Slow down you lot! I need to catch up

Congrats to all the new BFP's nd welcome welcome welcome to all our newbies to this extremely lucky thread

Nothing to say this end I'm afraid. Just lots of Bd-ing which is unlike me so DP reckons I just want his sperm (of course not honey - fluttering eyelashes )

I have no idea if I've ov'd yet or about to or if I am now. The sticks not giving anything away (except neg) and my body certainly doesnt wanna give anything away - So secretive! My body's conspiring against me, I'm sure of it.

Just under two weeks till my PCOS scan. They can tell if I've Ov'd or about to can't they????? (it's trans vag probe)

Hello ladies, I'm new here and I would like to join your thread if I may! I'm on CD1 (or is that CD2 as a miniscule spot appeared yesterday late afternoon, nothing since but AF should get going soon!) and my cycle seems to vary between 27 and 33 days. I'm not temping, but am instead just seeing what's going to happen!!!!

I have a question for all you knowledgeable MNers: when I feel sharp ovary-like pains during the mid-point of my cycle, do they signal that an egg is being released then and there? Is egg release an 'instant' event or is it something that happens over a number of hours?

Happy waiting and testing,
bfn, HalyconDays

MrsEi25 · 15/01/2008 15:01

welcome to our lovely thread halycondays what cycle are you on and what number of child are you TTC for?? i will add you to the stat list then i dont know that much about ov pains etc as i dont generally have them but someone will be along soon to answer your q!!

mylittleeloise · 15/01/2008 15:13

afternoon ladies, well i finally plucked up the courage( with some gentle persuasion off sil) to test today and got a BFP !!!! trying to not get over excited about it after what happened last time, booked in to see doctor on friday, going to demand a blood test to check hcg levels so i know what to expect if they are low again, am so scared, all i can think about is the worst, think i need something else to focus on for another 2 months

MrsEi25 · 15/01/2008 15:23

congratulations mylittleeloise on your BFP!!! excellent news!! wow fruitloop you were right it is gettin a bit of a lucky thread!!
xx ei xx

mibbes · 15/01/2008 15:53

Congrats mylittleeloise the thread is getting luckier by the day !
Welcome HalyconDays and SydneyB
Kate I feel pretty normal - the main sign for me so far is slightly throbbing boobs every so often then today a stabbing pain. TBH apart from thirst, which has gone, and achy boobs nothing apart from missing AF . I feel like belly and boobs are bigger too but I know that is more likely to be due to xmas excesses !
I loved your story about getting your BFP - hopefully I'll be sharing a similar story soon - fingers crossed.
Emmsy how long are your cycles usually ? Could we be on for the cycle buddy treble..? I also had no indication from opks of ov and no EWCM so have no proof of ov either... am not letting that stop my mind race though

07mumstheword · 15/01/2008 15:54

Welcome imum Sydneyb & halycondays Good luck in your quest TTC

Mylittleloise I only welcomed you back yesterday! What fantastic news Congratulations

Fruitloop I seem to have a secretive body too, it's so frustrating. I don't suffer the long cycles you do though so it must be really difficult to have to do more guessing.

mibbes · 15/01/2008 15:55

Sorry MrsEi25 I meant to respond to you too - if you can handle a potential BFN go for it but if not I'd wait a few days and see - up to you though !

MrsEi25 · 15/01/2008 15:59

thanks mibbes i dont think i will be buyin another test til tomorrow as i just cant be bothered having to soothe myself out of the BFN despair zone!! i would rather just see what happens i think at least for the next few days!!

07mumstheword · 15/01/2008 16:04

Halycondays Sorry, about your ovulation. Pains on one side mid month can normally signify ovulation. An egg can surive 12-48 hours (some say 12-24 hours) so if you get pains get bd'ing.

fruitloop79 · 15/01/2008 16:28

Ei I'm always right, he he - go for the test!

MTW our bodies have obviously made a pact against us. How mean

Congrats MLE! The very best of luck for this one.

kate2179 · 15/01/2008 17:49

Congratulations MLL! Fantastic news! The luckiest thread ever! How many DPO do you think you are? We can go through the trauma of waiting for blood test results together... As I said before, it WILL be ok this time, I am determined! If you're interested Twilightsurfer has kindly posted her stats for me on the knicker checkers anonymous thread... she got pg on the 1st cycle after mc, same as you I think? and she's doing just great

Hi mibbes, you still sound pg to me! Reckon we're definitely on for making it a cycle buddy triple, you me and Emmsy! Wouldn't that be so wonderful!

Welcome newbies, you will get so much support here, it's a wonderful thread!

kate2179 · 15/01/2008 17:52

mibbes my only othre symptom is being really hungry but then being full really quickly when I eat... And being more tired than I think I would be otherwise, not yet totally knocked out by it though - hopefully will be soon

theowlwhowasafraidofthedark · 15/01/2008 18:19

congratulations to all the BFPs. Feeling pretty jealous. I'm still languishing around the bottom of the list waiting for af. grrrr

LobstersLass · 15/01/2008 18:37

Wow! It's been busy here today!

Welcome to imum, Sydneyb and halycondays. [waves like a loon]

Congratulations Mylittleloise! This thread is so lucky, it certainly seems to be the place to be!!

HalyconDays · 15/01/2008 18:46

My first chance to post a congratulatory message, for MyLittleEloise! What a good way to start my first day here!

colabottle · 15/01/2008 20:18

congratulations mylittleloise. hope its sticky.

Emmsy1 · 15/01/2008 20:24

welcome to all the new girls, and congratulations to MLEon your BFP.
hows it going mibbes, my cycles are usually 28-29 days long, I have had the very rare 30-31 day cycle but have never made it this long! I did not use OPK this month, I had run out! I am presuming that I didn't 'O' because my temps have been extremely low, they did rise above my 'cover line twice' (I put that down to too much alcohol and dropped again after, they have been the lowest temps I have had in 17 months, infact I am sure I am dead!,
still no sign of AF and (.)(.)s a little sore (they usually are before AF) I tested this morning with my ebay cheapie and it was still negative, I tested again this afternoon with a sainsbury one and I think I wrecked the test! the control window was all splodgy and there was a splodgy evap line in the result line, will do one more sainsburys test in the morning if still no AF!

sambrads · 15/01/2008 20:43

fruitloop79 · 15/01/2008 20:53

Is this thread turning into a pregnancy thread? haha. I love it!

Well, Pilates almost finished me off last night. My tummy muscles and arms are killing me. He's a mean instructor - threatening to poke us with his cactus (I say!)

I'm now sitting watching cook yourself slim. It's great if you've got loads of spare cash and shop at Waitrose! Sorry but I shop in Tesco's with the rest of the riff raff.

ooh, James Martin's double choc brownies
