Oooh, my first big thread

May I begin by saying I wish you all the bestest of luck!

Ok, shall I attempt to update the list?

Treats, I am more or less in same boat as you. Wondering whether boobs feel tender or not. Also wondering whether CM goes white after OV every month and I've never noticed it before or whether it might be A SIGN!

pistachio I had EWCM for about 8 days...definitely got more abundant closer to Ov. just keep bd'ing until it's all gone. sometimes the LH surge starts a bit premature.

thanks ladylush I'd been ttc since August...which felt like ages, but I know I'm still relatively lucky to get a bfp within a year. only 4 weeks today, so not in the clear for a while.

mibbes sorry bout the BFN, but try fmu this weekend if no AF.

SydneyB · 16/01/2008 12:30

Pistachio - look at this way, the more EWCM there is the more chance those chaps have of getting to the egg and surviving! Think it can last for up to 5 days.

mibbes · 16/01/2008 12:31

Hi Pistachio, has it definitely been EWCM for the whole week ? I thought it usually lasted 1-5 days... It is best to keep bd'ing for as long as you have it, so keep at it

Pistachio have def heard EWCM can last for ages, I think up to about 10 days at your/our age. Remember as was very when I heard that as never had it for more than a couple of days.

mibbes am fine thank you, how are you doing? Went for my first session of reflexology this am which was lovely. (Am supposed to be "working-from-home" )
Only sympton is the desire to eat very expensive green vegetables like tender stem/purple sprouting broccoli and asparagus - minime has expensive tastes! Going to make a watercress sauce later to have with salmon... I did another test today with FMU, line definitely darker so was very Have called the doctors and left a message. Very [terrified emoticon] about getting the results, but healthy & well, healthy & well... Are you going to test on sun of no af? Thinking of you. Such a shame that we live about as far apart as 2 people in the british isles can (am in Hampshire!)

07MTW I used persona as contraception, don't be scared! tbh I wasn't the ideal candidate as my cycles were a bit long. It didn't always tell me I was ov'ing but when it did af always arrived 14 days later which was reassuring. We were using it when I got the surprise bfp in September so clearly didn't work too well that month! Although we were often a bit crap with it, DH hated it and called it the wee wee box! Really hope it helps you xx

mibbes · 16/01/2008 13:07

Hey Kate great to hear you are doing well . Am getting myself ready for a cycle of temping (when AF finally shows up). Have been practising for the past 10 days and temps between 36.6 and 37.1 which was another reason I was hopeful as they seem high. However, haven't taken any pre-ov temps so maybe these are my lows temps and haven't ov'd . If you don't mind me asking what is your high temp range ?
If no AF by Sat/Sun wil retest with FMU - not holding out much hope though. You'll just have to graduate without me but there are loads of lovely waiting room ladies over there now .

kate2179 · 16/01/2008 13:26

Hi mibbes, my temp range this cycle has been from 36.5 on day one, then I got ill on day 4 which skewed things for a while. I think I ov'd on day 25, my temp rose from 36.65 to 36.82 so not a massive rise. Then continued to rise jerkily for the next 4 days. Today was 37.12 which is highest it has been. Would you like to see my fertilityfriend graph? It says I ov'd on CD27 not CD25 but I disagree based on +ve test on CD36 and what I think was implantation pain on CD33... hope this works!

07mumstheword · 16/01/2008 13:29

Sambans The monitor is still in one piece thanks. I think it will ask me for a wee stick on CD6 so hopefully I've set it up correctly!
You know you've tested v v v v v early. I'm sorry you got BFN but I think as someone else said you should throw it away and pretend it never happened.

Kate Thanks for the info it helps to know these things.

Hi to everyone else, hope you are all doing well.

SydneyB · 16/01/2008 13:50

Kate2179 - congrats on your BFP and great to hear that its an even stronger BFP! . When you say our/your age, can I ask what that is? Just wondering how old everyone is on this thread. I'm about to hit 36 and am neurotic about eggs running out etc.

mibbes · 16/01/2008 13:51

Kate thanks so much for the info - my temps seem similar to yours (although probably my body continuing to tease me), will keep taking BBT every day anyway - good practise if nothing else . I'm afraid the link didn't work (just took me to the FF homepage) but don't worry about it.
Will start temping properly next cycle

sambrads · 16/01/2008 14:09

well just to let you all know doc phoned today and said that i did not ovulate!!!!

{{{{{{{{ crying crying crying}}}}}}}}}

looks like i will just sit back and wait for af to come!!!

cycle 9 here i come

kate2179 · 16/01/2008 14:32

So sorry Sam, will they do any more tests or is it just a question of giving the clomid time to work?

mibbes will send you a message.

Thank you SydneyB! I'm 28, I saw on Pistachio's profile that she is 27 so that's why I put my/our age. But I do know that at 35 - 36 your eggs still have plenty of time! You could do a fertell test from Boots if you're worried? My MIL was 38 when she had my DH, and back in 1971 that was quite an age to have a first child - random bit of info, but what I mean is you'll be fine!

sambrads · 16/01/2008 14:34

yeah just have to start clomid on day 1 of cycle!!!!!

feeling gutted as i am starting to have some symptoms!!!!

GryffinGrinch · 16/01/2008 14:35

OHMYGD DigitalGirl* - I'm just back in the real world after three plus weeks of not being logged in and just saw your news!! I am absolutely thrilled for you . Hurrah!!!

kate2179 · 16/01/2008 14:38

mibbes tried to send you a message with temp details but apparently I can't...

cricri · 16/01/2008 14:44

Sambrads cycle buddy - so sorry to hear about your BFN and then the news from the doctor What a disappointment for you. (((hugs)))

fruitloop79 · 16/01/2008 15:33

Oh, bugger Sam. Well just think, This is only your first month. It probably needs time to kick in iykwim . Positive thoughts Sam!

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{BIG HUG}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Our next cycle we WILL get our lazy eggs!

07mumstheword · 16/01/2008 15:37

Oh sam how disappointing for you. You may as well have a large glass of wine then? I do hope things start to work soon.

Sydney I'm 35 this year and was worried about the age thing but I read somewhere that you are not classed as mature in TTC years until 38 so there is plenty of time yet.

GG Welcome back

07mumstheword · 16/01/2008 15:44

Sambrads I have an appointment at docs tomorrow and was just wondering if you could give me any hints as to why your doctor was happy to refer you for tests/clomid by cycle 8. Back in Sept my doctor just told me everything works as I already have a DC and to go away and relax but still nothing and I'm on cycle 10 I really don't want her to send me packing again so any advice would be gratefully rec'd.

sambrads · 16/01/2008 16:04

have you been checking if you have ovulated!!!!!

if you have not ovulated tell the doc that you have been monitoring your ovulation and it has not been happening!!!

they will probably want to take bloods day 21 of cycle !!!

tell them your interested in clomid and have been researching !!!!

ask them if they will prescribe it tell them your age is against you (i dont mean this in a bad way but sometimes they will say you have to wait til 2 years of trying and i am sure you dont want that!!!!)

if all else fails then turn on the water works i did

make sure to tell them even though you have a child secondary infertility is very common thats what i have !!!!!!

i will have everything crossed for you mumstheword fruitloop the doc also said that i now have an overactive thyroid !!!!!!!

i thought i was coming down wit the flu today but doc says i have all symptoms of it!!!!

you think underactive is bad this is worse!!!!!

do you remember i told you i lost 8 pound first week of dieting well i am in second week and weighed myself and have lost a stone and 3 pounds!!!!!!!!

sorry about the length!!!

sambrads · 16/01/2008 16:26

mums the word do you think i should get a monitor ????

i do find them very expensive!!

fruitloop have you got one???

07mumstheword · 16/01/2008 16:46

Thanks Sam I've been using OPK's which have always given me a positive so I suppose I am ovulating. I will do some research tonight on secondary infertility and go armed.

I don't really know about the monitor, It's my first month so I can't really give an informed opinion yet. Mine is borrowed from a friend so I only had to pay for the sticks. From what I've seen so far OPK's are probably just as good as they seem to do the same thing. And of course if you are not ovulating then I don't know if any of them would be of any use to you?

mylittleeloise · 16/01/2008 17:14

hi all, kate not sure how many days po i am last af started on 16 dec i think which is 31 days ago my cycle is never longer than 29 days but cant remember finding any ewcm at all which is rather strange, however saying that i wasnt doing the propper knicker watching thing at all, hoping for a super sticky egg this time tho 2 mc's in 2 cycles is too much for anyone to have to cope with.
