Does anyone else seem to have a long AF? I'm on CD7 already and no sign of it ending yet.

mibbes, I'm 32 too and soooo glad I found MN. If I hadn't, I'd have spent months trying and not really knowing anything. I've learned all sorts which is invaluable and helps keep my confidence up. Also, somehow knowing that you're not alone out there TTC is kind of comforting.

I'm back at the top

Grrr, my mother has just announced (entirely reasonably) that she is using a chunk of money she had put by to pay off the last bit of a mortgage she still has. She promised me and dp the money some time ago for a house deposit if we wanted it, and she did say she would be able to either re-borrow or come up with the money from her (pretty good) income at a later date if I wanted it for a deposit. BUT, she doesn't know I am ttc and I was hoping she would give us the money when I got pregnant as a start to put some by in savings and buy essentials. I know she can re-borrow it, but I suspect she'll be less inclined to give it to us for a baby if it's not easily to hand, She'll say we should keep it for a house deposit at a later date. Which we should, but nonetheless...

I know I am being completely brat-like, but am still a bit

it's weird, I don't feel so bad about it this time either...maybe because i'd spent the weekend already convinced i wasn't pg. sooo glad i didn't do an hpt yesterday

Ooh what a nice thought about Cycle 5 DG - that's what I'm going to think if AF comes to me this month, as I'm on Cycle 4 too.

But, I'm still convinced I'm pregnant and I've cut my drinking right down. I don't even miss it!

Not much point in BDing after CD18, pistachio,not for conceiving baby anyway Well, if your cycle is that predicable.
Once ovulation is over you have about 12-24 hours before the egg is gone (sometimes as little as 6 hours! I was so to find that out!). Best to dance in the 3 days before.

Oh yeah, don't worry pistachio Your man's wee boys live up to 5 days in there, just hanging around waiting, so as long as you are BDing in the days leading to ov, they should be there ready to pounce
I read somewhere else (I think it was on here actually), that you shouldn't do it every day because the wee guys get washed out, so I really wouldn't panic
Sounds like you are on the right lines, give it an extra day as a, just in case BD.

I had a silly moment this morning. dp and me are away at my mum's tomorrow night, but I wasn't concerned as bd activities could occur tonight and sunday night. However, dp suddenly announced he thought we should stay at his sister's tonight after a party, and I had to do some quick thinking to come up with a reason to stay home! He is less obsessed than me (unsurprisingly), since we're only on our first month of ttc, so I didn't want to whine "but I want to stay home because I'm already monitoring my cycle days and want to bd on the right ones and i'm already on cd12" in case he discovered what a loony I am, so he now thinks I have a weird, never before noticed attachement to my own bed and cannot cope with 2 nights away in a row! I think he may secretly know the reason and is overlooking my looniness

Anyone else have these kind of social diary problems?

my DH already knows I'm obsessed. by cycle2 I was already texting him telling him we were going to have sex that night.

(i don't do that now as he just knows that we're to have it at least every other day)

Hopefully I had massive social diary problems last month - a whole week of not bding!! That's probably why I'm convinced I'm pregnant this month, because we had bugger all chance last month!

DH is not as obsessed as me either, but is slowly learning the intricacies I've found it works better if I give him one fact at a time. Boys like facts - but I find it really difficult not to expand on the fact, which he just views any more as obsession and switches off.

So I might say "We need to have sex when I'm ovulating because if I haven't ovulated, we could be doing it ten times a day and there's no egg for your sperm to meet. What time did you say your Mum was coming round?" Or "It's hard to know when I've ovulated because I don't know how long my cycle is going to be. Those stairs really need hoovering, I'll just get the vaccuum..." Then only continue talking about it if he asks you a question. DH just found it too overwhelming to be given all the information at once!

I like your thinking Excitable! I also like the way you've managed to obscure the requests to do chores by confusing your dh with ovulation information. A plan with no drawbacks

Work is a pile of poo. It's my last day before I break up for Christmas today and I can't find any motivation anywhere. I went to see Take That last night, and this is just not exciting enough!
