Anyone want to join? I'm 34 and TTC #1. 2DPO and managed to only DTD twice as we were travelling for our honeymoon. Only using OPK's at the moment but may start temping in the next few months if no luck.

Thank you! I did test ovulation and got what I thought was my peak, so I stopped testing.

I hope once is enough, stuff just didn't work out this weekend. We are currently living apart as renovating a house so both are at our parents which isn't ideal!

I just realised this group was for trying for your first baby.... I have an 8 year old son can I still stay? I was youngggg when I had him so wasn't planned so this is all very new to me even though I already have a child! X

Sometimes life gets in the way, but I only DTD twice and I’m getting faint lines so it really is quality over quantity. It’s a lot to get your head round when TTC I agree. Part of me wishes I could just forget all the tracking and just get on with DTD, but I’m just not that laid back 😂 xx

Life is so busy isn't it sometimes. Ah yeah, I'm chilled in most instances but I want to track and temp and everything to try for a baby. I think because I didn't do any of that for my first pregnancy 🤷🏻‍♀️

I can see the line too! Everything crossed for you 😃 AF due on Tuesday (I think) I'm not sure exactly how many DPO I am, according to the OPK I'm 7DPO but it's the first month using them. Not sure whether to wait til Tuesday to test. I have had a few stabby pains and weird pressure but I don't know if I'm just very aware or if it's AF on her way!

Hi all, can I join? In the first cycle of ttc #1 and mainly just DTD and not really tracking anything. I'm not exactly sure where in my cycle I am as this is my first one following the removal of my implant in August. I've pretty much been on contraception of one form or another for 10 years so no idea what my cycles are really like! Nice to read other's experiences, I got really excited when I saw some EWCM this morning so nice to know I'm not alone .

@BeatAroundTheBush so so different. I was 19 when I fell pregnant... it wasn't an exciting time it was very scary. And I was judged a lot. So now I want to do everything, I want to feel excited! I want people to be happy when I tell them (especially my partner) so it's all very different and I want to enjoy every moment as I feel I missed out last time.

@JonSnowsCloak so annoying trying to figure out what's AF symptoms or what's early pregnancy... who made them basically the same?! 😂

@AlbatrossSociety EWCM for the win! I was chatting away to my boyf about this over lunch the other week, was like "it's so cool isn't it?" Looked up and his face was like this... 😳🤢
Not sure why he wasn't as thrilled about it as me lol.

Well I have Messed up massively I think. I didn't test LH on Saturday all day as had other stuff on. I then had EWCM and Sunday and today my temp has risen dramatically. So think I missed my peak. I am going to keep testing all this week to see if I do get a peak if I don't will take it that I got in Saturday, do you think this sounds like a plan? If so officially in the 2WW and DTD the day before ovulation which is better than me ovulating sometime this week as would deff not have a chance. Slightly gutted I have may of missed seeing my first LH peak though 😩☹️

@BeatAroundTheBush I'm waiting for my peak too 😊 Probably about 10 days away though for me.. Feeling good about this month for some reason! I've stopped tracking my temperature which has made me so much more relaxed.. taking is every morning is a constant reminder of TTC so I literally think about nothing else! 🙄 Much better without but I reckon I'll be back to it next cycle if this one isn't the one 🤣

@MrsYan Hey!! 🥰 I really wouldn't worry about the peak, I've missed mine soo many times. Mine appear some time in the afternoon and then disappear by the evening 🙄😂 So I can only really catch it if I'm working at home and have a moment to do a test! Excited for your journey!! 😀😀

Waved goodbye to AF a few days ago 🎉 Just waiting around for the egg whites now 👀🥚 DP seems really excited/enthused this month which is great 😀 I feel like us ladies get SO excited so it's nice to have DP join in 🤣 Main challenge is not getting distracted whilst trying to work 😵‍💫

@MrsYan Hahaha I know last night I was saying to my husband that I think I'm around ovulation time and he hopefully went 'Oh how do you know? Is it because you're really horny?' And I said 'no I can tell from discharge!'. His face fell so quickly.

I'm worried that if I start tracking and temping I'll get too obsessed and hoping I can just go with the flow a bit. It all seems a bit confusing and overwhelming too! I don't know how long I'll be able to stay relaxed about it.

@CatLady93 my husband's really excited but also convinced we'll conceive straight away and probably twins so I think he may actually be more gutted if it doesn't happen quickly than I will be! I'm expecting it to take a while for me for some reason.

Morning all!

It’s still just as faint on a cheapy test but 100% still definitely there. I didn’t want to waste my last FR (I’ve spent about £4,000 on tests this month 😂) so I’m going to hold out for a few days and see if it gets darker on the cheap ones first. I’m back at the walk in centre today as they want to run more tests on my urine to check the protein has gone so I’m going to ask if I can get a blood test whilst I’m there and show them the photo.

@MrsYan isnt it just! Had some cramps today and negative cheapie so it doesn't look like it will be this month as I think I'm due on tomorrow. Husband is made up to be actively trying 😆

@CatLady93 haha an adventure is the best way to look at it. Ooooo glad AF has left 👌🏽 now onto the fun stuff. I'm glad your DP is enthusiastic, even though woman have to go through some rubbish being pregnant is exciting and men obviously can't experience that. I don't think my boyfriend thinks it will happen for some time... So he's not that excited yet. I think when it happens he will be so excited. How long have you and your partner been together?

Also currently in TWW, currently day 6/7 DPO I think (didn't use OPK strips so not 100% sure but usually pretty regular).

I'm 34 and this is cycle 2 TTC for the first time. I was sure it would happen straight away but getting increasingly anxious that I've left it too late and it will take a long time. DTD every day before ovulation so hoping we did enough!

The last couple of days I've had some stomach cramps/sharp pains which I think is unusual but also think it may be too early for implantation so trying not to read too much into it. Last month I was testing obsessively but trying to hold off this month to not waste the tests.

@Bd1787 it's so hard isn't it, I had cramps today too and spent ages wondering what it could be. I'm using clue and flo and they each predicted completely different ovulation dates, one at the beginning of last week and one yesterday. I haven't had an actual cycle in so long that I don't know what's normal for me, or if I'm thinking too much into feelings that I'd usually ignore.

Hope everyone's having a nice evening, I'm shattered. We're in the middle of moving house, we have until Saturday to get all of our stuff across and I swear we took so much over to the new house today but then I come back here and there's so much left to go! Not looking forward to trying to juggle work with moving for the rest of this week.

@MrsYan thank you for the reassurance. Realistically I know it can take time, a friend of mine recently took 6 month and I know that's completely normal too. I am just so impatient and the wait to try again feels so long doesn't it?

@AlbatrossSociety it's so hard not to read into every niggle isn't it? I have been using my regular period tracker for tracking but haven't temped or used the opk strips consistently so if it doesn't happen this month I'm going full swing into tracking. Xx

Still waiting for AF day late but sure she is on its way. Think they're just not regular after having implant removed as am having no particular pregnancy symptoms. Will test tomorrow if she doesn't come by morning. It's frustrating because I am pretty sure I'm not pregnant so want it to come again so we can try again.

Hello ladies, I'm not sure if this is the correct thread for me as we're not 'actively' TTC but not not trying either if that makes sense!

I came off the pill about 10 days ago after 15 years (11 years on that particular mini pill with no periods at all) so no idea what my body is going to do yet!

The plan was to wait until after Xmas and try and get my cycles back but we've kind of abandoned that idea already and are just 'seeing what happens'.

I'm 31, and this will be my first time. I'm not really sure what I'm hoping for but deep down I'm already excited about testing so I guess that says it all!

The only issue I have is like I say, I've not had a period in 11 years so no idea when I should be testing? I'll probably test every 2 weeks or something..

Anyway good luck to you all and lots of baby dust!
