Hiya to our newbies and those who haven't checked in for a while.
I'm a little scared to have AMH checked in case they say its too low to conceive and then our chances are gone. Sometimes living in ignorant bliss isn't a bad thing.
I'll see what happens this month and keep everything crossed for us all.

oxfordinwinter85 · 11/02/2022 10:48

@TTCat40 it's kind of accurate 🤷🏻‍♀️
I'm really trying to listen to my body as well...I felt like had a flush/rise in temp today and the app calendar was sort of suggesting this was after fertile window..

As you can see I'm tying to pick days to DTD within that time...

Didn't use an app when we conceived DD1...but I was 39 then.

Hi ladies!
Just checking in. How are we all?

I'm in my TWW. I believe I'm 2dpo. Here's hoping xx

DOB78 · 15/02/2022 20:32

Hi I'm also in TWW 4dpo and trying to stay busy!!

Marvellouslymadmum · 15/02/2022 21:24

@dollymixture31 your afc can change month to month I've been told.

@Equimum I take pregnacare, folic acid, vit c,d,e ubiquinol ( high dose coq10)

@MadameHeisenberg there are people who get pregnant at the beginning of menopause because of all the elevated hormones, you never know!

@oxfordinwinter85 hi and welcome, I have 5 apps and find they all predict different things even with all the extra input! Bbt is a good indication of ovulation if you don't use opk

@Geriatric1234 hey glad to hear you're doing well.

@October1979 I think that calculation is a bit out as 1pmol is .66 ng so yours should be about 1.58ng/ml which isn't that bad

I'm in my tww as well, 4dpo. Just had my consultant phone app who is putting my clomid up to 100mg too 🤞🏻

October1979 · 15/02/2022 22:00

I'm 1dpo so 2ww for me too. Fingers crossed for us all. Thanks@Marvellouslymadmum feeling a bit better with your calculations xxx

Evening all, good luck to everyone. At 42 I’m hoping ttc again very soon. Xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 15/02/2022 22:27

@October1979 in any case it's better than mine - no idea if mine is in pmol or ng but mine is 1.2!

@Maybebaby7 hi I'm also 42 (43 soon though) good luck

Maybebaby7 · 15/02/2022 22:30

@Marvellouslymadmum thank you good luck 🤞

Maybebaby7 · 15/02/2022 22:31

Sorry ladies quick question. Is it a given that I should be taking progesterone as see many people taking it? I’m new to ttc after 5 years x

Marvellouslymadmum · 16/02/2022 09:33

@Maybebaby7 no it isn't, progesterone is prescription only and though there are now guidelines to make it more accessible that's more for people with recurrent miscarriage x

dollymixture31 · 16/02/2022 09:49

Thank you for the reassurance! I've also read that different sonographers count in different ways... some exclude follicles below a certain diameter. I suppose you'd need the same person each time to be able to compare. I'm taking the supplements and trying to exercise and hoping for the best.

IsabelHerna · 16/02/2022 11:08

@Maybebaby7 No it's not for everyone, for example I am not taking it atm cause according to my bloodwork I dont need it.

Kelb79 · 16/02/2022 11:18

Hey lovelies, I loiter here and watch posts but haven’t posted in a while. TTC has just been getting right on top of me 😵‍💫

The info you’ve been sharing lately has been sooo helpful though!! 🙏🏼
We’re doing a final push at conceiving naturally before starting IVF (possibly in Spain)
I conceived naturally after 2 years TTC in August but had a MMC at 9 weeks ☹️
I just ordered Dhea & Coq10 and I’ve booked an appointment with a Chinese fertility doctor for acupuncture.
I’m just a bit confused and wanted your opinion….
I was told my AMH was really high for my age but they said 13 which I don’t understand as all the data talks about number between 0-3?? 🤔🤔
I’ve since been told my AFC might be low - had higher counts previously but latest count was 6 😵‍💫 hence getting on with IVF before it gets any lower but hoping it was an inaccurate count as the sonographer was training someone so it wasn’t the most fluid and straightforward scan!!

DOB78 · 17/02/2022 19:26

Just got our Fertility Clinic appt through.......Happy and nervous about going!!

stuntbubbles · 17/02/2022 21:02

Hello, I looked everywhere for this thread recently but the conception board is like a needle in a haystack.

Also in the TWW again, 5 or 6dpo. I have a new theory of time which is my period lasts approximately forever, building up to ovulation lasts approximately forever, the five-day fertile window lasts 0.2 seconds and DP is always busy/ill/awol for said seconds, and the TWW is the ninth circle of hell and lasts for seventeen centuries.

Yay for your appointment @DOB78

DOB78 · 17/02/2022 22:32

@Stuntbubbles hahahha it honestly does feel like that, I wonder why time changes during TTC??
Thanks just hoping they don't tell me my ovaries are as empty as the desert😬

TTCat40 · 18/02/2022 10:35

Morning ladies!

@Kelb79 - to be honest, I don't know too much about AMH levels. 13 sounds good though! What was the unit of measurement they used? Not sure if that makes a difference x

@DOB78 - Yes to your appointment! Exciting times! I'm pretty sure the ovaries are not as dry as the desert😅. Let us know how it goes x

@stuntbubbles - couldn't have said it better myself! It's torturous 😫 Trying not to symptom spot here but 🥴

stuntbubbles · 18/02/2022 11:03

There’s also the five minutes between each time you fish a test out of the bin to stare at it: that lasts five years.

Just realised my period is due the exact day I’m to see my pregnant SIL who’s due when I would have been. Thanks, universe!

But in good news I’ve managed to get DP on the vitamins. TMI but he’s feeling the TTC pressure so this month we did DIY artificial insemination with Tupperware and a Calpol syringe 🤦🏻‍♀️ and whether it’s the unsexiness of Tupperware or his age or what, the um… outcome was only 1ml each time. He hydrates like a beast but any tips for upping volume? My next step is to send him for a test – I’m planning ahead to switch to IVF when I hit 41, as chances apparently drop off at 42 so I don’t want to spend years trying naturally while our IVF chances wither.

DOB78 · 18/02/2022 12:18

@TTC@40 Thanks I am a little worried they'll tell us we've got no chance and we're wasting our time. Hiw are you doing this month?

TTCat40 · 18/02/2022 12:24

Haha! I have that 'fishing test out of the bin to see whether a magical line has appeared' syndrome!

Oh no! How typical! Why do our bodies play cruel tricks like that? I hope it goes well at your SIL xx

I haven't got any shortcut ways to up the volume but I do know that cutting out smoking/drinking (if he does), exercise, eating well (all that normal stuff) can help. Great that he's on vitamins!
I actually went to a talk on IVF on Sunday and have decided that my partner and I should start looking at getting the ball rolling. I'm going to book some tests next week. Still hoping that I can conceive naturally but like you, I'm going to be 41 in a few months and don't want to waste IVF chances.

DOB78 · 18/02/2022 12:26

@stuntbubbles that does sound a little unsexy. I'm not sure about helping volume, OH did try Conceive Plus but I don't think it did anything 🤔.

stuntbubbles · 18/02/2022 12:40

@TTCat40 @DOB78 Thank you. He actually quit drinking totally a month ago, so maybe just need to give it time to kick in. Non-smoker. Definitely sedentary, we eat OK but he’s a nuts and crisps addict. We’re both a bit overweight post-pandemic so focusing on that next.

Booking tests sounds like a good idea – gives you some semblance of control and information, at least, instead of sex and bin fishing.

Maybebaby7 · 18/02/2022 15:06

Hi ladies. I’m day 1 post ovulation according to flo app, 42 & on no vitamins. Going to see what happens this month if nothing then will start vits.
I have 2 dc so this will be our last. Have mc 3 & 1 cp in the past so nervous x

DOB78 · 18/02/2022 20:53

@TTC@40 Sorry if you've said before but how long is your TTC journey?

I'm.going to start putting tests straight in the big bin to stop the bin dipping shenanigans.
