Here we go! Thread 14 for the nicest bunch of women on Mumsnet

Thread 13 was very joyful and very painful for me, but what it has shown me is that even old warhorses like me can get lucky, so there's no excuse for all you nubile young honies not to deliver the goods! Come on now, Mama Hester expects you to do your duty by your fellow ttc-ers

Get ready now, 1 - 2 - 3, GO!!!

Twiga · 22/11/2004 12:34

yup, can count that way, thurs would add up re what's happening with cm and would explain things - really hope this is your month - I'm a great believer in listening to your body and using other things as a guide only

Tania2 · 22/11/2004 12:34

So does anyone know of anything you can use to lube that wont harm the swimmers????

Twiga · 22/11/2004 12:34

your dh will be pleased - at least every other day

Twiga · 22/11/2004 12:35

KY Jelly should do the trick - do you get it in Oz

Tania2 · 22/11/2004 12:37

Tania2 · 22/11/2004 12:38

KY is bad for swimmers really every lube on the market is even saliva!!! read that somewhere

Twiga · 22/11/2004 12:39

just as a quick note, ky is water based so shouldn't harm anything - what time is it with you just now?

Twiga · 22/11/2004 12:40

suppose might alter ph.........

Tania2 · 22/11/2004 12:41

11:40pm should be going to bed now. I read on a thread that ky and other lubes are bad for swimmers and we have plenty of the stuff but too scared to use it now.

Tania2 · 22/11/2004 12:43

munnzieb · 22/11/2004 12:43

I thought they were bad as well tania?, have you asked in your local chemist? the pharmacist should be able to recommend a good lube.

Twiga · 22/11/2004 12:44

Tania2 · 22/11/2004 12:45

valleygirl · 22/11/2004 13:30

MunzieB - did you get the results of your blood tests yet? i went for mine this morning and was told it will be about 2 weeks before I get the results. am not sure if i even ovulated as my temperatures have been and and down since my initial temp hike.

hester · 22/11/2004 14:34

Oh tooks, I am so, so sorry . It does sound like an early miscarriage; I am so sorry this has happened to you. You could just wait and let nature take its course, or you could see your GP or go straight to your local early pregnancy unit. Nothing that anyone can do about it, but it may help you to get a clearer picture of what is going on. Huge hugs to you, and we're all here if you want to talk.

Berolina, thanks so much for posting; I really appreciated it. You can crash with us anytime!

Moschops - sympathy.

Tania - yes, feeling randy and ewcm are both symptoms of ovulation, but IME it is perfectly possible to experience neither but get pg...

The thread is a bit gloomy at the moment, isn't it? I'm feeling very, very tired - not sure if it's depression, or anaemia, or just hormone crash, but I could sleep for a week... Could somebody give us good news soon, to cheer us all up? Please?

Hester, thank you, know that you know exactly how I feel. Went out and bought another test, still negative, but no more discharge really to speak of. Am just waiting now.

Don't think I will bother with the doctor, if I hadn't done the first early test I wouldn't have known any different would I? Except that I felt so pg, all the same symptoms as with my first baby.

Dh was lovely and insists we keep on trying as soon as we can! But for now, hugs will be enough
