Hi all. Currently in the TWW and if we conceive this cycle bubba will be arriving in October! Anyone want to join in symptom spotting and testing 😊?

@frenchie4002 yep, that's exactly what it means. You get the static when your LH surge has been detected so can ovulate 12-36 hours after that xx
I got my static yesterday but pretty sure I've ovulated today

SunnySideUp2020 · 19/01/2022 20:05

Sorry to hear @Miracle22 xx

@Mariabombia I used to do opks throughout the cycle when i first started ttc back in 2019.
And after peak/ovulation it went back to very low and then picked up at 14 dpo I had an almost positive. So I went on MN all confused bear in mind it was my first time ttc and using opks and I was still learning...
Anywya Mumsnet told me take a pregnancy test! And it was indeed positive 😄
I did MC at 7 weeks though but yeah basically if you test until AF opks will likely pick up the pregnancy...

frenchie4002 · 19/01/2022 20:06

Thank you @ttcbabya xx
And now begins the longest two weeks ever! Are you going to hold out for af due date to test?

mummatomason · 19/01/2022 20:07

Can i join to im ttc#2 1st cycle 3dpo and the urge to test is already there. Ive had pinky discharge and cramps but surely i cant be feeling anything this early on?!

With my first i didnt track anything, i just stopped my pill and 6 months later i was pregnant so this feels such a different experience.
Great to read all your comments to see im in the same boat as others

TradedAtlanta · 19/01/2022 20:13

Reading everyone's messages really focuses the mind on getting pregnant! I'm feeling full boobs but that definitely can't be pregnancy related. I use a fertility tracking watch - it was predicting ovulation yesterday but this morning it said that my parameters weren't clear so to give DTD another go today.

@frenchie4002 yeah, I'm going to hold out. I always get hopeful every cycle and then I don't get my BFP it really gets me down. So I'll just wait for AF to arrive or even better, not to! Honestly, it's so horrible I get so upset haha

What about you? Hopefully you're better than me x

IslandGirl27 · 19/01/2022 20:25

@Sunrise321 I'm 29, I'd love my BFP before my 30th in August! Just got to keep positive I guess!

frenchie4002 · 19/01/2022 20:25

Hi @mummatomason and @TradedAtlanta X
I’ve never heard of the fertility watch would you recommend? Is it expensive? I know what you mean…I can’t stay off mumsnet in the tww😂

@ttcbabya I am the same I always say I’ll wait but never do! This time I am purposely not getting any frers in so there is no temptation! It’s always so upsetting to see the bfns but I do think I’d be just as down leaving the testing and af arriving…either way it’s bloody hard x

TradedAtlanta · 19/01/2022 20:31

@frenchie4002 I use the Ava watch. It tracks lots of things like your temperature, pulse rate and breathing rate to predict your fertile window. It took me 8 months to get BFP with my DD and that was second month using Ava. I'm too forgetful to manage to daily temp test or pee on a stick! Obviously I can't tell you I wouldn't have fallen pregnant without it but it seemed helpful. It is expensive though so that's a bit rubbish.

ttcbabya · 19/01/2022 20:33

@frenchie4002 exactly! It's sooo hard either way, my comfort is just that one way is cheaper 😂
I'm sure I've spent £'00s on tests. I have one FRER and I've managed to refrain using it to test for about 3 months haha, I've been using the cheapies instead but im running out of those too

frenchie4002 · 19/01/2022 20:41

@TradedAtlanta wow sounds like its pretty accurate! Maybe I’ll give it a go. I have tried soy isoflavones this month🤞
@ttcbabya 100%! Wow that’s very good of you. Have you got a reliable cheap brand to recommend?

mummytorm · 19/01/2022 20:42

Soo looks like my peak was deffo this morning!! So when will I ovulate now?! I had some cheapies delivered today and this time next week I think I'll start testing. I know I won't be able to wait any longer I'm so impatient 😂

I don't know if they're reliable but they've never given me a BFP as I've not gotten pregnant yet but I use the Poundland ones. There's like three in a pack for a pound xx

Can I join? TTC#2, had a chemical in July. AF is due on the 23rd, I tested today but it was a BFN. Trying to keep positive as I have a few symptoms. Hoping I'm not setting myself up for disappointment this month!

mummatomason · 19/01/2022 21:09

@frenchie4002
I use flo, its free for the first month. I may just write the dates down and then cancel my subscription. It is useful though at giving you tips and what to look out for

mummytorm · 19/01/2022 21:18

@ttcbabya I bought a 15 pack of cheapies on amazon for £3 lol! Cheapies picked up both pregnancies so 🤞🏼

@Sunrise321 I'm 10DPO but I did a test this morning and BFN so I'm not holding out much hope. How about you?

IslandGirl27 · 19/01/2022 22:56

@Sunrise321 well I'm completely confused in all honesty, I was getting peak fertility on the CB sticks anywhere from CD17 to CD24 of a 32 day cycle. However this month I tried the cheap OPKs as I wanted to see the actual lines for myself and seeing as the CB didn't really work for me.
I've attached a pic of this months tests. I'd say I O'd on the 9th(ish), which was CD14. Could explain why we've had no luck so far as we haven't been DTD that early in the previous cycles. This month we DTD 5 days before peak, one day before peak, day of peak and day after so who knows!

Technically AF won't be due for another 7 days but wouldn't that mean my luteal phase is ridiculously long?

When is your AF due? Sorry for the long message 😂

IslandGirl27 · 19/01/2022 22:57

Sorry, realised i didn't attach the pic after all that rambling!
