@aesgriff oh lol, the joys of the metaformin tummy! I found it passed pretty quickly, hope it does for you! I know, valentine's Day was what I had my eyes on, I don't plan on getting DH anything because we are lazy but that would be a brilliant gift. I am getting ahead of myself tho, let's see what the new few days of symptoms bring. I think I'll aim to only test 12 DPO if I have symptoms, we shall see.

@Ganesh2022 huge congrats on your solid smiley, I had mine this cycle after nine days of flashing, by that point I was about to throw that smiley face out of the window. It's such a relief isn't it!

@MO22 Yes!!! My parents' house has this digital timer with a very similar looking smiley face and I find it hard to look at it lol.

@Skl2021 I am relieved..then that voice in the back of my mind says "well it doesn't guarantee ovulation" but I am trying VERY hard to silence that voice. Belated happy bday to your little one btw :)

I give up, I had a positive ovulation test, dtd for 4 days and used the conceive plus lube taking vitamins etc and still to be greeted with the 9th month of negative tests after MMC and another AF who came early at the weekend just to flip me over the edge. Why does this hurt so much and happen to people who just desperately want to be parents!

@Ganesh2022 omg I had my static smiley this morning too!!! Hooray for us!! Luckily we DTD yesterday, gonna do it tonight and maybe tomorrow for good measure lol

@PamelaDoov Ha! How funny...never been so happy to see that stupid face. Fingers crossed we have another set of matching tests in two weeks' time huh?

@hopefulsunshine11 So sorry, what a crap feeling. When you say AF came early, do you mean your LP was too short?

I’m so sorry @hopefulsunshine11, I completely relate to how you feel 😔 It feels like everyone around me is getting pregnant. I see people pregnant with their second child and I think about how I was wanting a baby before they even had their first! Life can feel so unfair at times. I try my best to be grateful for what I have but I definitely still have a good cry every now and then about it x

@Ganesh2022 such a weird coincidence! It’s my birthday in 2 weeks so I could be getting either a nice birthday present or a huge disappointment.

I don't feel that optimistic anymore. Two days before AF is supposed to show up, starting with my normal AF symptoms like mild cramps and bloating. Also got that weird metallic taste again, which I only had when I was getting a BFP, but weirdly after the last BFP that ended in an ectopic, I seem to have it every cycle now. Thanks.
Two days ago I was weirdly optimistic because I started cramping at what I think was 7dpo, which is too early for AF. The only other time I had that was with my first BFP. Boobs hurt, but that's not out of the ordinary.
I don't want to test though. I wouldn't want to know if it would be a chemical.

@Bundaberg84 I know it's hard but try not to give up just yet. Your not out until af shows. I was convinced I was out this cycle. You don't have much longer to wait if you don't want to test. I will cross everything for you 🤞✨ xx

@Skl2021 I think so, I think I'll test until get my dye stealer I have 7 tests here so hopefully I'll get one Sunday/Monday next week and I'll just do the CB weeks indicator next week and following week then 🙏🏻

@Ganesh2022 I was due to come on tomorrow and started spotting on Friday, I'd say full AF started today. Was weird as I started to hope it was implantation bleeding at first.

@BlueForYou3 that's exactly how I feel, two of my friends had their first and second children not that far apart together. My other friend has just come off her contraception to try for her second and I know it sounds bad but I just know she's going to be pregnant before me and I'm finding it hard to be happy for anyone now. I'm not sure what else to try before seeing the GP. I came off the pill a year ago in Jan we tried for 2 months and I fell pregnant which ended in MMC in early May. Since then nothing! My periods haven't been irregular but some times I will be a couple of days earlier or later. I just feel really disheartened this time because I seen a strong positive ovulation test. It's really hard isn't it!

@hopefulsunshine11 I think what’s particularly unfair—if I understand correctly—is that a miscarriage restarts the clock for nhs investigations? I’m a horribly impatient person, so what works for me wouldn’t necessarily be good for someone else and may add more stress—but would you consider/be able to do private investigations if gp doesn’t wanna hear? Not bc anything is necessarily wrong...sometimes it is just a matter of time (which is so f ing hard. Understatement of century.) but just to get more info/rule out easy fixes

@hopefulsunshine11 A good friend of mine started trying in May. I remember thinking, I don’t know how I’ll cope if she falls pregnant before me. She fell pregnant in August and I remember just feeling absolutely devastated when I found out. I finally got my BFP in September and our babies would only have been about 6 weeks apart. Unfortunately I had a MMC at 10 weeks and I haven’t been able to see her since. She’s due in a couple months and I can’t believe I’m back in this situation again. It’s a horrible position to be in but I hope you take some comfort in knowing you’re not alone x

I assume I just stop doing the clear blue tests now it’s static?
Until this morning I hadn’t tested since yesterday morning so it could’ve happened last night for all I know! Definitely need to squeeze at least one more DTD in lol.

@Skl2021 last time I got it on 17dpo and I'm 12dpo today so hopefully not too long, although I won't be able to test on 17dpo so it'll prob be 18dpo if all goes ok 🙏🏻

@PamelaDoov It should stay static for the next 48 hours if we’re using the same OPK’s. I got my static on the Tuesday and didn’t actually ovulate till the Friday so make sure you keep on DTD for a few days! ☺️ Good luck x

@Bundaberg84 I also have the metallic taste since mc, and not even during tww (which is yet to come), just randomly at times. So strange. I hope it is your month!

Thank you @Ganesh2022! For me it's only in the last week of 2WW, which always keeps my hopes up.
I also get it from eating pine nuts though, so I took extra care not to eat anything with pine nuts haha
