Hi all!

We were getting to the end of the previous thread, so thought it’s best to start a new one.

A quick catch up I think mainly everyone on the old thread is as 12 months + TTC.

Newbies are always welcome.

Just sharing our journeys, supporting each other when possible, and having somewhere to moan and let it all out

I guess there is. But I’ve never been late before, so that would be a first for me. 😬
I’m supposed to get results today between 4-7pm, so in 5-7 hours. 🤭

@lilrosemarie I can see faint on clearblue but I have heard of people not getting positives til well after af was due.
@Tinkerbell098 the doctor told me that used to be the case but they changed the rules - no idea when.

Fra1991 glad you’ve had your private appointment and that sounds so positive! I’m so happy for you.

I didn’t know about still getting NHS when going private so that’s such a relief and a weight off your shoulders. Obviously I’m really hoping you don’t need it and your first round is a success, or sooner ❤️

@lilrosemarie they look like BFP’s to me!! And tink is right, you could have O’d later than you thought. I would still check, maybe get a bunch of strip tests off Amazon so you can use them as much as you like without breaking the bank! 🙂

I’ve just read about your bloods so scratch that previous comment! Haha I have fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼 It’s so exciting, my stomach would be in knots waiting.

@Tinkerbell098 and @HopefulGlow thank you! :) They do look like BFPs, but since they took a while to show up, I think they may be evaps 😬 But the blood results will tell more. I’ll be back with the verdict 😬🤭 and to confirm whether these are just evaps or not.

@Fra1991 you are right! I've just checked on our CCG policy and it says you're still eligible for one round on the NHS if you have had less than 2 cycles privately (under 40 years). They probably acknowledge the long waiting lists on the NHS at the moment and encouraging people to go private if they can to reduce the burden a little bit. it is reassuring, but hope you won't need to go there and it'll work first time. Did they tell you what the costs would be like?

@Tinkerbell098 oh thats good! Yeah I think its a good idea - because there will be people on that waiting list that havent actually waited 2 years so it sorta makes it fairer in a way?!? I dont know.

Aww that’s so lovely that they were finally able to stay over! I bet you’re both buzzing for finally have it all ironed out and you can move forward 🥰

Our holiday is an all inclusive resort holiday, which is far from our usual but I feel like I just want to lie around for a week and have food on demand that someone else made for me 😂😂 so it’ll be very chilled I think, I’m just hopeful the weather behaves for us.

@Fra1991 thank you! We fell on our 15th cycle, after a private tube flush at GCRM the month before - my right tube was blocked and based on follicle count, they guess I ovulate from my right about 70-80% of the time.. but egg couldn’t get down my tube/sperm couldn’t get up 🤦🏼‍♀️ I never take for granted that we got really lucky that there was an obvious, fixable problem, and that the flush unblocked it. My Glasgow NHS hycosy appt was supposed to be this April… so I would still be waiting now for the flush. I felt guilty the same as you, but it was actually the NHS gynae prof that said if we could afford the stand-alone hycosy at GCRM to go do it and let him know how it went. He phrased it as us freeing up the space on the waiting list for another couple on the NHS.

@lilrosemarie any update on your bloods?

All my tests were either false positive/evaps or I had a chemical, because the bloods were negative. 😬 My period is still not here though. I’m expecting it to arrive soon if it was a chemical.

If it doesn’t, then maybe I ovulated late because I had covid just a couple weeks ago, and the tests were just false all this time. 😬😬

@lilrosemarie oh that's really annoying if they were indents/evaps. Especially the clear blue one that was most definitely a positive. Sorry this has happened to you. Hope AF arrives soon so you can get on with the next cycle.

Has this happened to anyone here? Not the false positives, but perfect and anovulatory cycle? Was your period late?
A couple days ago I had a huge amount of ewcm, that was on the same day as the neg. blood test and it got me thinking that I could be ovulating 😬 and not truly late for my period after all.

AF is still not here, and I’m on CD39, usually around 30 days, so it could in fact be ovulation. 😬 If it was chemical, I think I would have got AF already. 😬

I’ve been quiet as just needed a little break from everything.

Currently 12 dpo today so AF should show up anytime now. Not much chance this month, boobs have been horrendously sore this month but I get that sometimes and it always comes to nothing. They’re significantly less painful this morning though, and given the fact we only managed to BD day after peak this cycle not particularly hopeful that we have much of a chance. But, getting this cycle over and gone with brings us closer to the hospital appointment next month and I’m looking forward to that for something to start happening!

@AZ1992X hope you’re feeling a bit better now.

@lilrosemarie I’m sorry your bloods were negative. I get EWCM a couple of days before AF starts most months. I suspect I’ve had some cycles where I think I haven’t ovulated but they’re pretty much same length for me - between 26-34 days.

I’ve not had something like that before sorry. My cycles are usually 24/25 days but I’ve had one recently where I ovulated super early and only had a 21 day cycle. I always find it super frustrating when cycles mess up, like we don’t have enough to deal with 😩

@Lauralozzle I hope your away time has done some good and you’re feeling better.

Fingers crossed for you this cycle but if not I’m happy you have your hospital appointment soon. That will be something to look forward to 💕

Well, I stupidly took a test on Friday because it hadn’t arrived and was due that day, of course it was a stark white negative, about an hour later I had spotting and then woke up at half four in the morning with horrendous period pain. Spent most of yesterday asleep but I feel much better now.

Not had a bad period for ages, so it was about time haha.

I have the next week off as annual leave so looking forward to that. My fertility appointment is March, should be just after ovulation! So, on the diet like a mad woman to make sure my bmi is below 30 in case they inevitably weigh me! I’m looking forward to it though, for some movement. I’m pretty sure after 2 years IVF is on the cards but will be good to see what they say.

@Lauralozzle sorry to hear about your bfn - I find af always comes on right after I dare to get hopeful and take a test. Glad you have your appointment this month!
I’ve had spotting since Thursday so af will be here Wednesday or Friday for me. Had a wee breakdown at work Thursday but thanks to @Amy259 I decided to try to do something about it and book the hycosy so I have that this month which is good. Thank you for the advice Amy, when I thought about it was like if there is a block then mignt aswell get some time to see if that’s the problem. We still can’t get our nhs data so they won’t book our next ivf appointment. Have had to book a SA privately in April just in case.
@lilrosemarie so sorry about your results that is absolutely gutting. I’ve seen somewhere else about those cb ones being super cruel.
@HopefulGlow thank you! Still getting some what high temps but I think it’s just because my sleep has been disrupted😔

Sorry for the radio silence, still really unwell - been diagnosed with Hyperemesis gravidarum and had a few more hospital trips since I last posted.

Finally decided to get signed off other than having just the odd day off. I’m hoping it’ll ease in upcoming weeks as I’m worrying will affect my pregnancy so that’s why I’m a little quiet but still here.

@Fra1991 I Hope AF doesn’t get you, but I’m sorry if she does! It’s good that you’re getting you’re hycosy done soon, hopefully it’ll all be clear.

@AZ1992X oh no! Hopefully some rest will help on the work front so you don’t have to worry about that and the hyperemesis. Fingers crossed for you that you don’t have to have anymore hospital trips and that it stops in the next few weeks. Have they given you anything for the sickness, to help you keep things down?

@Lauralozzle thank you, I hope so. I’ve been on anti sickness the past few weeks but had periods where they won’t stay down due to the sickness and some days they’ve stayed down but it’s not helped ease it at all.

@AZ1992X get some much needed rest and hope you feel better soon xx
