@i123i Same ages and timeline as me and my DP :)

i123i · 19/10/2021 16:42

@Danani - thank you! Keeping everything crossed too so I can actually get excited and share the news with my OH on Friday evening!

Will let you girls know then too (but also know it is painful to see others BFPs so will keep it brief).

@LittleMysSister - oh really? That’s lovely. I am definitely the only one of my friends with such an old parter πŸ˜‚, so it’s good to know there is someone else like me! x

Danani · 19/10/2021 16:53

Oh. I mean, I can’t speak for everyone but I genuinely feel so happy seeing other people’s BFPs on here! I’m also fascinated with when people get their BFPs, what symptoms they had, what they did differently that cycle, etc etc. like I have a bajillion questions πŸ˜‚ Please don’t ever feel like we’re not happy for you (or anyone else with a BFP) or that you need to keep it short! @i123i ❀️

Also love the casual shade πŸ˜‚ 41 is not that old and it’s not old at all for a man πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

i123i · 19/10/2021 16:58

@Danani - ah thanks, that’s very kind of you, and good to know! πŸ’—
Re the age πŸ˜‚ - yes, men’s β€œold” is usually unfairly on another measure compared to women’s, but I still tease him about it!!

Lianna93 · 19/10/2021 17:02

Congratulations @i123i - thank you for sharing your symptoms also

I have the terrible urge to start testing, I've got a bunch of cheapie mommed test strips & I can't see me holding off for another week 😩
It's giving me so much hope the my BBT is still high.

Anyone else still got a week before AF due?

Squiff70 · 19/10/2021 17:03

Many congratulations to you @i123i! To echo what @Danani said, I am also genuinely thrilled for others here when they get their BFP no matter how long they've been trying. I know what joy seeing those two lines brings, how, through weeks, months or years of hoping and praying, you/other ladies finally start their journeys to motherhood.

I am seriously happy for you and wish all the other posters on the Conception boards the same wonderful news. May it happen for everyone!

Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy! Flowers

Squiff70 · 19/10/2021 17:06

@Lianna93 please try not to. Its extremely unlikely you'll see a positive result even if this month is your month. If your period isn't due for another week you'll need to test in a few days with a FRER. I get the urge to POAS (honestly) but it's just too early yet. Hang in there xx

lemons44 · 19/10/2021 17:12

Thanks @Leibee87 and sorry you didn't manage to get an appointment with one. I don't know if this makes you feel better but the psychiatrist I saw recommended the BUMPs website that you also suggested ... so maybe that's where they get a lot of their figures from. (For anybody else in the group who may find this useful, BUMPs stands for 'Best Use of Medication in Pregnancy' and is a website all about risks of medication... not just MH meds but ANY medication during pregnancy).

They did tell me I was fine to stay on the meds during pregnancy but I guess I just wanted to at least try going without. I've started reading Frankie Bridge 'Grow' which is all about her journey with mental health and motherhood (she stayed on MH meds throughout her pregnancy) - it's pretty good so far.

Thank you for your words too @Squiff70 Thanks

Xxx

Lianna93 · 19/10/2021 17:13

@Squiff70 I'm trying so hard to hold off until the 25th at the very earliest because that's the day before AF is due.
I never realised how obsessive it could get wanting to test. The first few months of TTC, I rarely ever tested and now the longer it's gone on, the more I want to test every day and logically, I absolutely know that the likelihood of a BFP this early is very slim, my brains still like 'but what if we squint really hard to see a line' πŸ™„πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Literally just had my Covid booster & flu vaccine so I'm sure the symptoms from that will keep me occupied, first two vaccines I was a poor soul πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Shortmamashortcycles · 19/10/2021 17:16

@Lianna93, stay strong with me - I'm not testing until 25th! The urge is real but I refuse to keep tests in the house which keeps me sane...

Really hope you are doing ok post-booster!

Leibee87 · 19/10/2021 17:20

@Lianna93 yeah Af is due in 10 days. Frustrating. I definitely have a bit of a POAS addiction. DH asked me today when do I need to test and stupidly it's made me want too. Didn't before that. Trying to not test till Af arrival date that's my plan this month anyway. Its so hard.

Lianna93 · 19/10/2021 17:26

@Shortmamashortcycles Ahh - okay we can do this! Only 6 days to go πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

Thank you! If I end up with booster symptoms, I'll likely feel them tomorrow 😬

@Leibee87 You can do it! I hope it's BFPs for all of us - this thread has been full of them 😁!!
My DH never asks πŸ˜‚ I think he forgets half the time that we're TTC until we DTD haha!

Missy95 · 19/10/2021 18:12

Hi ladies! Lots to catch up on today! I hope everyone is feeling well!

Ive just has some very light pink cm and now all my hopes of this month being ours have shattered. I really hope this isn't the start of AF πŸ₯Ί It's left me feeling very deflated after all the symptoms I've been having! Anyone had this before going on to get there BFP? I need some hope restored 🀞

BH1926 · 19/10/2021 18:14

@i123i congratulations πŸ₯³ totally agree with the other ladies it's so nice to see someone get a BFP regardless of how long their TTC hour has been! Wishing you a healthy pregnancy ❀️

laurenGame · 19/10/2021 20:32

@HRHXO @Shortmamashortcycles
Ah the subtle seduction during ovulation..

I think men are natural hunters so if I say 'sex every day this week please' it's just offered on a plate and mine prob wouldn't be as excitedGrin

I don't get dolled up but I'll put like a concealer on and brush my hair. Sometimes a different perfume to 'throw him off' hahah

I'd also go to work office for a day (even though I can wfh). Or make an effort to go see a friend for a few hours. I get home and he's missed me, so I'm all new and exciting to him again πŸ˜‚

laurenGame · 19/10/2021 20:38

@i123i congratulations and you must be new here - we LOVE as much info here as possible πŸ˜‚ we want charts, your symptoms, details, tips, etc etc. I'm so intrigued on others' positive tests so share anything you want!

laurenGame · 19/10/2021 20:45

@i123i and on age, we're the same age (I'm 35 DP 41) it hasn't even occurred to me we're old, where I am first time mothers are usually in their late thirties! We're so healthy and fit so I feel that now is the right age for us to have a Bub. Jamie rednapp is having a baby with his Swedish (wife now) he's 48 she's 37 and they look bloody amazing.

@Leibee87 @Lianna93 my DP never asks when is it test time, either. In fact I've to explain to him several times about ovulation etc., he'd keep making comments like: well you ovulate every month cos you see the flashing smiley , and I'm like : for the million's time, flashing is not the one we're after- it's static πŸ˜„ You can tell the nature didn't give men a fertility deadline

Cruz86 · 19/10/2021 20:49

Hi @Missy95. Is this sort of spotting normal for you? If not, I'd be inclined to say that it sounds promising 🀞🏻

Missy95 · 19/10/2021 21:22

@Cruz86

Hi *@Missy95*. Is this sort of spotting normal for you? If not, I'd be inclined to say that it sounds promising 🀞🏻
Usually light brown spotting to begin with, never pink and never these symptoms. Its so frustrating πŸ₯Ί xx
Squiff70 · 19/10/2021 21:27

@Missy95 we're in the same boat! I had some light pink spotting yesterday morning and nothing since. Still getting BFNs. You're right, it IS bloody frustrating!

Cruz86 · 19/10/2021 21:29

Sounds like me too. I had some bright red blood yesterday and then just spotting when I go for a poo (sorry!) but normally at this point I'd have pink or brown, not red blood. So is it normal and our bodies are just playing tricks on us, or does this mean something different is happening?! 😩😩

Missy95 · 19/10/2021 21:36

@Cruz86 @Squiff70 the waiting game is so intense. I let myself feel so positive today and now I feel really deflated! They say 48hrs after implantation to test! When is your AF due? Mine was yesterday although not unusual to have a 28 days cycle which would be tomorrow (but hasnt been that long since June) I hope to not wake up to AF in the morning πŸ₯Ί xx

Squiff70 · 19/10/2021 21:41

@Cruz86 Yup, absolutely.

@Missy95 technically my AF was due last Friday BUT I ovulated very late this cycle and have a 14 day luteal phase meaning AF is due tomorrow. I'll try not to test again in the morning but I know I will Hmm

Missy95 · 19/10/2021 21:44

@Squiff70 I had planned to test in the morning but now wondering if there is any point πŸ₯Ί xx
