Hi all!

We were getting to the end of the previous thread, so thought it’s best to start a new one.

A quick catch up I think mainly everyone on the old thread is as 12 months + TTC.

Newbies are always welcome.

Just sharing our journeys, supporting each other when possible, and having somewhere to moan and let it all out

@Lkdjul
I Hope your hycosy went well. Sorry to hear about your OH SA. I totally get how things can feel crazy with speed things are moving at! It seems forever when ttc and then at once it seems to move pretty fast!

@LA9610have a wonderful holiday!

Nurse from hospital called today. We’ve decided to go with CARE as they seem pretty good, lots of clinics and they seem to do extra tests and stuff which we might need if we end up having to go private after this round.

Plus, they’re about 5 miles away so super close to home and pretty close to work too.

Paperwork from hospital will be sent to CARE end of this week. Should expect to hear from them in about 2-3 weeks. I imagine that’ll be to arrange appointments for more scans, another SA and more bloods. Will see consultant after that’s all sorted. Nurse reckoned that’ll all take about 3 months! Super quick if you think about it.

Lkdjul · 18/05/2022 19:00

@Lauralozzle It was actually ok which was a relief as I was dreading it. I’ve had a few friends tell me it’s one of the most painful things you can have but aside from a couple of quite wincey cramps it was actually bearable.

They did find a polyp so looks like my poor uterus has another round to go through but good news that they have something they can act on. Right tube was perfect, left a bit sluggish to fill but he’s pretty sure that is due to where the polyp is sitting. I hope I don’t have to have another!
Glad you’ve got a clinic sorted, good luck with the tests!

Lauralozzle · 20/05/2022 08:48

@Lkdjul im glad it wasn’t too bad. Sorry to hear about the polyp but at least they can remove that. Good that your tubes are fine! That’s a relief.

how Is everyone?

Longbin · 04/06/2022 22:55

@HopefulGlow I have a laparoscopy scheduled in for the end of the month now. I'm not eligible for IVF on the NHS as I paid in 2021 after the appointment mess up and had my daughter. I'm hoping a cause is found and treated so I can continue with IVF. I feel like I have no energy to try naturally anymore. I have bought clomid so I might try that in between IVF cycles, depending on what they find during the laparoscopy. Have you managed to get any further with your referral? I've missed quite a bit of the thread so sorry if you've already updated

Lauralozzle · 06/06/2022 21:21

Quick update from me:

CARE called today, all set up on the portal and scan and consultant appointment is in the diary. Scan is 22nd of this month and consultation is 23rd via video link. It all feels like it’s moving quickly now.

Need to keep on top of my diet mind, I’ve gained a few lbs since my appointment on the 16th last month so need to get my bmi back down to below 30 by then. It’s doable if I’m good!

Tinkerbell098 · 07/06/2022 13:56

@Lauralozzle great news it's moving fast for you. Which CD would you be on the day of the scan? Is it for a baseline scan? I've got my first appointment with the IVF clinic this Thursday so hoping to be starting next cycle if timings work out.

Lauralozzle · 07/06/2022 14:04

@Tinkerbell098 I think I’ll be cycle day 8. They’ve not said it’s a baseline scan but paperwork said it’s to assess womb, follicle count, thickness of womb but they didn’t say it had to be certain cycle day. Just the first they could fit me in before the consultation appointment the day after. I’m guessing after the consultation there will be another appointment where I find out about protocol and stuff. I’m hoping that maybe might start August/September.

Good luck for Thursday!

Tinkerbell098 · 07/06/2022 14:29

@Lauralozzle I'd say they may start downregulation about 2 weeks after your scan so you won't need to wait that long. Fingers crossed X

Lauralozzle · 08/06/2022 07:57

@Tinkerbell098 If they’d start me on down reg two weeks after scan, that’d be amazing!

xoJellyBean · 27/06/2022 19:53

Anyone still on here? How we doing? πŸ₯°

Lauralozzle · 27/06/2022 21:40

@xoJellyBean Still here!

I’ve had a consultation and scan at IVF clinic. Need to wait until my thyroid is under control and below 2.5 before I can start so more waiting around. I have a blood test next month to check my levels, I really hope that they are good then. If not, need to up my medication then wait for another set of blood tests to check.

I really wish they’d have given me thyroid meds before to be honest!

how is everyone?

Tinkerbell098 · 29/06/2022 17:57

@xoJellyBean @Lauralozzle still here! Waiting for my nhs IVF round. First nurse appointment is in a couple of weeks time. I’d be told timelines then I guess. So still waiting!

HopefulGlow · 20/07/2022 21:47

hi everyone!

I’m so sorry I’ve not been talking guys. I really hope you’re all doing okay and I’m so happy to see some of you are moving on in your IVF journeys. I wish you all the best, please keep us posted.

I’ve just been trying not to be on here as much and try and not get too consumed with it all. I hope you understand and I have been thinking of you all ☺️

still no word from our referral but the doctors receptionist said we won’t get any help on the NHS anyway. So we are looking into saving for private now.

sending everyone lots of baby dust to all

@HopefulGlow nice to hear from you. I saw this article that was shared on another group I am on. Read the below bit and I thought of you:

"It will also now be possible to access fertility treatment on the NHS if one half of a couple has a child from a previous relationship."

It sounds very promising, not sure when it will be actioned though!

Bubbles1995 · 27/07/2022 11:09

So guys I got my positive on Monday night on a cheapie. Took a clearblue early detection digital and came up positive with PM wee and it was a dribble as well! (Sorry TMI). We're cautiously excited but hoping for the best. Not going to keep on testing for now but not sure what to do not to set of the symptom checking and anxiety!

Lauralozzle · 27/07/2022 11:13

@Bubbles1995 congratulations! That’s amazing news.

Bubbles1995 · 27/07/2022 20:05

@Lauralozzle thank you! Trying not to overthink and go with the flow!

HopefulGlow · 25/10/2022 11:18

Hi everyone, so sorry for the radio silence. I’ve been trying to work through things with a counsellor and they recommended trying to tune out baby things and step back a bit.

i just wanted to see how everyone is doing as I think about you all and want you to know I’m still sending baby dust and positivity to you all πŸ₯°

@Lauralozzle how are things going with CARE? They have such a good rep and I hope they are looking after you. What’s the latest with your journey?

@LA9610how was your holiday? How are you and little bean doing?! πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯° so happy for you!

@Lkdjul glad your procedure went well, sorry about the polyp. Any news on this now? I hope things are going well.

@Longbin how is the clomid going?? Also how did lap go? Fingers crossed for you 🀞🏼

@Tinkerbell098 thank you for that article! There is hope for us yet πŸ₯° how have you been? How’s your journey going? πŸ’–

@Bubbles1995 oh my goodness congratulations!! So sorry for the delay on sending them. I hope you and little bean are doing well!! πŸ’–πŸ’–

I had my HSG test a few weeks ago, all good and clear and it was too painful which was a relief! However no AF yet and it’s driving me crazy. 4 days late, no symptoms and BFN. What a tease. Just waiting for my partner to get his next set of SA done as the first one was done in a different hospital and apparently they can’t read the results 😩 we have now gone past our 2 year mark but I am feel better all in all.

still have some anger/frustration issues to work out over this but I’m definitely not as miserable about it all now. So that’s hopeful?!

just need to wait to hear from our consultant about next steps and if we can get any further help with the NHS. If not, private may be the way to go for us…when we have the money πŸ₯²

they did say that a lot of people are more likely to conceive in the 3 months after the procedure I had, so fingers crossed for that.

sending you all love and positivity βœ¨πŸ’–βœ¨

Lauralozzle · 25/10/2022 13:18

@HopefulGlow My period was about 7 days later than usual after my HSG. I ovulated a week later than normal after it.

So, I’m not much further. CARE wouldn’t do anything until I had my appointment with endocrinologist and got the ok from them. That appointment was rescheduled by hospital by a month and it took them 6 weeks to send me the letter.

Things are starting to move again though as been sent some paperwork on portal to go through.

Bubbles1995 · 25/10/2022 13:21

@HopefulGlow I've heard good things after people have had HSG so fingers crossed for you!

Thank you we're all good I'm 16 weeks now and we're having a little girl. All going well and we're in shock as we lost all hope after a year and half waiting!

HopefulGlow · 25/10/2022 14:42

@Lauralozzle good to know! They told me it won’t affect my cycle but Dr Google said otherwise too. It’s just hard not to get your hopes up when your period is late isn’t it!

so sorry to hear about the hospital messing you around, what a nightmare! It’s so frustrating when you’ve already been waiting so long too. Fingers crossed it gets sorted soon now the paperwork has come through :)

@Bubbles1995 oh wow! A baby girl!! Congratulations πŸ₯° that’s incredible news. I’m sure it feels so surreal. Hopefully you aren’t having too bad symptoms now πŸ’–

@HopefulGlow it's not been too bad which my anxiety worse. Probably having a worse 2nd trimester than I did 1st. But all good. Doesn't seem real yet x

LA9610 · 25/10/2022 16:41

Hi @HopefulGlow!

So lovely to hear from you :) I hope that the break has done you well and i've got my fingers crossed that the HSG brings you some luck in the next few months or that there is something more the NHS can do for you <3

The holiday was great thank you, Sorrento is such a lovely place! Little bean is doing good thank you for asking, just hit the 30 week mark today... :o cant quite believe it will soon be a single-digit countdown! I've been really lucky, once the nausea disappeared around 14 weeks i've had a really easy ride so far, hoping that continues for as long as possible.

xoJellyBean · 13/12/2022 23:10
