Hi all,

There doesn't seem to be a thread for TTC whilst breastfeeding, so I thought that I'd start one. All welcome to jump aboard if that's your journey too, or offer tips and insights if you've managed to conceive whilst feeding a young one.

And yes 8 teeth at once was a lot! But in a way was good to get such a big chunk done at once. The next ones along are about to start making an appearance too! My poor nipples 😛 x

Yes, good way to look at it, getting them through at the same time! I feel you on the nipple score, sometimes mine feel like they are hanging off!! Painful. 🥴

I’ve just ordered some new vitamins to start. On Boots branded one at the moment but hoping these new ones will be better quality. 😀

Morning @Elfy11, the vitamins I ordered are Zita West Omega 3 capsules and Pregna-Plan Pregnancy Multivitamin by Cytoplan both of these products are for fertility, pregnancy and breastfeeding x

@ZoomiesCat thanks for checking in. I'm still a hormonal mess with noAF in sight 😭 have taken another test just to prove to myself that I'm not pregnant! The only time I've been this all over the place is early pregnancy! How are you doing? X

Yeah I'm all good, think cd 15, haven't ovulated yet, think I will probably around cd 18 based on the last two cycles 🤞 although we've had a lot of teething going on here so lo has been attached to me all night most nights 😅 Really hoping luteal phase is longer this month, and would ideally like ovulation to come forward a bit, but I guess the most important thing is luteal phase. I think we are going to start properly TTC after the next whole cycle so really wanting to be in the best position and not be worrying about whether implantation isn't happening properly because of short luteal phase or low progesterone. I might try seed cycling next month again if needs be 🤞

@Elfy11 oh no sorry to hear that. I found the months leading up to my cycles returning were a real killer with hormones going everywhere. I hadn't twigged that it was my hormones though. I hope you have some relief soon.

I'm doing okay thanks. Hoping luteal phase this month increases, but we'll see as not feeling massively positive for some reason.

@Elfy11 i have started taking them yes. They have made my wee bright yellow! Hoping that doesn’t mean anything bad. They smell quite strong too compared to the Boots brand vitamins I was taking. No period for you yet?! Yikes. Keep testing every few days! I bet you have spent a fortune on tests already! 🥴 Nothing worse than not getting any answers! Hopefully you will know either way very soon 🤗

@ZoomiesCat i am CD 15 too! My periods started back last month and I only had 6 days between ovulation and my period starting last month so hoping it will be longer this time!! I haven’t ovulated yet either. I feel when I do, and it definitely hasn’t happened so far but I would predict it would be in the next 24 hours if it does! My little one is cutting her two top teeth at tye jibutes so she’s been glued to me most of the night for the past week! Xx

@Clairey332 yellow wee sounds exciting 😂 hope your wee one gets on okay with her teeth. Once our daughters first broke through the next seven just sort of appeared quite quickly! Wasn't too awful an experience compared to some I've heard. Fingers crossed it wont be too rough on her (and you! ) x

Hi @Elfy11, any sign of AF yet?! Must be really frustrating! Any symptoms of anything either way? Yes, the teeth hopefully will come thick and fast and we will get it out the way ASAP! All of my children have suffered with teething! 🥴

Think I am out this month. Was predicted to ovulate Saturday just gone but nothing. I had lots of EWCM but haven’t had any pains. So obvious when it does happen as the pain is awful.

@Clairey332 no AF yet! Been a bit crampy but nothing so far. Just trying to forget about it and maybe she'll appear... really difficult though as I keep seeing tiny babies everywhere and it's making me so broody 😂

@Elfy11 sorry about the late reply! Has AF appeared for you now? Do you use a fertility App to track everything? I’ve been using Clue, which I’ve used in the past but it predicted that I would ovulate 3 weeks after my period 🤔 which hasn’t happened but maybe it’s because I started AF 6 days after I ovulated?! Confusing. X

@Clairey332 still nothing. Feel crap today so really hoping I can blame it on AF 😂
I've not bothered with an app yet as I don't really have any info to add! I did do a couple ovulation tests 2 weeks ago which were really dark but not quite as dark as test line and did another today which was very pale... so hormones definitely doing things?! I used Flo before but it doesn't do BBT and I think I'll start tracking that and see if there's a noticeable pattern.
It is all so confusing! Hope things become clearer for you this month and that your cycle gets back into its normal rhythm.

I ended up ovulating cd 22 this cycle, was starting to think maybe it was going to be an anovulatory cycle. Hoping period holds off for a week + now 🤞

I still haven’t ovulated yet! I think the Maca I started has delayed everything this cycle! Perhaps shouldn’t have started it for a few months! 🥴 x

@Clairey332 still nothing! And yes very frustrating. Made myself believe I had a very faint positive yesterday but think it was just an evap / my eyes seeing what I wanted to be there.
I've heard mixed reviews about Maca- hope you ovulate soon and your cycles even out! X

AF has finally arrived!! 🥳 never thought I'd be so happy. Surprised it's happened now as my wee one has been feeding more again as she's had a cold plus it's been so hot! Not complaining though, now to see how long it all lasts.

Hi @Elfy11 , oh at last! Hurray! Funnily enough mine AF appeared too! I’m on day 5 now I think. I’ve been feeding my LG loads too as we’ve just got back from Spain on a holiday and fed her loads whilst over there. I found mine was really heavy this time and had a 35 day cycle 😫 xx

@Clairey332 oh no! Hope it's eased off now, do you think it's maybe the Macca or things still just settling? So far mine seems very similar flow wise but way less painful than they used to be so I'll take that as a win for now. (Also feeling less all over the place which is the biggest win by far!)

@Elfy11 that's good to hear that AF has arrived and it's making you feel less on a roller coaster of emotions. Hope you have a lovely holiday too.

I'm on cd 11, so gearing up to hopefully ovulate sorry, although last month it was not until cd 22 so just trying to be patient. This is the first month we'll be TTC now as previous months just getting to know my newly returned cycle. I might try proov oil next month if this month I still have a short luteal phase, although it has steadily been increasing over the 3 cycles I've had.

I've so decided to take a break from maca @Clairey332 so will see if that changes anything for me too.

@Elfy11 hiya! Glad your cycles are less painful. Mine had been heavy for two days but fine on the other days and now just spotting. I actually stopped taking the Maca as my period was so delayed I was sure that was why. Hoping they become more regular for me now so I can see a good pattern back. Also, it’s brilliant you feel more yourself hormonally! There is nothing worse is there! Holiday was lovely thanks. I braved it and took the two youngest on my own while DH worked and eldest DD had exams so had to stay home! Keep us updated 😀

@ZoomiesCat I have stopped Maca too and didn’t ovulate until really late like you last month. Be interesting to see what our cycles do from now then if we’ve both stopped taking the Maca! I’ve had a short LP too but this is only my second cycle so hoping it regulates and gets back to normal soon! I’m CD 7 now so not much between us! Keep us updated!
