Anyone ovulating yesterday/today/tomorrow want to join! I haven’t had a period for 4 months and feel so glad that I can ‘try’ again! I’m driving myself mad and it’s not even ovulation day for me yet (I think it’s tomorrow) based on having a positive OPK yesterday evening and not in the morning! So if anyone who wants to join to get through the TWW ☺️

@Peonies94 We do whenever we fancy through the month but around ovulation I do every other day. We are TTC #3 we have two girls who are both October babies 🤣 they'll be 2 and 5 in October xx

Peonies94 · 01/02/2022 17:25

@Holly3 ahh cute! Ahh okay! We’ve been trying the SMEP due to having issues the last year! Goodluck!

Hey!

Can I join. I've had 3 "high" readings on my CB monitor on ovulation and currently on day 15! Trying for number one been just over 12 months of trying and one miscarriage. Nice to see new faces at the same point in my cycle

Peonies94 · 01/02/2022 20:09

@apwilso hello 👋! Ahh child one and 12 months ttc too!

@Peonies94 snap! How you been doing on your journey. I'm at the point of wanting to give up but trying not to!

Peonies94 · 01/02/2022 21:03

@apwilso struggling, I’m feeling a little more positive at the moment as just had a period after having not had one in 4 months! I’m currently having some fertility testing done! It’s hard going isn’t it! I feel like we gave it our best shot this month, so I’m hopeful but also think if it’s taken this long, why this time?!

I hope you don't mind me joining, finally found people who are on the same dates/days as me.. I end up feeling like I'm going insane waiting to test. Ttc baby #2 (1st was 14 years ago) feel like I'm completely out of the know. Been tracking for a few months. Had a peak on LH test yesterday evening and levels gradually going back down now. Unfortunately couldn't do the deed today as partner is away for work but hoping that won't matter too much

Peonies94 · 01/02/2022 23:29

@Bubs89 hello! Yes it’s so lovely to have people to get you through the weeks isn’t it! I think I ovulated this morning (roughly)! Aww no, yes hopefully you’ve covered other days and will be enough! Good luck!

Hey can I join please, I’m on CD14 and think I’m due to ovulate on the 2nd or 3rd. This is my 2nd month trying although my husband had covid throughout my Jan fertile window so that was an epic fail. So far we have gone everyday of this week so fingers crossed! Also due to test Valentine’s Day and I saw a cute card “roses are red, violets are blue, inside of me beats 2 hearts for you” which I thought would be a nice announcement. We currently have a 3 year old daughter and moved house December 2021 so that was our cue to start trying! Great to find my people, baby dust all round.

RosyappleA · 02/02/2022 00:19

Glad there are so many of us on the TWW together, I ovulated Sunday. I hate symptom spotting but really can’t help it.
I am ttc 2 and basically DD decides if we can try or not. Her sleeping patterns are all over the place she is full of energy never naps etc…
We found the forced sex awful the last two months of trying it just kills the mood. This is tmi but then if all dribbles out as i can’t orgasm I feel certain I won’t get pregnant and that it was just a waste. First time using clearblue this month I didn’t tell him when I ovulated but we just done it when we enjoyed it and for once covered the day before, the day of and the day after ovulation.

Peonies94 · 02/02/2022 06:16

@T4Opal hello! Ahh every day, fair play yo you!

@RosyappleA - ahh it’s so hard isn’t it! I’ve had a week off work this week too so I’ve been even worse, hopefully going back on the weekend will distract me! It’s so difficult isn’t it, but sounds like you’ve covered all basis! How olds your little one?

Goodluck to you both! I’m 1DPO today!

Butterscotchbaby · 02/02/2022 11:20

@RosyappleA - we ovulated on the same day! Are you good at holding off testing? I'm going to try so hard to not test until Valentines day!

apwilso · 02/02/2022 12:36

@Peonies94 I know that feeling! What testing you currently having. For us I'm putting it down to timing I haven't tracked and boyfriend works away every week. So trying to plan his work (work together) so we can catch fertile week 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

I'm on my 4th day of high ovulation on clearblue monitor so hoping it's tomorrow! DTD CD 12, 14 and 15 so far. On CD 16 at the min so might leave it tonight and do it tomorrow. I hate forced sex it's annoying

Bubs89 · 02/02/2022 12:44

It seems like everyone on here is using the clearblue ovulation tests, are they better than the lh test strips? The app says I ovulated yesterday, we dtd everyday on the 5 days upto but not on ovulation day, hoping that hasn't messed up our chances. He works away during the week so couldn't be helped unfortunately.

Peonies94 · 02/02/2022 13:08

@apwilso I’ve had bloods and awaiting an internal scan! Good luck!

OP posts:
RosyappleA · 02/02/2022 13:21

@Bubs89 i find clearblue easier and i think clearblue checks for two hormones estrogen as well, not just LH. Also you test first thing in the morning which is more convenient than the early afternoon of generics. You don’t need to read the result and work out how much darker the test line is to the control line by uploading onto apps, in order to determine a positive result. Clearblue tells you the result using smiley faces. Easier but not absolutely necessary. I would say its useful for a couple of months but now i know when I ovulate and as it is regular i don’t need to check anymore. Next month i will just dtd around the that day.

@Butterscotchbaby I will try my VERY best to hold off testing but from experience I will know if I am pregnant or not even without testing. I can tell when AF is on the way, the lower backache kicks in, my skin gets bad. It is like I need to test just to eliminate all doubt at that point, which i do, several times ha. If i am pregnant i will be nauseous and my skin will be super clear. I have a feeling that is how it will go for me but I know people say every pregnancy is different. Although I can tell something is really off around the time my period is due.
This is my third month ttc and I can see how depressing it can be. I swore this time I would never dtd again for the sole purpose of ttc, only spontaneous. It seems to have taken over my life in such little time!

Butterscotchbaby · 02/02/2022 13:39

@Bubs89 - are the tests expensive? I use the easy at home ones at the mo but like you say its the faff involved !

@RosyappleA - this is our 2nd cycle and I wanted to try and remain chilled about it all but it does take over doesn't it! I hate having sex on demand but its such a small window of opportunity isn't it! Its surprising how anyone gets pregnant with all of the obstacles in the way!

I read somewhere that even in the perfect conditions only 20% end up in a successful pregnancy!

Bubs89 · 02/02/2022 13:39

@RosyappleA thank you for the advice, I find with the strips it's so hard test in the day. I leave the house at 6 in the morning and not normally home until 4.30ish, cant test at work. So I'm thinking if it doesn't happen this cycle then I will definitely get some clear blue ones if I can do in the morning. I was on the depo for 7 years and it's taken a few months for my body to get back to any normality. Still not quite got a pattern just yet so testing for ovulation is so helpful.

Bubs89 · 02/02/2022 13:46

@Butterscotchbaby I've been using a make called femometer the pack was 50 lh strips and 20 hcg for around £13 so not bad at all. Been using an app so upload pic and they give me result.

What do you all do to keep yourself occupied waiting to test? I find when I'm at work I'm distracted but once I'm home it's all I think about

RosyappleA · 02/02/2022 14:01

@Cookiedough123

Meeee I'm 2DPO and just keep searching random threads and reading stuff to do with TTC. Updating the threads I'm on and refreshing every few hours. It's going to be a long 2 weeks 😂
This is so me, glad I am not the only one!
T4Opal · 02/02/2022 14:27

@RosyappleA I agree, I have become obsessed so quickly too. I wasn’t going to do ovulation tests but my friend gave me hers and wants me to send the photos so suddenly here I am!

My cm has changed from egg white stretchy yesterday to full on wet today. From what I read it should be the other way around?!

Peonies94 · 02/02/2022 17:53

Totally agree with that regarding CB tests, I like that you can use FMU as the strips say not to, also I like that it is a definite, not just looking for the line! My app sometimes told me a really low reading, even though I had a stronger like; so just find them easier! @Bubs89

I am also constantly refreshing threads! I’m terrible for it, I’m fine when I’m busy/have distractions but otherwise my time is spent wishing and wondering and a LOT of googling! It’s a tough time this 2WW especially as you know you can’t do anymore now!

Regarding the CB tests I order mine from dr fertility online much cheaper than boots etc! And fast delivery 👏🏼 xx

Peonies94 · 02/02/2022 18:21

@Holly3 that’s where I got mine! So much cheaper! I buy the packs of 20 too!
