean doctors anyway. Hee hee. . Do you have a surgery where you can go and see a different doctor? I do and there is one totally gorgeous doctor (very George Clooney) Dr Brownfield...that all the ladeez frequent. Ahhh, just looking at him makes you need a lesson on how to examine your breasts .

I didn't buy any decent tests today. I will have to get one tomorrow cos my ebay cheapies are rubbish peices of paper. . I hate to say this but I am not hopeful for this month though. I have had indigestion for two days now but that could be something to with the terrible diet I have been consuming. I really should go back to the reflexologist because it made me be abit good at least recording my food.

Where is everyone?? Hatty? PicknMix? GG? Fairy?

MrsEi25 · 08/02/2008 22:02

hi bucky PMSL at the doc having a stick put in his widgie i was wishing scabies and syphallis on him myself but yours sounds really interesting ditto on the not too hopeful front i am convinced it will be next month and i am out this month but only time (and HPTs) will tell
swaliswan if you dont mind me asking how come you have been told you will have trouble concieving?? my doc said he wouldnt be surprised if i got preg straight away even though it took nearly a year to concieve DD i havent had any adverse health issues relating to TTC or anything though.

OMG mrsei how has that locum made me feel? To actually roll his eyes at you!?

My surgery quite often has a locum in place of a doc. My experience has always been positive. In fact it was the locum who took my HG (extreme MS, what is the abbreviation again?) seriously and sent me to hospital. The main doctor, and I don't go to her anymore, just told me that I was doing fine and smiled about it.
Found out afterward that people get anti-sickness drugs if they are sick more than 2-3 times. I was hourly, and being told that I was 'doing fine'!!
I thank god for my mum and that locum.

Actually, come to think on it, my docs isn't very good is it?
One has no clue about pregnancy (due to never having gone through it), shook like a leaf when she had to do DD's jabs at 3mo and totally freaked out when she accidentally took some retained placenta out when doing my after birth check up and the other is incredibly judgmental. Although, I do think he is a nice, older, man really. Just trying to make you think more about your health I guess

So they have left you with a UTI, and a bad back, have they mrsei?

twinklingfairy · 08/02/2008 22:14

LOL at the breast examination bucky
My dentist is of that ilk. I was 8 months pregnant when I saw him for the first time, then he spoke, in a soft kiwi accent,....swooon
seeven, ooh how lovely.

Hello swaliswan I don't have any advice but thought I would say hi. I know a lady who got pregnant on her first try on her first AF whilst BF her DD, so I hope it all goes well for you too, if that is what you want. I, on the other hand, did not get pregnant on my first go whilst BF my DD. And still haven't got my BFP 7 months later. Not that I am bitter, moi??

Have I said yoohoo weehay to DG and her digibean yet?
Well, YooHoo, Yeeha! Sooo pleased that it has gone well. I know a lady who had heavy bleeds with both her DD's and the pregnancy went on perfectly fine afterwards. Scared the life out of her, more so the second time, but she has 2 beautiful little girls now so all ended well

I am in a chatty mood tonight amn't I?!

MrsEi25 · 08/02/2008 22:31

TF yep thats the gist of it really the usual dr (thur and fri) is really good and listens to you but the earlier week dr is poo and literally laughed in my face when i told her about my...ahem...serial diarrhea/constipation bowel troubles (i have IBS apparantly!!) she actually went "snort hahahahaha" so i told her to shove it and walked out!! i felt the same with this locum today and my face was burning as i was walking out to my sis and DD in the waiting room!! so much so that my sis thought he had told me i was seriously ill
ah well at least i know im not alone in the GP-hating club!!
how are you doing today TF???...after my mammoth me-fest rambling!!
xx ei xx

OP posts:
twinklingfairy · 08/02/2008 22:46

eh,no, that was not a mammoth ramble, have you seen my 2 rambles, not even content to just post once, no I posted twice!!
People have tried to contend with my title of fairy the great rambler but none have succeeded

I am fine, DH away at mo, so feelin a bit more tired cos of having to do it all alone. But TBH all I miss is his cooking dinner(as regards looking after DD, obv I miss him just cos) Men, they try but really, we do most of the work don't we girls?

My right boob is a little sore now and again.
Can it be a symptom, please, pretty please!!
Still leaking (if I try) but then a friend told me today that hers do too and she is not TTC and stopped feeding before me. So looks like it is not really a symptom.

MrsEi25 · 08/02/2008 22:52

TF do you keep prodding your (.)(.)'s?? if so they could be a bit sore cos of that TBH i dont pay any attention to my boobie pain as i have figured out that i have this anyway so if you dont usually have sore boobs then it might be a symptom for you fingers crossed!! when are you ready to test??

oh lordy, not for Aaaages!
FF says I am only 4dpo, LP is norm 11 days, so between my belief that I ov'd on CD17 and FF saying CD19, and the UTI messing everything up, I guess I can test in 6-7 days And I really ought to leave it until later.
See! Aaaaages!!
Boobs feel like they are swelling as I sit here. No, I am not prodding them!!

MrsEi25 · 08/02/2008 23:10

ok i believe you 1000's wouldnt LOL at the boobs swelling...didnt jordan pay a fortune to have hers inflateable?? LOL

ei I was told that I would have problems becuse I'd been diagnosed with PCOS. My first pg ended in a mc and then my periods didn't return. A blood test to confirm that I wasn't ovulating along with other symptoms and a scan confirmed PCOS. But, they refused to treat me as I was slim. We were told to go away and try for a year although if we wanted we could be prescribed clomid after six months trying. I didn't expect to get pg last time as I had assumed that I wouldn't be ov about day 12-14 in my cycle if at all. We were going to wait until DH was back from Iraq to officially try but in the meantime we were just going to enjoy ourselves. I only did an HPT to prove to myself that my vague symptoms were because AF was on her way. Imagine my surprise when a cross appeared in the window!

Goodness knows what is going to happen this time. I was so pleased when my AF returned as it meaned that I must have ov and that we could ttc DC2. I hadn't really thought about how the 2ww part was going to make me feel. I have got so many symptoms but I don't think that I am pg and that makes me feel

scully · 09/02/2008 12:39

Bucky, like the sound of your gp Does he realise you will get violent if his diagnosis' aren't correct
Don't like the sound of yours though EI
Stopped feeling your boobs yet TF??
Hello Swaliswan, welcome, there's lots of useful waffle on this thread
Hot here again today, spent the day with the dd's at a birthday pool party for a friend of dd1. Tough life I know

Bucky2008 · 09/02/2008 16:11

Well, I have a big night out tonight, so I tested. No surprise here I am afraid, BFN . AF due tomorrow and I am 11 dpo so I am thinking its pretty accurate. Think I may have to pay a visit to the doctor.. Good luck to everyone else testing.

Bucky2008 · 09/02/2008 16:13

Actually given my last comment maybe that should be....

'think i have to a pay a visit to doctor [smile['

rather than

'think i have to pay a visit to the doctor '

I feel a breast examination coming on

mibbes · 09/02/2008 17:24

Bucky so sorry you got BFN, but as you know it's not over until TEW shows.. Did you use FMU ? Don't give up all hope, but you have the green light to have far too many gins tonight and I suppose a wee breast exam by Doctor Gorgeous will take your mind off it if AF does come. > mibbes xx

twinklingfairy · 09/02/2008 18:18

I haven't actually been feeling my (.)(.)'s at all!!
In that my hands have not prodded them into submission, they are doing it on their own

oh dear, methinks the lady doth protest too much?
and she isn't really making any sense

ah so sorry bucky but, as mibbes says, enjoy your night guilt free. Not that that is great compensation, we all understand, but you gotta get something out of these rotten old BFN's, eh?

We were up until ridiculous hours scully!! mrsei was worse than me though, And she was sneaking around filling fridges with delicious donoughts!! I still have some left, anyone fancy one before their dinner?

GryffinGirl · 09/02/2008 20:00

hello everyone. Got stuck in an 11.5 hour meeting yesterday with only toilet breaks to relieve the monotony, so no MN for me on Friday .

I'm so sorry to hear that you got a BFN Bucky. Go to the doctor and make sure you get a good looking one . i suppose that means a guilt free gin tonight

hello to swaliswan - i don't think we have "met" before .

digitalgirl - we knew your little digi-bean was a sticker , Bucky is pyschic. She reads tea leaves and everything. That is absolutely brilliant news and LOL at you going into strict mum mode already at 7+3

Hi to MrsEi, mibbes, hatty, scully, jollybear and the rest of the 2WW-ers.

Good luck for tomorrow Ei. (and pass me the pud while you're at it. After a month the low carb diet bit the dust, but then I have lost 4 kg so it is not all bad).
Sorry to hear about BFN Bucky, but at least you can enjoy a guilt-free drink.
Hi Swaliswan - it's nice to meet you.

MrsEi25 · 09/02/2008 22:59

thanx scary the pud is yours if you want it ( i did a test before and BFN but i will do another in the morn with FMU and see what that is)

Low carb diet, don't think I could manage that. I actually just need to drink less white wine/champers, that's my main problem
Well cd14 today and dh and I have been very slack the last 2 nights and haven't done anything except sleep So have to make up for that tonight/tomorrow/Tues. Got 1st positive for the month with an opk this morning so hopefully we aren't too late? What do you all knowledgeable ladies think? Did you do another test EI? Sorry you got a bfn Bucky, hope you enjoyed your night out though.

scully · 10/02/2008 01:11

Should probably have added to that last comment, that with my previous 3 pregnancies, I used an online ovulation calendar to get an idea of my fertile days, and it was accurate all 3 times, but every time we conceived, dh and I only managed once, at the end of the date range we were given (yes, there's a pattern of slackness emerging )
Is this anything to take notice of? (the timing, not the slackness )
Scully goes off to continue talking to herself, whilst the rest of you sleep
