Hey peeps ovulated today - anyone in the same boat and hoping for a BFP in mid May? Thought we could do the 2ww together x

@catlady10 Yup I'm in that low pessimistic stage now. I'm either 4 or 5 DPO today, before ovulation I was feeling really good about it all and now I'm just expecting a BFN next week.

Maybe I'm just grumpy at the lack of wine and coffee in my life right now for what feels like no point! I have a lukewarm/cold latte on my desk that I'm trying to stretch out across the day so I feel less miffed at not being 'allowed' a second one.

@Amber17 try not to be too hard on yourself. Have decaf lattes and you can have more than one. I drunk over the weekend and I had a glass of wine last night as I needed to decompress. I'm 5dpo same as you. I'm also vaping - I shouldn't be but there's only so much I can deprive myself of at the moment and stay sane! I'm not advocating drinking but I've read a lot about the importance of staying calm and happy and if you want a glass of wine when TTC just have it in moderation. Ultimately none of us know how long this journey will take and you need to be kind to yourself b4 baby takes over!! Xx

@Amber17 bless you, drink the coffee! It’s such a stressful time you still have to do what you can to feel normal and have a bit of joy!

I read once ‘drink until the line is pink’ 😅 probably not sound advice but it makes sense!

@41andtryingforfirst I had a few glasses of wine as well last weekend. I don't think it can do any harm at this stage!

I'm 5dpo today and don't feel anything really. I don't think I have a real chance this month, but in any case it's too early to know!

@catlady10 my DP doesn't know anything about Mumsnet and I'm not planning to tell him 🤣 He doesn't know either that I'm testing for ovulation, and about all the crazy things I'm googling during the TWW. He would be really surprised 😂

I love all the symptom spotting, feel exactly the same way!
When I was pregnant with DD, the first few weeks just felt like an awareness of my uterus, not quite a cramp but a bloatiness like AF was about to arrive for me. I did have a heightened sense of smell but I'm not sure when that started - I realised the smells that made me feel more nauseous around the 7 week stage were things I wouldn't normally be aware of smelling, but I think I was smelling more stuff earlier than that - bit of a subtle one!
And when I told some people later on they told me they had suspected because boobs bigger but honestly I'm not sure when that happened because to me it was kinda subtle and I didn't get any tenderness. My boobs now even more difficult to interpret because they are a different shape post bf etc.
I've also noticed that when I lie on my tummy i get that funny/unpleasant sensation I got from around the 18 week mark when uterus was starting to move up and out. My brain is definitely overthinking!

Haven't told husband posting on mn, he'd definitely think I was mad!

I'm getting the weirdest tightening sensation all day. I can only describe it as what braxton hicks used to feel like on my DD but not painful; just tightening and pulling in a way that's making me a bit breathless. It's so hard to know are sensations coming from womb/bowel/bladder 😂 I'm out all day tomorrow so that should make 8DPO pass quickly!

Oh please don't tempt me 🙊 I became an absolute woman obsessed from 8DPO last month and it just ended in misery when AF arrived. Plus I wasted SO many tests 🤣 doesn't help that my workplace sells PG tests.... lunchtime POAS became a hobby 🙃

I’m a bit late to the party but please can I join? I’m 7 or 8dpo, I got a smiley face for 2 days so not sure which. I’ve POAS twice. DP thinks I have lost the plot!

The only symptom I have (and I’m not sure if it’s even a thing!) is that my last 2 workouts I have really struggled with. Today I felt a bit dizzy during the tougher part and had to have a minute to take a breather which isn’t really like me!

Thanks for the reassurance about the caffeine/alcohol. It’s weird cos I know it’s fine and was planning to be pretty chill about it, but TWW started and I was like if I get a BFN and I’ve been drinking etc as usual I’ll only blame myself!

Pretty certain I had implantation spotting yesterday afternoon.

Although kind of anxious as hubby and I DTD last night, when I got up to walk to the bathroom, I bled bright red blood which has never ever happened to me before. Put in a tampon in case AF was coming early. But woke up this morning to almost nothing? No further bleeding. AF isn't due until another 6 days. It was bright bright red so assuming it wasn't remaining implantation blood? The implantation spotting I had during the day was a light pink speck.

I read on a few other threads that the cervix can become irritated after possible conception and this could be the cause of the bleeding after sex. Does anybody have any experience of this at all?!

@S0220 not experienced personally but I have read about the cervix being really sensitive if you are. Eeek 🤞🤞🤞🤞

@Amber17 enjoy everything now while you can. I'm sure that there's no harm as the egg isn't nestled in with a cord yet. I was so worried about coffee and chocolate (who knew chocolate had caffeine) then I got pregnant with ds and it all tasted disgusting anyway 😅 I'm chonking down the chocolate while I can

I'm 3/4dpo today. Having a cm issue today - tmi but so soggy 😬 trying not to symptom spot as shouldn't be noticing anything yet

My AF is due in 4 days. Keeping fingers crossed! Not sure how confident I am.
I'm pretty sure caffeine is totally safe...I drink to survive and def wouldn't forgo 🍫

@S0220 does sound promising! I feel pregnant back in December (unfortunately a CP) but I got some bright red blood before I got my BFP!

I’ve been getting cramps and pains on and off but these are pretty common to me due to my pcos symptoms so not holding out much hope, I’d love a period at this point if it’s not my month as I haven’t had one since March 😣

Af due on between wed 10th n sun 15th. Fingers crossed I get a sticky one this time after a MC in December and a chemical pregnancy last month. Hoping a lovely abroad holiday will do the sticky trick! Still ttc for our first since Feb last year 😢

Hey all, had super busy day today so thankfully wasn't obsessing over symptom spotting but at the same time I really don't feel anything at all today. BUT I am 8DPO and I've never made it this far before!! I'm delighted. If AF holds off I won't test until Sunday at 11DPO I think but I'm not expecting anything. Still having the weird CM!

Right people I think we should make a pact and do no POAS until..., um.... what's reasonable? 2 days b4 AF is due? Im 6dpo and already getting jittery. I have one FRER and then a load of cheapies left and don't intend on using the FRER unless AF is late. Anyone with me? X

@41andtryingforfirst I've already failed 😔😔😔 caved today at 9dpo (early this evening - don't know what came over me) and got a BFN 👎🏽 really mad at myself for doing it because now I just feel gutted.

@S0220 that's ok don't feel down though - it is super early!! I just find that if I get a BFN I feel disheartened and depressed and I want to try and hold on to a tiny bit of hope! X

@S0220 I've got some screen shots that explain why some people get early BFPs and others don't. It's all about your usual HCG level (everyone including men have a level between 1-5). If you are a 5 then pregnancy tests pick it up pregnancy much quicker. Let me find it and I'll post it on here
