How many months did it take to conceive your second baby? Particularly interested in answers where the age gap was a few years. Thanks!

First month both times 4 years apart

First shag! Almost 3 years between them.

First month both times, 2y4m between them

2nd baby took 2 months and 2 years 11 months between them

Second baby three months to conceive, with 3 years 8 months between them.

First month both times. 2.5 year age gap.

First was a ‘first try’ baby.

Second baby took quite a long time - nearly a year I think? We ended up with a four year age gap which, while not the plan, has actually been lovely.

3 months for second baby, with 3 years and 9 months age gap

1st - pregnant first month of trying (ended in miscarriage)

2nd - pregnant second month of trying (about 4 months between 1st and 2nd)

3rd - pregnant first month of trying (2 years between 2nd and 3rd.)

First month both times. Actually, the second was more of a 'yes I'm sure it's safe this week' baby

19 month age gap, both conceived in the first month of trying.

First month for 1st dc, 5 years ttc 2nd then first month for 3rd.

I had three miscarriages between 1st and second. Second was born 3 years after first and we started trying to conceive when the eldest was 18 months.

DS1 and DS2 were both conceived pretty much instantly, two year gap, I was 31/33 for conception, 32/34 for birth. Am 6 months pg again now at 41 (but will turn 42 just before baby arrives). This baby took about 7 months but I had a lot of false starts in that time (eg very faint positive then a period pretty much every month). So I think I still conceived very easily even at this age but presumably much poorer egg quality meant it took a while to get one that stuck. We asked a consultant before trying this time because of my age and this was exactly what she predicted -- probably still fertile given v high fertility earlier, likely to take longer than before.

2nd baby took 9 months! It was very disheartening so don't read to much into these replies I'd you are struggling (just under 3 years between them)

3rd baby took 1 go! (Not one month, one go 😂) just over 2 years between them
